Our wedding photos are incredibly unique and stylistic! Nelson captured ALL our moments, and even reminded us of pictures we didn't get to during the wedding due to timing and made sure we got the specific pictures we wanted. He was so organized. We didn't lose out on any pictures, he was also so incredibly calm on a crazy day. Our wedding day and memories of our day were absolutely perfect. We are so grateful to have worked with Nelson in capturing our wedding day. He did an absolutely incredible job making sure he snapped the most special moments. We gave him a photo shoot list of the people we wanted to make sure we got side-by-side pictures with and he was very efficient in getting those photos taken so we could head over to cocktail hour and spend time with our guests. Our venue was also extremely photo opportunistic, we had so many areas we wanted to take photos and somehow Nelson made it happen where we didn't take too much time away from our guests. With all the special moments Nelson was able to capture, he somehow got our final photos back to us in only a short few weeks following our wedding day. We cannot recommend Nelson enough! After looking through many photographers' portfolios, we really appreciated many aspects of Nelson's style. On the artistic side, we loved that all of his shots have great composition, a good balance of posed shots with candids; he has a great mix of "artsy" and "true to life" shots, and most importantly he captures not only the important moments of weddings but also how loves ones react to these important moments. On the technical side, we appreciated that his photographs are well lit (not over-exposed/blown out, as seems to be the current trend with many photographers), few photos have an obvious flash, and he has the skill to capture fast movement (like dancing, which was important to us!). He brought all of these skills to both our engagement photoshoot and our wedding, and we've loved the results.

While preparing for the wedding, he made the process painless - probably the easiest vendor conversations we've had - and he was able to speak with us on both artistic and technical levels. On the day of the wedding, he brought a warm smile, calm energy, and was great at getting interesting and fun shots with us and our guests. He has consistently been easy to talk to, open to suggestions (and quick to kindly offer his own!), and professional throughout. We've already been thinking of excuses to work with him again, and that should tell you all you need to know!

He was easy to get a hold of throughout the years-long covid-delayed wedding planning process and he made time for multiple phone conversations to make sure we were all on the same page.

On our wedding day, the two of us were so anxious and frantic, but Nelson brought such a warm, calming energy, as did his 2nd photographer which he brought. We really like how it never got too "posey" or "cheesy". Throughout the shoot, things felt really natural and organic.

Our photos came quick! The dust from our wedding had barely settled when our photos were ready for downloading and we got to relive the magic of our big day all over again. The photos came out GORGEOUSLY, especially the ones of the two of us.

We worked with Nelson and his assistant on our 11/6/21 wedding. We originally booked Nelson for our 3/21/20 wedding date. He was one of the only vendors who from the start understood our initial concern and need to reschedule our wedding. He was extremely flexible and accommodating throughout. Nelson always made time to chat with us regarding our upcoming wedding date. He helped us put our mind at ease and made the whole experience comfortable and relaxing. Nelson and his assistant were on time and very efficient on the day of. They went out of their way to capture different shots in specific lighting/background. I recently got the photos back and am so happy with how everything came out. Not only is Nelson an incredibly talented photographer, but he is also a genuinely nice person. We had many family members compliment him and how attentive he was throughout the day. We cannot recommend NylaGray enough and hope to be able to work with him again the future!

From start to finish, the process of booking with Nelson and Nylagray was seamless and simple!

My husband and I found Nylagray when Googling photos of weddings at our venue and fell in love with Nelson's perspective while watching slideshows on the Nylagray website. All of our communications occurred via email which made things super simple for a couple who both work long hours and had an eventful year leading up to the wedding. I was so impressed when Nelson emailed me the week of our wedding with photos he had taken while scouting our location (in NJ) for areas to do just bride and groom photos which I had requested happen before photos with our families at the wedding venue. That's dedication! As a character performer I am used to having my photo taken but in "posed" portraits, but this was my first photo session of this type. I was actually a little nervous about how natural the photos between my husband and I would come out because of that, but Nelson was able to simply capture moments of us as they happened without us having to feel coached or like we were being watched...hahaha. We quickly got all of the photos we wanted done with immediate family and our tiny wedding party, and Nelson was kind enough to offer to take posed photos during the reception that any of our guests wanted for a good 30 minutes until everyone was done.

The cost of the package was 100% worth it and we were so thrilled to be able to digitally download the photos for free and offer that service to our guests, since there were so many great candid shots of our guests as well as posed family and friend photos! The feedback we've gotten from guests and friends who were not in attendance is that they are the best wedding photos they have ever seen....and my husband and I agree!
