A buttercream 2-tier wedding cake

I cannot thank Bonnie enough for creating our perfect wedding cake. Each step of the process was streamlined and easy to navigate. Bonnie was a fast and thorough communicator. I got exactly what I’d hoped for and exactly what we discussed, thanks to her great attention to detail. The flavor was superior and the cake was clearly made with care and top quality ingredients. I noticed the buttercream frosting was not overly sweet, just right! I even had a guest text me days after the wedding, asking for the baker details. Of all the yummy flavor options, I went with a classic vanilla bean cake and we did the top tier as lemon filling. So decadent. If you’re looking for a wedding cake, go no further! You will get personalized service, a great cake, and at a price better than every other avenue I explored. Thanks!!

Cake of Our Dreams

Bonnie at New Renaissance was great to work with from start to finish. She combined 2 beautiful cake designs we wanted into one beautiful cake. The flavor was great and she was very thorough when discussing the cake design with us at the tasting.

Bonnie is amazing! Our wedding cake turned out better than anything we could have imagined and it was phenomenal. We ordered more servings than we needed and so happy that we did because it was devoured! Bonnie is very professional and makes the wedding process a "piece of cake." From the cake tasting to final design to delivery, Bonnie took control and handled everything. I never had to worry about a thing!

One thing impressed me very much is during our first trial with Bonnie, she hand draw our ideal wedding cake out based on how we describing it. We don't even know what we want until we see her drawing! I have to say I think her artistic sense combine with over 20 years bakery skills make her very unique in Seattle. We enjoy work with her in the beginning and the feeling keep up until the end, it is all perfect. I asked many guests about the cake and all of them said they love it. without doubt, Bonnie is the one for your wedding cake!

I cannot put into words how much I recommend New Renaissance Cakes! Working with Bonnie was beyond easy and more than I could have hoped for. I hired Bonnie to make a four-tier wedding cake. When planning my wedding I did a ton of research on vendors and went to several wedding shows. My mom and I found Bonnie at the Woodinville wedding show. Let’s just say my mom is super particular about cakes (desserts) and wanted to make sure we selected someone who was amazing. We tried over a dozen different bakeries and I am so thrilled we chose Bonnie. I am an Interior Designer and the design of the cake was very important to me. I had put together several inspiration images to show Bonnie. After meeting to do a tasting and talking with her, I knew her style would totally capture what I was looking for.

Bonnie was so delightful, friendly and easy to work with. She is very talented, knowledgeable and passionate about what she does! She did a detailed sketch of the cake design to make sure that we were on the same page from the start and had a good eye for design. She had a great selection of flavors to select from and I ended up doing a different flavor for each layer. Guests loved both the cake design and the flavors. I got so many compliments! On my wedding day it was such a fun surprise to see how beautiful the cake turned out. It was more than I could have hoped for! The price of the cake was very reasonable. I can’t say enough good things about Bonnie and her amazing work. So glad I had her on my team of vendors!

Bonnie was great to work with! We set up a meeting for a cake tasting, and she left us to chat in private about the flavors, which was awesome. We had a sheet of paper to mark our favorites, and when she came back, she asked us questions about design. I had an idea of what I wanted the cake to look like, but Bonnie had tons of photographs and specific questions to work with. I think if you didn't know what you wanted it would still be great, and help you narrow down what you're looking for. We left with a drawing of what our cake would look like - done right on the spot! We'd tasted cakes with a few different vendors, and both agreed that New Renaissance Cakes was delicious. Another winning factor was that Bonnie suggested that she could make the top layer without chocolate to accommodate my mom's allergy, which was extremely thoughtful (especially because our second flavor didn't include chocolate, but this way my mom could have her pick!) The cake looked and tasted amazing on our wedding day, and I would definitely recommend her :) Oh, and the icing on the cake: on your first anniversary you get a small cake to celebrate - yum, can't wait! Bonnie was fantastic to work with and a great baker! Our cake looked fabulous and tasted delicious! We were able to do our cake tasting and design of our cake (even though we came in with no idea how we wanted our cake to look!) all in one meeting - very efficient! You can tell Bonnie loves what she does and it really shows in the fantastic end product. Definitely highly recommend Bonnie when looking for a cake for any special occasion! :-)

I used Bonnie for my wedding cake at the suggestion of my wedding planner. About the time we had a tasting scheduled... I went to the wedding show with my best friend for her wedding. We tried so many cakes. We tried Bonnie's and loved it. So yummy, and not as sweet as many. PERFECT for me.... THEN I recognized the name as who I was tasting with a few days later. I was so excited. I went classic on my cake with white and chocolate, though ALL her flavors were wonderful. Per another review, I did particularly like her hazelnut and cappuccino also. I had seen a design I liked in a magazine to fit the wedding design. She created it for me. So beautiful and so yummy!!!! Everyone loved it!! I too ate my top the day after my wedding and we finished it after our honeymoon. I plan on contacting Bonnie for a small one for our anniversary in February. Thanks Bonnie!!!

We sampled many types of cakes from many places before deciding on Bonnie to bake our wedding cake. Not only were her cakes the most delicious, they were also affordable! And what an incredible cake it was! We got two flavors – toasted hazelnut and cappuccino, and all of our guests were raving about the cake! Plus, she told us that instead of freezing the top layer to eat a year later, she would bake us a fresh cake on our one year anniversary to enjoy – free of charge! Our cake was beautifully decorated too, and we couldn’t be happier with New Renaissance Cakes!

We are so glad we choose Bonnie to make our wedding cake. Not only was the cake gorgeous, but it was absolutely delicious! There wasn't a crumb left at the end of the night - our guests were practically licking their plates! We are so happy to have chosen Bonnie to help design and make our cake. We chose her based on a coworker's recommendation, as a well as through her cake tasting. The look of our cake was fit for a magazine spread in my humble opinion. Our cake was so good everyone was did not refused when offered seconds. The raspberry white satin was my personal favorite, as were many of the guests. The frosting and filling was not too sweet, and everything looked elegant and tasted great.

We loved our wedding cake. It was a tasty work of art. My only regret is that we didn't buy a bigger cake, because our guests loved it soooo much that there was barely any left. (Really, it is the most delicious wedding cake I've ever tasted),

Bonnie is a very sweet person. She is an artist and it shows in her work. We had a wonderful experience working with her, and would highly recommend.

Bonnie at New Renaissance Cakes was a joy to work with, and I'm so glad we chose her to bake our wedding cake! She is a true artist, and the cake turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. Not only did our cake look gorgeous, but many guests complimented on how wonderful it tasted as well. Before choosing Bonnie, we had attended a previous cake tasting with another vendor. The other baker's cakes were denser and heavier, while Bonnie's cakes have a light, delicate crumb. Her buttercream icing is delicious as well--rich but not overly sweet. It's a perfect compliment to the yummy cake and filling flavors she offers. Bonnie was even able to accommodate our need for a gluten-free top layer, which was delicious. Having shopped around quite a bit for wedding cakes, I can say that Bonnie at New Renaissance Cakes offers excellent value for her high quality product and services. I would not hesitate to recommend her!

Omg our cake was Perfect!!!! We came up with our design of a cake with hearts flowing down the front of it because we were married on Valentine's day. She sketched an idea and we said sure. The cake that showed up was ten times better than we could have dreamed. It was perfect and beautiful and was exactly like what I tried to describe only better. The only bad part was people were almost fighting over the Bananas Foster slices. We opted for two flavors; Bananas Foster and Capaccino Mouse. The Mouse was amazing but the Bananas Foster was literally the best thing I've ever eaten. People were negotiating to get slices from people. It was that good. Hire this lady. She is amazing. Seriously.

Bonnie was recommended to me by John from Aria Style and she was exactly as he described. She was pleasant, friendly and a true professional. She listened very carefully as I explained what I wanted and some of the concerns I had heard from other Bakers. She quickly eased my fears and advised me that we could actually do exactly what my Fiance and I wanted. She made recommendations based on her previous experiences and after our discussion, she sketched out my dream cake! I was so excited and couldn't wait to see it. Her flavors were amazing and the cake was light and fluffy. I really wanted our cake table to look beautiful and elegant and she definitely exceeded our expectations. She also worked closely with John from Aria Style regarding the flowers for the cake so that aspect was handled without any bother to me. The cake table was beautiful, the cake itself was elegant and it was absolutely delicious. She was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her. My husband and I are looking forward to the cake she promised to send us on our 1 year anniversary! Thank you Bonnie!

Outstanding! The cake was absolutely perfect. We had a a white wedding cake for one of the layers and almond orange blossom for the other. It was so delicious it was hard not to go back for more! Bonnie was such a pleasure to work with! The cake was delicious, and looked absolutely perfect! I wanted pretty specific details on my cake, and Bonnie went above and beyond to make it look exactly as I wanted. The best part - she'll bake you a small cake of the same flavors you chose for your wedding, 1 year later for your anniversary so you don't have to have yucky frozen cake for your anniversary! I can't wait to have fresh cake 1 year from now! I highly recommend New Renaissance Cakes to anyone getting married!

Our wedding cake from New Renaissance Cakes was amazing. Not only was it very pretty (several guests even asked if it was fake since it looked that good), it was extremely tasty as well. We opted to have a cake that had two layers, each layer with a different flavor. Both flavors turned out great, and our guests were all very happy. The cake was also not cloyingly sweet like so many other cakes are, and the buttercream frosting was very rich and tasty.

We're looking forward to having our anniversary cake a year from now already!

Bonnie from New Renaissance Cakes was an absolute pleasure to work with! She met with my partner and I for a tasting and helped us design our wedding cake. Our wedding cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious!!! It was absolutely stunning, and both flavors we had (chocolate and lemon citron) were sooooo amazing. Bonnie helped us design a beautiful cake that fit the ‘outdoorsy’ nature of our wedding. We loved the way it looked and tasted (we taste-tested three cake shops; New Renaissance was the clear winner). She even made a separate mini chocolate cake for some vegan guests, which was also a hit. Highly recommended.

Our wedding cake tasted and looked amazing! Bonnie was so easy to work with - we met with her and picked our cake pretty early since we live on the east coast and was not going to be in Seattle very much beforehand. We got to taste a few yummy cakes and she worked with us on what the cake would look like, and how big it should be. We were so pleased with how everything turned out, and can't wait to taste the it again on our anniversary! I would recommend New Renaissance Cakes to anyone looking for a wedding cake!

Bonnie from New Renaissance Cakes was great to work with. My step mother met with her to design the cake and taste. Bonnie got the design perfect! Some of my favorite pics from are wedding are of the cake cutting because it so perfectly matched our dresses. But, the best part about the cake was that it was delicious. That was our primary criterion for cake. It had to taste great. And, boy, did Bonnie's citron cake deliver! The guests loved it. And nearly a month later, my mouth still waters thinking about that cake!

Bonnie is a cake expert! Her portfolio is amazing and her work was wonderful! I was so happy with my rosette iced 3 tier ombre color cake with white and raspberry filling! Everyone loved the flavor & I still hear about how good it was. Our photographer & other vendors were raving about it! I knew when I met her that she was an artist! I would highly recommend New Renaissance if you are looking for value and high quality, her delivery price was especially reasonable!!

Bonnie provided a beautifully decorated cake that tasted delicious! She was especially attentive to what we requested in our design and was flexible in creating a small-sized cake that suited our needs. I appreciated how she treated me like a valued customer, even though the overall order was probably smaller than her typical order. She really is a wizard decorator and does beautiful detail and finish work. And her cakes taste even better than they look! The cake was beautiful, delicious and quite economical. Delivery was included and exactly on time! Yay!

BEST CAKES EVER. We tried New Renaissance cakes at several different wedding shows and they were by far the best. Bonnie was so wonderful and patient with us, even though I changed the look of my entire cake a month before the wedding. She is an amazing artist and her ability to sketch exactly what I said I wanted left me confident that my cake would be perfect, which it was. She also does a free small cake for your one year anniversary, so you don't have to save the top of your wedding cake.

I would highly recommend Bonnie of New Renaissance Cakes to design and create your wedding cake. We were married recently and she made a three-tier cake for us with two flavors. The entire process from start to finish was easy and Bonnie was highly professional. Our wedding cake was not only incredibly beautiful but mouth-watering delicious. All of our guests were raving about how delicious the cake was.

What a great experience! Bonnie is so talented! The cake was so fun, my husband and I are big Lego fans so we had a Lego themed wedding cake. It was perfect. And oh so delicious. We had three tiers with three delicious layers, my favorite layer? Belgian Chocolate with smooth butter cream frosting, so good.

New Renaissance Cakes are the best out there! I've had several cakes from them over the years and every one is amazing. Our wedding cake was better than ever. We went with a non-traditional chocolate ganache cake, and the flavors were: Chocolate Orange, Bananas Foster, and Dark Chocolate Raspberry- all were incredible! So many guests asked us where we got our cake from, and I am thrilled to be able to recommend New Renaissance. Bonnie is a dream to work with- I'm a bit of a perfectionist and like cakes to be symmentrical and proportionate, and Bonnie didn't bat an eye. Our wedding cake looked and tasted better than we could have imagined and I will continue to recommend New Renaissance to everyone I know.

Bonnie from New Renaissance Cakes is a delightful individual and is amazingly talented at what she does! We were thrilled to work with her and in awe of her humble attitude given the gorgeous cake goodness she whips up!

I am thrilled that we decided to have our cake done by New Renaissance - Bonnie took extra special care to painstakingly match our cake design to the design on our invitations. The cake looked spectacular and was DELICIOUS!

There are many flavors from which to choose so it was hard to decide. We decided on Bananas Foster and Capuccino Explosion and were elated with our choice.

Bonnie took the time to discuss several different options for our cake. She was flexible and available to meet. Her cake samples were fresh and delicious, not frozen. On the day of our wedding, Bonnie was prompt and the cake looked better than I expected. We also received VERY generous portions. The cake was so delicious and because Bonnie doesn't freeze her cakes, fresh and moist!

Bonnie at New Renaissance Cakes is awesome. The cake was amazingly beautiful and to everyone's surprise, tasted great as well =) I was sad to see her unable to deliver it in person as I wanted to personally thank her, but she was very busy that day. My husband and I are so appreciative that she could contribute such a wonderful piece to our special day.

We were beyond satisfied with her work...would love to do business with again.

Bonnie from New Renaissance cakes is phenomenal. My husband and I showed her a sketch that we designed based on a picture in a magazine, and she recreated it with every detail. She used rolled fondant to create beading, airbrushed parts of our cake silver, and offered suggestions to make the design even better! She was easy to work with, she delivered everything as expected on the big day, and we get a 6 inch cake on our 1 year anniversary! In addition to being stunning visually, the cake was AMAZING! Her flavors were incredible and we still get compliments about our cake.

Several years ago, my mom had cake at a wedding reception done by New Renaissance cakes. She has always remembered it, and when we started planning our wedding, she went ahead and emailed Bonnie to schedule a tasting for us. Being on a budget and just wanting a simple cake, I figured that wedding cake was something that didn't really matter and I could get a simple cake for a decent price at any bakery. After doing a few tastings, and comparing them to Bonnie's, it was an easy decision. This is by far the best cake I have ever had- I am really looking forward to when we get our anniversary cake! Along with just being amazing cake, Bonnie was flexible with our budget and with our flavor requests. We really wanted carrot cake, and although it isn't one of her usual flavors, she gladly created it for us. Our tasting experience with her was very professional and fun, and the day of our wedding the cake was delivered on time, and looking just as we had discussed. She did a wonderful job and we couldn't have been happier with our cake!

Bonnie is amazing! Of course the cakes are beautiful, but the TASTE is absolutely incredible. I don't really like cake and I was wolfing it down. Seriously, we had SO MANY guests talk about the cake, saying they aren't fans of cake normally, but had to know who we worked with so they could do the same. Bonnie was so patient with us, since we wanted an artsy cake, but it turned out so much more elegant and amazing than I could imagine.

The costs are incredibly reasonable for the types of cakes offered in Seattle. You get high quality service, appearance, and taste for a really reasonable and doable amount.

DON'T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE. Just make an appointment here!!!

Bonny at New Renaissance cakes was just fabulous to work with! She had us come for a cake tasting and then was very open to our ideas for a 'cupcake tree'. Her cupcakes are a cut above since she uses a syringe to inject the regular cake filling into the middle of each cupcake; yum! She helped us to cut costs by not delivering and setting up the cupcake tree herself; a friend of ours picked up all the cakes and the stand at her bakery and did the set up, and returned the stand the next day.

Bonnie is a true artist, and makes both stunningly beautiful and delicious cakes for those in and around Seattle. I originally saw her work in Seattle Bride Magazine, and we quickly set up an appointment to meet. She was very professional and to the point. We chose our design and flavor, all for a resonable price. She was conscientious about calling me to iron out details along the way. And on our wedding day, she and the cake showed up right when she said they would, it was beautiful and it tasted like heaven :) (There were guests that had 4 or more pieces, it was that good!) She also was very flexible about cake size, colors, designs etc. The whole experience was great, and I would recommend her to anyone!

The cake that Bonnie created was absolutely stunning, elegant, wonderful and as an icing on the cake, absolutely delicious. I was too overwhelmed on the wedding day to have much time to enjoy the cake but all my friends after told me about how they went for a second slice eventhough they were so full and it was one of the most delicious cakes they ever tasted. When a wedding cake designer I had been in contact with was not being responsive, I decided to call New Renaissance cakes and upon our first meeting (and because our wedding was coming up very soon), we discussed ideas and flavors and Bonnie immediately started to draw the cake I was describing in front of me and the sketch she produced was exactly as I wanted. My husband and I also tried some samples that day and so it was a no-brainer to go with her. The cake turned out even better than I imagined and even to this day I love to look at pictures of my cake. Highly recommended!

Yum, yum, yum...I am so happy I was able to have our wedding cake done by New Renaissance Cakes. Bonnie was open to my design ideas and proceeded to take them to another level entirely. She totally delivered a cake that was beautiful and delicious (even a week later the cake is still fresh and delicious tasting!). The amazing talent Bonnie puts into each cake is awesome, I will be sad when the last of our cake is gone!

This was one of the best cakes I have ever tasted! It was absolutely gorgeous, down to the last detail. Bonnie was always very flexible with us as to when we wanted to meet and she was so helpful when I kept changing my mind. Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous experience working with Bonnie. My husband and I went to our cake tasting undecided but she helped us bring a vision to life. She was prompt and professional as well as warm and kind. I'd highly recommend New Renaissance Cakes for any event!

Bonnie at New Renaissance Cakes did an amazing job matching my beautiful wedding gown lace on the cake. I had a very unique Monique Lhullier lace design and she nailed it perfectly! The cake was magnificent, beautiful, and VERY tasty! She did such a great job that my brother and his wife picked Bonnie to do their cake as well. Their cake was completely different and just as beautiful, yummy, and memorable!
