Mission Beach Women's Club was amazing! We had a wonderful time, the location is great, thank you for everything!

We picked the MBWC for our wedding venue site unseen. Risky? Perhaps. But we were planning our wedding from out of town and knew we wanted to be near the water but on a budget. Choosing the MBWC offered us a very cost effective venue in a beautiful setting. With a park area overlooking Mission Bay right next to their building, it made for one stop shopping, so our guests could just move from the ceremony straight to the reception. Not only does MBWC come with the bonus patio area (which would be big enough to hold a small ceremony if you didn't want to do the extra work to secure the park area), but there are tables and chairs included in the rental and you can use whichever vendors you prefer. You can also bring in your own alcohol. This allowed us to put together our dream wedding, even with a tight budget. Nancy, our contact there, was super sweet and easy to work with. She had helpful tips and when we did get a chance to tour the space, she filled us in on some of the history and activity of the Women's Club. The cottage itself has a relaxed, San Diego vibe to it and had the "beach chic" charm we were looking for. It is not a huge space, but I think you could comfortably do an event with as many as 80 or 90 guests there without an issue. Parking can be a little challenging depending on the time of day/year. There are free lots nearby but due to the proximity to the beach and bay, those spots can fill up quickly. However, it was the perfect venue for us and we enjoyed every moment.
