One of our favorite things about Owls Hoot and Kerri is that you don't just feel like another date on the calendar, everything is intimate, unique and thoughtfully run. You are truly cared for, not just processed.
Our wedding was a bit unconventional and Kerri brought it to life. We chose to do a private ceremony the night before and a larger celebration the next day and it was truly the best decision we made. Having that quiet meaningful moment allowed us to truly soak it all in and then fully enjoy the celebration with no rush. It was magical.
Kerri is one of a kind- warm, organized, flexible and genuinely invested in her couples. She made the entire experience so fun and seamless! You're not just booking a venue - you're working with someone that will really make whatever your dream wedding looks like come true.

We are so grateful to Kerri and the whole team at Owl’s Hoot! We visited the venue multiple times in the months leading up to our wedding and each time it looked pristine and beautiful. Kerri and her team add all these little touches that really made our wedding feel so warm and personal. They helped us realize our vision and it turned out better than we could have imagined. We can’t recommend Owl’s Hoot enough to anyone looking to have their wedding or host an event in the Hudson Valley.

Back when my fiance and I were searching for our perfect venue to host our wedding, we already knew we wanted a barn themed wedding. We went to visit a few locations, and searched many more online for days on weeks. It was when we stumbled upon this venue that we knew our search was over.

Owls Hoot Barn checked off every box we wanted in a wedding venue. There were even factors we had not necessarily considered in a venue that OHB was and to deliver without fail. The grounds of venue - gorgeous, the owner and her entire family/team - most amazing people you can find, decor and supplies - everything we wanted and needed, overall experience - exactly what you would expect when you think of a small piece of paradise/heaven! And this also includes the fact that our beloved pups were allowed to be on the grounds and partake in our special day!

The owner of the venue, who was also our wedding coordinator, went above and beyond to help us arrange everything we needed to make it wedding perfect. Even going as far to come back on site for our rehearsal dinner during her own wedding anniversary! How many people would be willing to do that? Her passion for ensuring every couple out there sees their vision fulfilled is truly one that is undeniable and unique. We could not have pulled this off, let alone reduce our wedding planning stress significantly, without her help.

My now wife, our current (and future pups) and myself now have found a place we don't just refer to as a hidden gem, but a small place we can call another home. For any future couples out there, whether you are considered local or coming from another state of the U.S. entirely, you will fall in love with OHB. My wife probably would think I shouldn't leave too long of a review as some people might think "that one is too long to read" but I can't help express how much we truly were blessed with this place...so much that even to this day we joke about doing it all over again just to relive our wedding weekend back in October 2025. For any current/future couples out there searching for a wedding venue in Hudson Valley, NY...this place should absolutely be #1 on your list!

Kerri and Owls Hoot Barn are truly a slice of New York State that everyone should experience at least once in their life. My wife and I got married here in October 2025, and we cannot stop chasing the feeling of that day.

Kerri is a true master of her craft. Every single detail—big and small—is thoughtfully planned and executed with care. From the moment you step onto the property, you can feel the intention behind everything she’s created. Nothing feels overlooked, rushed, or generic. It’s clear that this isn’t just a venue for Kerri—it’s a labor of love.

For my groomsmen and me, being at the barn was also an incredible way to truly connect with nature. Between the grounds, the setting, and the atmosphere, it was the perfect place to slow down and be present leading into such a meaningful weekend. We highly recommend renting the sauna for the weekend and hitting the natural cold plunge—it was an unforgettable experience and a highlight for all of us.

With the many lodging options available, it was amazing to have our closest friends and family all staying right on the grounds. Being able to spend so much time together made the entire weekend feel even more special and intimate.

We find ourselves trying to get back to the barn as much as we can, just to walk the grounds and relive our special day. There’s something incredibly grounding and nostalgic about being there; it instantly transports us back to the joy, love, and magic we felt on our wedding day.

We had our wedding at Owl's Hoot Barn in October and it was more beautiful and more perfect than we could have ever imagined! Kerri, the owner, does this in her sleep and she was so helpful with getting local venders (everything from the in-house caterer, a school bus to shuttle guests, a local DJ, and more!). She has a whole barn worth of decorations for you to choose from to personalize your wedding. And the grounds are so beautiful and make the perfect backdrop to a wedding. It's so hard to find an affordable barn wedding in Upstate New York and we somehow stumbled across the perfect venue that worked with our tight budget. And - being able to have all of the wedding weekend actives on the grounds was icing on the cake. Our guests have not stopped talking about how much fun they had! 10/10 would recommend!

Our wedding at Owl’s Hoot Barn was pure magic. It felt like stepping into a fairytale surrounded by rustic charm and natural beauty. One of the most special parts was the 15 minutes my wife and I had alone in the conservatory right after the ceremony, enjoying appetizers and our signature cocktails before seeing our guests. That quiet moment together was unforgettable.

Kerri and her team are an absolute dream to work with. They are warm, communicative, and so thoughtful. Their wedding weekend flexibility made everything stress-free, including helping us plan a beautiful backup ceremony spot when the grass was too wet for our original location. The cottages on the property offer incredible on-site accommodations, each uniquely decorated and perfect for family and friends to stay in, making the weekend feel like a cozy retreat.

The vendors Kerri works with were incredible, and our taco truck party, dinner, and brunch all went seamlessly. Our Gothic forest-inspired theme came to life in the most breathtaking way. Owl’s Hoot Barn is also an LGBTQ+ friendly venue, which meant so much to us and made us feel completely welcomed and celebrated.

Owl’s Hoot Barn is a true gem, and we could not have imagined a more perfect place to start our forever.

We just had our wedding here on Sept 28th and it was a whole experience in the best possible way. I HIGHLY recommend doing the full weekend buyout which is what we did. This venue is unlike any other. Restored barns and houses for guest accomodations from the 1800s!!! The character is unmatched i promise you won't find anything like it at any of the other barn venues in the hudson valley. There are houses and cabins and campers on site to sleep 30 guests and hotels are 5 minutes away. Every guest that was staying on site was blown away at the amenities and it truly made this feel like a big family vacation for 3 days. Kerri, the owner, is so accommodating and her talent and organization is absolutely mind blowing. She and her team are a well oiled machine and our day went off without a hitch. Her sense of design alone is your 1800s cottage dream. All reclaimed antique furniture and fixtures. She is so generous and helpful to everyone, very flexible and responsive, kind and knowledgeable. I can assure you won't be disappointed. She has a great variety of preferred vendors she can recommend you to since she has so many years of experience doing this. All of our guests said this was a wedding they will always remember and definitely stood out from all the others. I can confidently contribute that to the venue and the weekend experience Kerri gave us and our guests. I honestly can not say enough good things about this venue and Kerri!! Her service and venue are unmatched!!

What started off as wedding venue hunting turned into a perfect intimate engagement proposal at the Owls Hoot Barn’s newest Conservatory. After my fiancé had proposed the month before, I knew from my first phone call with Kerri that I had made the right choice in choosing her to help plan my turn to propose. We ended up being the first engagement at the Conservatory and her excitedness and eagerness when I asked if I could arrange a surprise proposal while we were set to tour the venue, made me confident that I was in good hands. After having to quickly take advantage of a last minute opening in my fiancé’s very busy schedule, in a matter of three days Kerri was able to set up a perfect mediterranean-style dinner for two with a champagne toast along with a photographer in the picturesque, window filled Conservatory. Afterwards we were able to spend the night in the nest cabin and had so much fun taking in the views from the hot tub.

Although our very large Long Island wedding guest list didn’t end up being logistical to host at the property, I am very grateful to have incorporated and made a lasting memory at the Owls Hoot Barn. I know we will definitely be back to visit.

Owls Hoot Barn is a special venue and truly exceeded our expectations.

We knew within the first few minutes of arriving at Owls Hoot that this would be where we wanted to host our wedding; the more we walked around the property, the more excited we became about that possibility. We ended up grabbing the very last weekend available for the following Fall, confirming it within a few minutes of leaving the venue as we were completely certain on our choice.

We developed a friendship with Kerri, who took a special interest in helping us tailor our ideal wedding and was available to us before, during, and after our wedding; and we can’t emphasize enough how important having that relationship has been to us. Kerri is a wonderful and caring person, and she cares deeply about the experience she helps create for her guests.

We have made several weekend trips up to Owls Hoot, twice prior to our wedding, with the excuse of doing some early planning, but primarily to relax and immerse ourselves in the beautiful property before the big day. We also made a return trip, post-wedding, just after our first wedding anniversary, a great way to celebrate our special day and a tradition we intend to continue as best we can. Also, each time we visit, Kerri surprises us with new additions or work being done on the property, a real plus for both new and returning guests.

We’re so happy we found this place and we can’t imagine a better venue than Owls Hoot for a rustic barn wedding. Our whole experience was truly special and we look forward to our return trips in the years ahead.
