By concentrating on emotion, movement and laughter, Michelle creates images that emphasize the connection and energy of each couple she works with. Her artistic approach fuses several elements, including an editorial fashion sense, a taste for distinctive colors and textures, a relaxed shooting approach and a strong passion for capturing “real life” moments. With Michelle’s approach to photography, the focus is on the overall experience rather than the traditional process of picture-taking. She encourages everyone to have an amazing time, at times helping to create a perfect setting for capturing images in a natural way and finding ways to enhance and extend the best moments of your day.

Michelle grew up in Massachusetts and fell in love with art at an early age, practicing various forms of art as far back as she can remember, starting with crayons and moving through acrylics and oils to cameras and computers. That artistic experience shapes her approach in creating an image today, combining knowledge of light, tone and composition. Michelle refined her skills studying photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology and going abroad to study fashion photography in London and Prague. After college, Michelle relocated to New York City for work, photographing at Coach and later working at the studios in J.Crew. After helping a friend photograph a couple of weddings, Michelle found she loved photographing weddings and capturing the beauty in the details and emotion of the day. Today Michelle is in Northern CT / Western MA and is one of the few full time photographers in the area, working predominantly on weddings and enviromental portraits.
