Oh Sew Perfect is a professional alterations service with locations in Poughkeepsie and Goshen NY.
With over 20 years experience, Holly, owner and seamstress, specializes in bridal gowns, bridesmaids, and mothers gowns right on down to the little wee ones.
All appointments are private, one on one sessions. Its recommended to allow 3-4 months from your first fitting to your last as an ideal timeline to make all the alterations. Keep in mind, most brides meet for 4 fittings depending on what you're having done to the gown.
Don't forget to bring all undergarments, shoes and accessories to your fittings. Its fun and exciting to see how the dress will evolve into the perfect fit and to envision your overall wedding day look.

I found my wedding dress at a lovely, local shop in Kingston NY called Blush Bridal Boutique. I loved this boutique and my experience with the owner, Emily, so much - but what was even better was her included a recommendation of working with Holly of Oh Sew Perfect. Holly is a professional seamstress with locations in Poughkeepsie and Goshen NY. Pre-pandemic Holly used to work with Emily out of the shop in Kingston, but because of the pandemic, we traveled right to her studio space in Poughkeepsie and her home in Goshen. Both are convenient and easy to get to.
With over 20 years of experience, Holly specializes in bridal gowns, bridesmaids, and mothers' gowns. Holly did an incredible job with my dress and my mom’s mother-of-the-bride dress. She made all of the fixes we wanted in a quick and timely manner. She is a busy woman though so make sure you inquire early. All appointments are private, one on one sessions.
My dress fit perfectly and was ready in perfect time for my special day. Even when I found out I was expecting, Holly made quick adjustments to make sure I was comfortable with my tiny baby bump. I cannot recommend Holly enough. Thank you, Holly, for your care and attention and helping me feel beautiful on my wedding day.-

Holly did an absolutely incredible job with my dress alterations. She was so responsive and accommodating. She really went above and beyond to make sure my dream dress fit perfectly. She also helped explain in great detail how to hang, store, bustle, and care for the dress. I believed the dress would need minimal alterations, but the changes Holly made transformed the fit and somehow made the dress far more gorgeous. Thank you, Holly!Oh Sew Perfect's reply:
