I got exactly what I’d hoped for and exactly what we discussed, thanks to her great attention to detail. The flavor was superior and the cake was clearly made with care and top quality ingredients. I noticed the buttercream frosting was not overly sweet, just right! I even had a guest text me days after the wedding, asking for the baker details. Of all the yummy flavor options, I went with a classic vanilla bean cake and we did the top tier as lemon filling. So decadent. If you’re looking for a wedding cake, go no further! Bonnie at New Renaissance was great to work with from start to finish. She combined 2 beautiful cake designs we wanted into one beautiful cake. The flavor was great and she was very thorough when discussing the cake design with us at the tasting.

Bonnie is amazing! Our wedding cake turned out better than anything we could have imagined and it was phenomenal. We ordered more servings than we needed and so happy that we did because it was devoured! Bonnie is very professional and makes the wedding process a "piece of cake." From the cake tasting to final design to delivery, Bonnie took control and handled everything. I never had to worry about a thing!

One thing impressed me very much is during our first trial with Bonnie, she hand draw our ideal wedding cake out based on how we describing it. We don't even know what we want until we see her drawing! I have to say I think her artistic sense combine with over 20 years bakery skills make her very unique in Seattle. We enjoy work with her in the beginning and the feeling keep up until the end, it is all perfect. I asked many guests about the cake and all of them said they love it. without doubt, Bonnie is the one for your wedding cake!

I cannot put into words how much I recommend New Renaissance Cakes! Working with Bonnie was beyond easy and more than I could have hoped for. I hired Bonnie to make a four-tier wedding cake. When planning my wedding I did a ton of research on vendors and went to several wedding shows. My mom and I found Bonnie at the Woodinville wedding show. Let’s just say my mom is super particular about cakes (desserts) and wanted to make sure we selected someone who was amazing. We tried over a dozen different bakeries and I am so thrilled we chose Bonnie. I am an Interior Designer and the design of the cake was very important to me. I had put together several inspiration images to show Bonnie. After meeting to do a tasting and talking with her, I knew her style would totally capture what I was looking for.

Bonnie was so delightful, friendly and easy to work with. She is very talented, knowledgeable and passionate about what she does! She did a detailed sketch of the cake design to make sure that we were on the same page from the start and had a good eye for design. She had a great selection of flavors to select from and I ended up doing a different flavor for each layer. Guests loved both the cake design and the flavors. I got so many compliments! On my wedding day it was such a fun surprise to see how beautiful the cake turned out. It was more than I could have hoped for! The price of the cake was very reasonable. I can’t say enough good things about Bonnie and her amazing work. So glad I had her on my team of vendors!

Bonnie was great to work with! We set up a meeting for a cake tasting, and she left us to chat in private about the flavors, which was awesome. We had a sheet of paper to mark our favorites, and when she came back, she asked us questions about design. I had an idea of what I wanted the cake to look like, but Bonnie had tons of photographs and specific questions to work with. I think if you didn't know what you wanted it would still be great, and help you narrow down what you're looking for. We left with a drawing of what our cake would look like - done right on the spot! We'd tasted cakes with a few different vendors, and both agreed that New Renaissance Cakes was delicious. Another winning factor was that Bonnie suggested that she could make the top layer without chocolate to accommodate my mom's allergy, which was extremely thoughtful (especially because our second flavor didn't include chocolate, but this way my mom could have her pick!) The cake looked and tasted amazing on our wedding day, and I would definitely recommend her :) Oh, and the icing on the cake: on your first anniversary you get a small cake to celebrate - yum, can't wait! Bonnie was fantastic to work with and a great baker! Our cake looked fabulous and tasted delicious! We were able to do our cake tasting and design of our cake (even though we came in with no idea how we wanted our cake to look!) all in one meeting - very efficient! You can tell Bonnie loves what she does and it really shows in the fantastic end product. Definitely highly recommend Bonnie when looking for a cake for any special occasion! :-)

I used Bonnie for my wedding cake at the suggestion of my wedding planner. About the time we had a tasting scheduled... I went to the wedding show with my best friend for her wedding. We tried so many cakes. We tried Bonnie's and loved it. So yummy, and not as sweet as many. PERFECT for me.... THEN I recognized the name as who I was tasting with a few days later. I was so excited. I went classic on my cake with white and chocolate, though ALL her flavors were wonderful. Per another review, I did particularly like her hazelnut and cappuccino also. I had seen a design I liked in a magazine to fit the wedding design. She created it for me. So beautiful and so yummy!!!! Everyone loved it!! I too ate my top the day after my wedding and we finished it after our honeymoon. I plan on contacting Bonnie for a small one for our anniversary in February. Thanks Bonnie!!!

We sampled many types of cakes from many places before deciding on Bonnie to bake our wedding cake. Not only were her cakes the most delicious, they were also affordable! And what an incredible cake it was! We got two flavors – toasted hazelnut and cappuccino, and all of our guests were raving about the cake! Plus, she told us that instead of freezing the top layer to eat a year later, she would bake us a fresh cake on our one year anniversary to enjoy – free of charge! Our cake was beautifully decorated too, and we couldn’t be happier with New Renaissance Cakes!

We are so glad we choose Bonnie to make our wedding cake. Not only was the cake gorgeous, but it was absolutely delicious! There wasn't a crumb left at the end of the night - our guests were practically licking their plates!
