We used the Ohio State Golf Club for our wedding reception on 5/30/15. We chose a buffet style meal for our guests, and with the food, selecting to have 2 drink tickets per guest, and all set up done for us- the price was incredibly reasonable! Our wedding was travel themed- so the English Tudor style on the outside was an added elegant touch. Inside are beautiful dark wood beams and views of the golf course. The venue for our 117 guests perfectly, but if you have more than that I don't believe the venue would be comfortable. The location is excellent. We offered guests the Blackwell Hotel on campus (only a 6 minute drive) and the Polaris Hilton (which is closer to our home) and only a 15 minute drive. It is very centrally located in Columbus. For a buffet, the food was pretty good. I think to have people rave about a buffet steak says a lot! Our favorite part of the Venue is Bob! Bob will take care of every detail of your event, he is willing to meet as many times as you'd like (we texted and emailed many times!), and can help any event come to fruition. He has a lot of expertise in event planning- he is definitely an asset to OSU! We had an incredible reception- I would highly recommend it to anyone!

I had many people tell me that we served the best wedding food that they have ever had! Everything was fresh, crisp and delicious! The wait staff stayed "invisible" while attending to all of our guests in a efficient manner. Bob, the manager, is quick to respond and very accommodating. Best of all, the Golf Club is affordable and we got the entire venue to ourselves!

When we first visited this venue, we knew it was the one. The pricing sounded perfect, the venue is unique with stone walls and wood ceilings, and the food was great. The staff there is very lax, so for an extremely detail oriented bride, it was hard to just hear, “we’ll discuss that 2 weeks prior to the wedding”. The reception was beautiful, the wait staff was great, the food was delicious. We ran into minor mishaps towards the end due to some guests and the DJ deciding to play past his contracted time. Unfortunately, the management put all their stress and frustration onto the bride and her family, which should have been between the two vendors. Also, some details that we requested were never fulfilled that were promised to us. But overall, it was a wonderful reception and the bad parts were only visible to us, not our guests.
