We could not have been happier! From the beautifully played accoustic guitar versions of our picked songs for the ceremony to the helpful announcements throughout the wedding to the great weaving of our song requests into a party where the dancing never stopped. We had a blast and got tons of compliments from our guests.

My husband and I hired Nick to sing and play an acoustic music set for the farewell brunch during our wedding weekend in Palm Desert this fall, and we could not have been more thrilled with the experience! First, we decided fairly late in the planning process that it would be such a treat to have an acoustic singer for part of our wedding weekend, and Nick made himself readily available only 6 weeks before the event. He reached out to us for inspiration regarding the vibe we were hoping to achieve, and even requested that we send a list of songs we would like to hear during the event. I absolutely love music and sent a pretty ambitious list of favorites about a month before the big day. By day of the event, Nick had mastered every song we requested, and he included them all in our set! We were so impressed by this, as it really exemplified his obvious dedication to and love of his work. I also shared with Nick that one of the reasons we were initially drawn to working with him was the beautiful cover of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” he played on his website, which was my late mother’s favorite song. When he played that song at our event, my dad, siblings, and I all gathered around him and sang with him. This small gesture was such a special surprise for my family, because it was one more way in which we could include my mom in our wedding weekend, even though she couldn’t be there in person. Nick totally understood that and it made the experience even more memorable! Finally, Nick was also truly a joy to work with. He was hardworking, professional, kind, and easygoing, even staying longer than his original contract specified until the last guest had left. We were so incredibly happy to have Nick as part of our special weekend, and our guests have continued to compliment his work regularly in the months since the event. Blown out of the water by Nick! He was so easy to work with, very straightforward with what he needed from me regarding song preferences and suggestions a month before the wedding. We hired him for both live ceremony/cocktail and DJ at reception. I let him know before hand (warned him) that both my mother and my mother-in-law would be a lot to handle (lol) at the wedding regarding trying to grab the mic and trying to convince him to play “their” music. Kudos to you! You honored my request to play what my husband and I wanted only! Thank you! My husband and I had a moment during our cocktail hour where we actually looked at each other and heard one of our songs “Yellow” by Coldplay and it felt magical. My husband and I danced all night and that’s all that matters!!

I am not musical in anyway and my only request for a DJ was that he not be annoying as an MC. My husband took on the task of finding a DJ and was thorough in his search. We had a great call with Nick and felt confident that he could meet my husband’s needs and not mess up my one request. Nick was fantastic. He played acoustic guitar before the ceremony and our requested songs during it, he played and sang during the cocktail hour, and became our DJ for the party. He was a great MC when needed and a great DJ all night. We provided specific song requests for key moments and talked with him about what we like. I appreciated that he did a great job of appropriate music selection with very little guidance from us (although I know he would have taken more specifics into account had we provided them). Nick did an incredible job at our wedding! He is a very talented musician and played live acoustic guitar during our ceremony and during our cocktail hour. He was the also the DJ for our reception and even played some live music again during dinner. Nick worked with us to make sure that all the songs he played at the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were to our liking. Nick also did a great job as MC for our grand entrance, first dance, and introducing the wedding toasts.

We would recommend Nick to any couple looking to have a talented musician and DJ for their wedding. Nick can do it all!

Nick was our DJ at our wedding and he was fantastic! He really read the room well. My husband and I are terrible dancers and are first dance was a little awkward. When he saw my husband stepping all over my dress he slowly faded the music out! I was so happy!

Nick was very accommodating to all our requests and the whole process with him was very easy. His music selection was spot on and he kept people on the dance floor all night. Another aded bonus, Nick plays live music as well, so we had live guitar as people walked into the ceremony area and it made for a beautiful event. I highly recommend Nick!

Our wedding was a complete success, and Nick was a big part of it. Everything from planning to the end of the night was super easy with him. We met over facetime once and exchanged a lot of emails, he was very responsive in all communications. On the day of the event I didn't even talk to him until dinner, he had everything under control. He played live guitar for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and we kept getting compliments on his vocal performance. We aren't big dancers ourselves and had a small, casual wedding but the dance floor was never empty, and Nick was not monopolizing the microphone, we did NOT want someone shouting to get people up on the dance floor all night.

Overall we're completely happy and highly recommend Nick Weiss, we weren't sure we could afford live guitar and a DJ and he made it possible.
