Wedding Photography in Connecticut

We had the pleasure of working with Rick and Tiffany! They were so nice, asking us where we would want photos, who we want photos with, and so flexible with us! We were married back in 2018 and we decided to have a big wedding with family and friends ! Our families have never met over the 10 years we have been together. We wanted to have our families meet and they were able to capture the families with us . We loved taking photos with all of our friends and families ! They took us around the Aqua Turf to take photos , they took requests if we wanted them, and they made it fun! We look forward to the photos and showing them to our children , who were able to be a part of our wedding 2.0! We would love to hire Marsal Studios again for a future event ! The photo I uploaded was not from Marsal Studios, since we haven’t received them yet, but it was taking by my mother in law.

From the first phone call, working with Rebekah was such a pleasant experience. We were also so excited that Studio Rivy does both photos and video. We did our engagement photos at the end of last summer, and Rebekah was so patient and kind directing us. We loved the engagement photos, and put many of them on our wedding website, and one photo on our save the date. Planning for the wedding was pretty straight-forward, we stayed in touch about the schedule. I made sure to send clear schedules and information to my vendors, and it really made me happy that Studio Rivy was in fact referring to the print-outs the day of! Rebekah and Asher were our photographers for our wedding day, and Rainer was our videographer; what a wonderful and stealth team!! We didn’t even notice many of the photos being taken!! I keep looking through the photos and can’t stop smiling! They are very skilled photographers; our family and friends have been commenting how good the photos are too. I love the way that Studio Rivy makes the light “glow” in the photos. Even on our day, which was direct and bright sun, the lighting in all the photos is just perfect (and I understand the direct and bright sun is not ideal for photos). There are so many good emotions on your wedding day, and so much sentiment. It meant so much that our photo team was calm and kind. If you are considering working with Rebekah and Studio Rivy, I highly recommend reaching out to this professional and talented team!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. From start to finish, everything was smooth, professional, and stress-free. Dave did a great job reading the room, keeping the energy up on the dance floor, and making sure the night flowed naturally. Our guests had an amazing time, and we received a lot of compliments about the music. We’re so grateful for the role he played in making our wedding day such a great experience and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, talented wedding DJ.

Kim was wonderful to work with. From the moment we met her at our consultation to the wedding day, she was very involved, answered all of our questions, and really included such a light on the day. Our bridal party loved her and her energy and she was great at really telling us what pose she wanted from us. She captured every moment perfectly, would absolutely recommend!

Misha is truly exceptional. From start to finish, he was incredibly professional and clearly an expert at what he does. He made thoughtful recommendations on locations and guided us on how to pose, which made the entire experience feel natural and fun. His ability to blend artistic flair with elegance is unmatched, and it shows in every photo. We felt completely confident in his vision, and the final images exceeded all expectations. Troy and Steff are the absolute best at what they do. The photos obviously speak for themselves. But behind the technical skill-set, they do an incredible job putting you at ease, and their approach translates into their product. In our case, they took a relatively camera-shy couple and brought out the best in us for our wedding photos. It was an absolute joy to have Troy and Steff with us on our wedding day, and their photos are memories that we'll cherish forever.

David’s vision, attention to detail, and how he flowed with our day made all the difference. The portraits and event shots are timeless, and the entire process was far easier and more fun than we imagined

Our dream photographers! We were so excited to work with Cate and her assistant Kieran. We had an absolute blast taking pictures on our wedding day! They made the process feel so natural and easy—all we had to do was show up and be in love and Cate took care of the rest. They were both especially fantastic at always being in the right place at the right time to capture every planned and impromptu moment. They didn’t miss a single part of the day. And all of the photos are STUNNING. We were blessed with a beautiful fall day and Cate and Kieran knew exactly how to use that to make the pictures even more spectacular. We cannot overstate how magical working with Cate was and highly recommend using her for your any of your photography needs. The absolute BEST to work with and the most beautiful pictures you can imagine, guaranteed.

--Pros-- We found Kindred Photography since they are listed as Wickham Park's preferred vendor for photography. Ben is a down-to-earth photographer (he was not bossing our wedding party around) - just went with the flow, and he is very knowledgeable about photography! Ben arrived to the wedding venue early to get set up and ready. Wickham Park is one of the photographer's favorite places - so they know the park well and where to go to get great photos! We appreciated Ben's advice to my husband on how to do a dip kiss for photos after the ceremony and a lift during the first look. Ben gave both of us coaching on how to pose. I communicated with Kim over text message a lot (as they are a husband and wife team). I had a couple of zoom/phone calls with Ben leading up to the wedding day - on 2/28 and 9/16. It took them about 11 weeks to get all the photos back to us. We really enjoyed the sneak peak of 17 photos sent to us 3 days after our wedding. --Cons-- The photographer needed to reschedule the calls the morning of the call or the day before the call twice. But Kim was very responsive via text message so we worked it out. I could have used more advise [before the wedding day] about what to do with my train since I was trying to decide about whether to keep it up or down for the first look the day of the wedding - like 20 minutes before the first look. Ben did not get all the additional formal photo shots we requested (my dad with his siblings, my mom with her siblings). But I'll survive without these photos - someone got a non-professional version. --Summary-- Overall, we recommend Kindred photography. We booked them about 7 months before our wedding (thank goodness they were still available). Kindred photography is modern with their technology - they give you access to an online portal to download your photos after they are ready and edited.
