We can’t recommend Rafe enough! We were lucky enough to find him through our online search. Rafe was responsive, professional, and extremely helpful in the time leading up to the wedding with any questions we had. We had a very thorough Zoom call with him right before the wedding where we went over every detail. We were a bit worried about getting the crowd dancing since we had a small wedding (60 guests), but Rafe did such a great job that everyone was on the dance floor. He followed our requests 100% and played other songs similar to our requests. We (and our guests) had such a great time dancing thanks to Rafe and his amazing playlist throughout the night. He also did a great job introducing speeches and keeping us on track with our schedule throughout the night. We did not want anything cheesy about our wedding (no big introductions, hyping up, etc.) and Rafe completely understood this. We are so happy we chose Rafe as our DJ and we highly recommend him!

Rafe was well organized from start to finish, asking helpful questions I didn't even think of to make sure all small details were covered for the wedding. The overall vibe was a super fun evening full of energy and joy, fueled by well-mixed songs and smooth transitions, without any of the cheesy MC hype stuff that so often sneaks into wedding receptions. DJ Gibbons is amazing! The music was by far the most important part of our wedding and we are so so happy with our DJ choice. Not only did DJ Gibbons keep the dancing going all night long, but we are still getting compliments about how wonderful he was months after our wedding. We really wanted a DJ who could use our "must play songs" list as a guide and fill in the cracks. DJ Gibbons did an outstanding job of understanding the vibe we were going for and also reading the room. Our friends and family truly had the best time at our wedding because of him!

DJ Gibbons (Rafe) is a phenomenal DJ for your wedding!! Hire him immediately!! We highly recommend him to any couple looking for a warm, funny, easy-going DJ who will listen closely to your vision for the day. He was such a pleasure to work with from start to finish - from our initial call through planning and finally with the wedding day itself. He arrived super early to the venue to set up all his equipment, which we appreciated given our venue's odd quirks and layout. We entrusted the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing playlists almost entirely up to him and he nailed everything -- especially during dancing, which was a killer mix of old and new with great transitions between songs and an impeccable sense of timing. My family NEVER dances, and his music was so good it made my entire family get up to dance. One bartender remarked that he'd been to a lot of weddings and Rafe was "the best DJ he's ever heard." During dancing he played one of my favorite songs of all time (which I forgot to request, as it isn't a classic wedding song) and I was so happy to hear it. I have no idea how he knew I needed that song -- truly, he has great instincts and everyone was raving about the music. Amazing DJ, so happy to have worked with him.

DJ Gibbons was the absolute perfect DJ for our wedding. Rafe was extremely thoughtful, meeting with us several times before the wedding to understand our vision, to offer suggestions, and to help us craft an incredible night. He was flexible and professional in terms of where and how he set up in the venue, which included a move from outside for the ceremony to inside for the reception, and even visited the site beforehand, making everything extremely easy on our end.

We were absolutely thrilled that he shared our enthusiasm about house, soul, and dance music. Discussing music with Rafe before the wedding was always enjoyable and he's extremely knowledgeable. The music played at the wedding was very important to us - we wanted to weave classic tracks with contemporary bangers - and we were relieved and excited to give it over to Rafe who we trusted completely to weave together music from different eras and genres, to feel out the mood of the room, to keep everyone dancing, and to craft the ultimate vibe.

We were referred to Rafe by another DJ and we were extremely happy with the recommendation. He was responsive and totally accommodating of our requests. In the few months leading up the wedding he had multiple video chats with us and walked us through the whole process, MC'd just enough throughout the wedding day, most importantly he respected our music preferences (some pop, a lot of funk, and a bit of Talking Heads) and stayed away from our "please god, do-not-play list". Just from our few requests he kept the groove and pace perfectly, paid attention to where the crowd was enjoying the music, and most of all he kept the dance floor packed all night! No matter your musical preferences, he will get as many bodies on the dance floor as possible. He DJ'd for us at Audrey's Farmhouse and had everything perfectly dialed in. He's a popular DJ so don't hesitate! Highly recommended!!!

We truly cannot recommend Rafe highly enough. Working with him was fun, easy, and wonderful from start to finish. He is super warm and personable, which meant it was always a pleasure to chat and also that he really helped set the perfect tone for our reception. He kept things flowing really well throughout the entire night and was able to really keep the energy up while staying genuine and never being cheesy. We really appreciated his collaborative way of working with couples; he is a true pro and can clearly go off as much or as little as you give him. In our case, we gave him a selection of songs for different portions of the evening (based on his very helpful worksheet!), and then he was able to build off of that while always adapting to the energy of the room. Everyone had so much fun dancing, but it also didn't feel cookie cutter. We really felt like it was /our/ wedding. He was also incredibly accommodating; my dad wanted to incorporate some surprise music cues into his speech and was able to work with Rafe beforehand to do that, and Rafe also worked with us so that my grandma could sing a song during the reception. We are so happy that we got the chance to work together - Rafe's love of and skill with music was apparent throughout the entire process. Don't hesitate to book him!

More than 2 months later and everyone is still talking about the amazing music at our wedding. Rafe (DJ Gibbons) was phenomenal. Easy to work with, totally understood our vibe, and most importantly he absolutely crushed it on wedding night. There is nothing worse than terrible transitions between songs, but that is certainly not something you need to worry about with Rafe. He's smooth as can be and never corny or over the top. No one wanted to leave the dance floor. Rafe also made things like toasts, announcements, etc., all super smooth. I really cannot recommend him enough. Amazing DJ for your wedding. Thank you Rafe!

We had a wonderful experience working with Rafe for our wedding (was held at the 1 Hotel in Brooklyn). He DJ'd and acted as MC for the evening and he did a great job. We needed to transition locations between the main cocktail/dinner space to a separate area in the same venue for the afterparty and he was able to work with us for both without issue or extra cost. He was very professional and courteous throughout the whole planning process as well - making sure he understood how we wanted to night to flow and what announcements to share. The music he got spot on, and he made sure to hit a number of our favorites. He was also flexible in scheduling time to connect - showed up / set up well and on time for a truly stress free experience. We really enjoyed working with him and would highly recommend him.

We hired Rafe for our Corporate retreat. In addition to be incredibly professional and responsive, he was able to provide a play list that spanned all the generations in our company. Everyone had a great time, and the dance floor was never empty! He also helped set the flow of the party, by having perfect cocktail hour music that moved into dinner and dancing. People didn't want him to stop! Would definitely hire again!
