Troy and Steff are the absolute best at what they do. The photos obviously speak for themselves. But behind the technical skill-set, they do an incredible job putting you at ease, and their approach translates into their product. In our case, they took a relatively camera-shy couple and brought out the best in us for our wedding photos. It was an absolute joy to have Troy and Steff with us on our wedding day, and their photos are memories that we'll cherish forever.

Troy and Steff are amazing people and photographers. We knew from our first phone call that they are who we wanted to work with. We had our engagement photoshoot with Troy and we were instantly impressed. He was very helpful in making two awkward people take some great pictures. We loved his technique of working different movements into the photos so we weren’t so focused on the camera taking our picture. When we received our engagement photos we were over the moon that we decided to work with Devolve Imaging! We loved every photo and were so excited to work with them again on our wedding day.

They were so communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. They brought a calming presence on the day of the wedding. They made sure we got the pictures we wanted, while also using their experience and expertise to deliver us a beautiful wedding album with a wide variety of photos. We received a preview of our photos on our honeymoon and we fell in love with all the photos immediately. It made it hard to wait for the full album. We are obsessed with all of our photos from our wedding and we could not thank them enough for helping capture our special day!

I truly don’t have enough good things to say about Troy and Steff. Devolve Imaging was the first vendor my husband and I booked after we booked Wright’s Mill Farm as our venue. Prior to booking the venue, we stalked Wrights’ Instagram and found ourselves drawn to every photo of Devolve’s posted. When I tell you we signed our contract with Wright’s, went home, and immediately messaged Devolve to book them as soon as we possibly could, I am NOT lying and we couldn’t be more thankful that they were there to capture our best day.

From the very first e-mail, you could tell how responsive they were. They sent us different engagement albums to view and scroll through when we weren’t quite sure what vibe we were going for. Neither of us have ever had professional photos done and we are definitely a bit more reserved and shy when it comes to being in front of a camera. Troy made shooting our engagement photos so fun. We were shocked when we got our engagement album exactly 1 week later (as promised). The photos were so natural and he made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera.

We didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Steff until our wedding day but she was just as easygoing and made us feel just as comfortable. Steff had an eye for all of the details. The flat lays were gorgeous, she fluffed the train of my dress in a way that made it look so elegant in all of the photos, and she captured some amazing behind the scene photos that we’re so grateful for now.

We didn’t have a list of photos that we wanted (which in hindsight, we probably should’ve and it would’ve made everyone’s jobs a lot easier) but Troy and Steff were so accommodating throughout our wedding day. They stopped what they were doing to take unorganized and unplanned full family pictures at the request of our parents. They were there within a split second when I decided I wanted to take pictures on the bar at the last minute. They got the most beautiful shots of our tables even though we messed up their timeline and told them not to take pictures until our napkins were switched. They never pulled us away or interrupted us for a photo but they were there and ready when we needed them.

Waiting for your wedding photos can be stressful and agonizing but we received a sneak peak album of SO many photos less than a week after our wedding and the album told the story of our day so perfectly. They pulled photos from every moment to allow us to relive our day through their photos while waiting for the rest of the album.

I’m rambling because like I said there are so many good things about Troy and Steff. In short, they were professional, responsive, personable, and their photos speak for themselves. The moody editing is such a vibe and their candid and natural documentary style photos have you reminiscing on your day. Our guests were amazed by them and had nothing but good things to say about them as vendors and as photographers and we’ve received so many compliments on our photos. 10000000/10 recommend Devolve Imaging!!

We got married at Stonehurst at Hampton Valley and devolve imaging was one of the reasons we toured it in the first place! We saw their photos and fell in love! Troy and Steff were absolutely amazing! I’m not one to like every photo of myself but they did such an incredible job that I LOVED them all!! They shoot at stonehurst often so they knew the best places to get the best shots and we trusted them 100 percent! We highly recommend them!

Would recommend Troy and Stef to anyone looking for people who truly care about their craft as well as making sure your day gets captured as you wish.

These two were truly so fun and sweet and amazing to work with from day one. I am event planner myself so there’s nothing I love more than people who follow up when they say they are going to and are just extremely organized and these two are great at that. They were so excited about all of my ideas and vibes which was such a nice feeling. We did engagement first with our crazy dog and they were so flexible and SO fun to take photos with we truly just wanted to hang out with them all night.

Now to the actual product - the photos are to DIE for. The coolest candids, they found the best and cutest moments and captured them all, the moodiness was exactly what I was looking for, they made me look and feel like a model, flat lay photos and detail photos were so cool and so special because you hardly pay attention to that stuff on your day, they played with flash in some photos and were just so creative and amazing.

All in all, they brought the BEST vibes to a very rainy wedding day and I truly have never been more in love with photos in my life. I can’t wait to hang them all over my home. Now I just need to think of more reasons to take pictures with them!!

Troy & Steff were INCREDIBLE! They were right on top of everything and made sure to check in with both of us during cocktail hour and the reception. I was overwhelmed during the cocktail hour as we decided to take extended family pictures, and they made sure I wasn't too overwhelmed. Through all of the getting ready pictures, first looks, etc., they were amazing. Troy had shown me a couple on his camera. The getting ready ones can definitely be awkward, which they were at first, but they helped us get into it. They were both attentive and ready to help with anything we needed. Troy even helped me take off my wedding shoes during the reception when he saw I was struggling. All of the wedding party and our families raved about how awesome they were. They were never intrusive and made sure everyone was comfortable. A good portion of our family has told us how incredible they were. The timeline they gave us was very straight forward and easy to follow I would recommend them to everyone, and I hope to see them at my sister's future wedding!

I cannot say enough about how amazing Devolve Photography is! My wedding was 9/8/23 and within 3 days I’d already received the sneak peaks which are STUNNING! They captured so many beautiful and amazing moments for us. Steff and Troy were amazing to work with before, during, and after. They make you feel super comfortable and confident. It’s very clear that they love what they do and are crazy talented!
