WAYNE. IS. THE. BEST. PERIOD. He and his team were so thorough, considerate, organized, professional, creative, and always willing to do whatever it took to make sure our wedding was perfect! We would not hesitate on hiring him again or referring him to our closest relatives/friends for their day. We planned our wedding from out of state, with many Skype calls and emails with Wayne, which he makes himself available for whenever needed and always responds to emails in a very timely manner. Wayne took into great consideration budget, vision, theme, etc. and executed it perfectly! Our wedding day was stress free and went so smoothly, which allowed us and our guests to enjoy the entire event from start to finish. THANK YOU WAYNE!!!

I have had the opportunity to plan 3 weddings with Wayne and each time the experience was terrific and fun! Wayne is consistently calm and reliable. He keeps you on schedule. He is a good listener. He respects your vision and helps create it even better than you can imagine. He is creative and resourceful.

I was against the idea of a wedding planner, figuring it was an unnecessary added cost. I was SO wrong! Wayne was absolutely amazing. I really don't know what we would've done without him. So as to make this review more helpful for others and not just a love note to Wayne, here's a list of reasons why you should you choose him.

1.) He knows the best vendors. There was only one time when I chose a vendor that Wayne didn't already have a relationship with, and she was a disaster. We ended up choosing to lose our $1k deposit and book with someone else. Not only does Wayne know who to recommend, he also has relationships with his vendors where he holds some amount of power. Your vendors aren't allowed to have a bad day, because this won't just impact your one wedding, but all the potential business that Wayne would bring them moving forward. This ensures that everyone is super super super eager to impress.
2.) He gets deals. He knows how to negotiate and what to negotiate on, and again, because he "buys in bulk" so to speak, there are people who owe him favors and he'll advocate on your behalf.
3.) He manages family dynamics. Weddings are full of difficult family situations and somehow, he always handles them with grace. We planned our wedding by consensus, with input from my mom, my husband, and my mother-in-law. My husband and I were always conscious of how we treated our families, but when we slipped, Wayne was there to catch us. There was one time when my Dad started asking about how many salt and pepper shakers we'd have on the table. I was embarrassed that he'd think Wayne wouldn't think of that, and dismissed him, but Wayne recognized that this was the one area where my father felt like he had a say, and responded to my father in a way that made him feel like he was essential in the process.
4.) He has the inside track. Our wedding venue was hit by a mudslide and knocked out for months. The venue kept changing the date that they said they'd reopen, but somehow Wayne triaged between all of his sources and was able to find the actual date of reopen for us.
5.) He has vision. We didn't want a wedding we'd seen before, but with that comes a ton of risk. When you're spending that much money, you want to know that everything will work together. I didn't know if I could trust myself, but I always knew I could trust Wayne. While he was always so open to our ideas, there were times when he just said no, and I was so appreciative. In hindsight, I'd agree that cactuses are too spikey for a wedding.

Wayne became a part of our family, and our only regret was that he had to work the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and brunch instead of being a guest. We forged a true relationship with him, and he'll always be a special part of our wedding story.

It’s been quite difficult to sit down and write this letter to you. I saved the best for last and knew when the time came, this final thank you would conclude our absolutely amazing, wedding planning journey.

We connected with you in September of 2016, met in October, signed our contract with you in December, and every interaction leading up to September 29th, 2017 has been such a joy for us!

Wayne, you and your team are incredibly responsive, so accommodating, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Our wedding rehearsal and wedding day were BEYOND perfect! We observed how the deep, trusting, and respectful relationships you have with Shutters, Casa, and 204 Events was crucial in the execution and timing of it all.

Wayne, thank you for meeting with me in Pacoima so I could finalize each detail of our extensive rental order. Thank you for returning every call and email so promptly (and with much detail). Thank you for driving over the hill for several meetings with our hotel and vendors. Thank you for being so warm and welcoming with our family and accommodating a rehearsal on the sand. Thank you for getting excited with me at 7:00am in the morning of the wedding, as we watched the stage being built on the beach. Thank you for delivering a sample of our tray pass, since we decided to miss our cocktail reception. (That was SO PERFECT, such a surprise, and I was SO hungry LOL) Thank you for being the only one we shared our cake cutting moment with. And thank you for making sure our wedding items were collected and stored back in our bridal suite.

This review is much later than I had planned, but I couldn't let any more time pass by without telling of the fabulous experience we had working with Wayne and his staff. We had the good fortune of having Wayne recommended to us by our wedding venue, Casa Del Mar for our daughter's October 2016 wedding. When I think back on that day, all I think of is the pure happiness and joy of being in the moment without any worries about the day. This was made possible by the careful planning and follow through by Wayne and his team. Wayne was truly the guiding light that helped steer us through the wedding planning which could have been an overwhelming process. He went to many meetings with us and answered countless telephone calls. His vendor suggestions were perfect. We used everyone that he suggested and there wasn't a problem with anyone and they were all wonderful people to work with. He listened and understood what my daughter wanted, made suggestions that went along with her ideas, and the end result was my daughter had the wedding of her dreams.

I just got married a month ago, and Wayne and his team (Karter, Devon) helped me to pull off the wedding I had been dreaming of and had been planning for so long. From the moment we met Wayne, I felt so comfortable with him and his staff. They were professional, very knowledgeable, sweet, and SO helpful! We hired them for the "Day Of" coordination, but they were so much more than that. They helped me to find vendors by providing us with a couple of suggestions when we got stuck, helped try to track down vendors that went MIA,and met with us a couple of times to plan everything down to the tea. As the wedding got closer (and of course the day of), I had a lot of contact with his assistant Devon. She is SO sweet, and really went out of her way to help in any way she could. And then of course, the day of, Wayne and his team were the most important people who could have been there. They helped with every little last detail and helped me to feel less stressed and overwhelmed in any way they could. Wayne was so sweet, and I will never forget the pep talk he gave me as I was getting ready to walk down the aisle. I cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work, dedication, and assistance with everything. I cannot recommend them enough!!

We were so lucky to have Wayne help us with our wedding. I feel like just about everyone came up to me at some point to say how great Wayne was and that they had never seen a wedding go by without any problems. I also was told they had never seen such a calm bride, and that I know had to be because of Wayne. If anything went wrong, I surely had no clue ☺ Wayne and his assistant were wonderful and I wish I could get married again (to my husband!) to be able to work with them again!
Even before the wedding, Wayne was just so great and so available for anything we needed. I still remember sitting on my couch calling all of my wedding venue’s wedding planners and when I spoke with Wayne, I told my fiance that I knew Wayne was the one!
