Troy and Steff are the absolute best at what they do. The photos obviously speak for themselves. But behind the technical skill-set, they do an incredible job putting you at ease, and their approach translates into their product. In our case, they took a relatively camera-shy couple and brought out the best in us for our wedding photos. Devolve Imaging
Troy and Steff are amazing people and photographers. We knew from our first phone call that they are who we wanted to work with. We had our engagement photoshoot with Troy and we were instantly impressed. He was very helpful in making two awkward people take some great pictures. We loved his technique of working different movements into the photos so we weren’t so focused on the camera taking our picture. When we received our engagement photos we were over the moon that we decided to work with Devolve Imaging! We loved every photo and were so excited to work with them again on our wedding day.
They were so communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. They brought a calming presence on the day of the wedding. They made sure we got the pictures we wanted, while also using their experience and expertise to deliver us a beautiful wedding album with a wide variety of photos. We received a preview of our photos on our honeymoon and we fell in love with all the photos immediately. It made it hard to wait for the full album. We are obsessed with all of our photos from our wedding and we could not thank them enough for helping capture our special day!
They are absolutely amazing to work with and their work is beautiful. You will not regret working with them for your engagement or wedding photos! We highly recommend them!

I truly don’t have enough good things to say about Troy and Steff. Devolve Imaging was the first vendor my husband and I booked after we booked Wright’s Mill Farm as our venue. Prior to booking the venue, we stalked Wrights’ Instagram and found ourselves drawn to every photo of Devolve’s posted. When I tell you we signed our contract with Wright’s, went home, and immediately messaged Devolve to book them as soon as we possibly could, I am NOT lying and we couldn’t be more thankful that they were there to capture our best day.
From the very first e-mail, you could tell how responsive they were. They sent us different engagement albums to view and scroll through when we weren’t quite sure what vibe we were going for. Neither of us have ever had professional photos done and we are definitely a bit more reserved and shy when it comes to being in front of a camera. Troy made shooting our engagement photos so fun. We were shocked when we got our engagement album exactly 1 week later (as promised). The photos were so natural and he made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera.
We didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Steff until our wedding day but she was just as easygoing and made us feel just as comfortable. Steff had an eye for all of the details. The flat lays were gorgeous, she fluffed the train of my dress in a way that made it look so elegant in all of the photos, and she captured some amazing behind the scene photos that we’re so grateful for now.
We didn’t have a list of photos that we wanted (which in hindsight, we probably should’ve and it would’ve made everyone’s jobs a lot easier) but Troy and Steff were so accommodating throughout our wedding day. They stopped what they were doing to take unorganized and unplanned full family pictures at the request of our parents. They were there within a split second when I decided I wanted to take pictures on the bar at the last minute. They got the most beautiful shots of our tables even though we messed up their timeline and told them not to take pictures until our napkins were switched. They never pulled us away or interrupted us for a photo but they were there and ready when we needed them.
Waiting for your wedding photos can be stressful and agonizing but we received a sneak peak album of SO many photos less than a week after our wedding and the album told the story of our day so perfectly. They pulled photos from every moment to allow us to relive our day through their photos while waiting for the rest of the album.
I’m rambling because like I said there are so many good things about Troy and Steff. In short, they were professional, responsive, personable, and their photos speak for themselves. The moody editing is such a vibe and their candid and natural documentary style photos have you reminiscing on your day. Our guests were amazed by them and had nothing but good things to say about them as vendors and as photographers and we’ve received so many compliments on our photos. 10000000/10 recommend Devolve Imaging!!

We got married at Stonehurst at Hampton Valley and devolve imaging was one of the reasons we toured it in the first place! We saw their photos and fell in love! Troy and Steff were absolutely amazing! I’m not one to like every photo of myself but they did such an incredible job that I LOVED them all!! Troy and Steff are the best!
These two were truly so fun and sweet and amazing to work with from day one. I am event planner myself so there’s nothing I love more than people who follow up when they say they are going to and are just extremely organized and these two are great at that. They were so excited about all of my ideas and vibes which was such a nice feeling. We did engagement first with our crazy dog and they were so flexible and SO fun to take photos with we truly just wanted to hang out with them all night.
Now to the actual product - the photos are to DIE for. The coolest candids, they found the best and cutest moments and captured them all, the moodiness was exactly what I was looking for, they made me look and feel like a model, flat lay photos and detail photos were so cool and so special because you hardly pay attention to that stuff on your day, they played with flash in some photos and were just so creative and amazing.
All in all, they brought the BEST vibes to a very rainy wedding day and I truly have never been more in love with photos in my life. I can’t wait to hang them all over my home. Now I just need to think of more reasons to take pictures with them!!Devolve Imaging Photography's reply:

Troy & Steff were INCREDIBLE! They were right on top of everything and made sure to check in with both of us during cocktail hour and the reception. I was overwhelmed during the cocktail hour as we decided to take extended family pictures, and they made sure I wasn't too overwhelmed. Through all of the getting ready pictures, first looks, etc., they were amazing. Troy had shown me a couple on his camera. The getting ready ones can definitely be awkward, which they were at first, but they helped us get into it. They were both attentive and ready to help with anything we needed. Troy even helped me take off my wedding shoes during the reception when he saw I was struggling. All of the wedding party and our families raved about how awesome they were. They were never intrusive and made sure everyone was comfortable. A good portion of our family has told us how incredible they were. The timeline they gave us was very straight forward and easy to follow I would recommend them to everyone, and I hope to see them at my sister's future wedding!Devolve Imaging Photography's reply:

Best of the best!
We couldn’t be happier with the results from Troy and Steff! We absolutely loved working with them, they’re so professional, and so fun, they made taking pictures so easy! They know Wrights Mill Farm like the back of their hand and because of that knew all the hidden gem spots and places we needed to get. These two are the best in the business and you will be so happy when you pick them. They went above and beyond to make our engagement photos work due to our work schedule and constantly needing to reschedule (sorry guys haha)
Seriously though we’re so grateful we found these guys and seriously felt like we made new friends throughout this process!

Devolve, is one of a kind.
Troy and Steff did both of our engagement photos and our wedding photos. Every moment with them was magical. Their attention to detail was outstanding. They made sure were happy every moment of our wedding day and really made sure to get every and all shots. They made everything so natural and comfortable for everyone in our family. It was almost as if you were part of us. We just received out sneak peaks and were are in LOVE. 70 sneak peaks?! We were in AWE.
The Devolve team will will always hold a special place in our heart. We look forward to many more years of family photos and memories together.

Troy & Steff were a godsend! Our original photographer became unavailable for our wedding so we were scrambling to find someone who fit the kind of style we wanted for our pics and was available. Luckily we found Devolve (and I really mean luckily because they book up quick) and we couldn't have been happier! Our pictures came out AMAZING! Troy & Steff really know what they are doing. They made us feel comfortable and glamorous (which was important because we are sometimes awkward and not photogenic at all, they told us how to pose and made sure we looked as amazing how we felt). The best decision we made!
Troy and Steff were everything we didn’t know we needed in our photographers. They made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, made the process completely seamless and gave us the most beautiful photos. Their focus on candid, real photos truly showed the happiness of our day. After out engagement shoot I knew we made a great decision in hiring them but they absolutely blew us away with our wedding photos. High Quality, Vintage, Candid Style Photography
I cannot recommend them enough!! Troy and Steph are nothing short of amazing!! They are highly professional, fun, and CREATIVE! Their photos have a high quality, vintage, candid style that draws you in right away. They were the photographers at my cousins wedding and we loved their work so much, we remembered their name and booked them for our wedding 3 years later! I cannot recommend them enough. If you love fun, candid style photos and are awkward in front of a camera then these are your people. Absolutely amazing. Not only were the photos great, but working with The Devolve’s was an absolute pleasure. Beautiful photos from a great husband/wife duo!
We found Troy and Steff through a facebook post of another wedding. We were immediately attracted to their style and found everything that they captured stunning. We were in touch shortly after and scheduled our engagement photos in Aug 2019 and wedding for June 2020... and then the pandemic hit and all of our plans were up in the air. What we knew is that we would be married in June 2020, we just had no idea what it would look like. Troy and Steff were so accommodating and rolled with it. Because everything was downsized, they were very flexible in the package , timing, travel and everything in between. Our micro wedding was a complete success and we couldn't be happier with the love and intimacy that was captured so beautifully in our photos. Awesome photographers, STUNNING photos!!
Troy and Stef were our wedding photographers for our intimate wedding, and they were an absolute dream to work with!! We love their style of photography, and their ability to capture those precious, candid moments. Once we had our initial call with Troy, we knew we had found our photographers. Troy was responsive and efficient throughout the process, and in light of the pandemic, was super flexible and understanding. My husband and I are not “picture people”, and normally dread the thought of taking photos, especially looking at ourselves in photos. But when we met Troy and Stef on the day of the wedding, they were so professional yet down-to-earth, making us and our family/friends feel comfortable throughout the entire day. On top of having fun, they were attentive and ensured to capture all of those special moments. When we received our photos, my husband and I were shocked…we both had to rub our eyes to confirm that the people in the photos were really us!! All the photos are stunning! It was the first time we actually had a hard time choosing which ones we wanted for our album.
I’ve looked at these photos with my husband, family, and friends so many times since we’ve received them, but every time I look at them, it brings me back to the day of the wedding. I’m flooded with so many blissful emotions. Each photo brings me back to a specific, precious moment during the day, and brings so many feels! At the end of our wedding, all we have are these photos. Even 50 years from now, we will look at these photos and reminisce about our magical, beautiful wedding!! And THIS is what makes Troy and Stef truly special and talented at their craft. Hands down the best decision we made and we absolutely recommend them!!

Troy and Steffanie are amazing photographers, and they were fun and easy to work with. They were highly recommended by our vendor (Foster Country Club), and we were not disappointed. They put up with our shenanigans (to which there were many), and they were extremely well organized yet casual. We fell in love with their style of photography (had elements of the traditional, but with a lot of contrasting colors and candidness), and we were not disappointed. We met with Troy in-person about 10 months before the wedding (book them early), and we met Steffanie on the day of. They were so friendly and reassuring, and they weren't pushy or intrusive. We will have memories to last a lifetime (and perhaps some blackmail photographs of certain family members to be brought out at get togethers...). We had Troy and Steffanie do both our engagement and wedding photos, and we could not be happier!! The pictures are absolutely stunning in color and in black and white. Looking through the photos together truly felt like we were able to relive the day.
We are so pleased with everything they did for us. They were incredible communicators, answering big and small questions quickly via email. Even the packaging of the USB drive was thoughtful and personalized.

Amazing in every way!!
Troy & Steff are absolutely fabulous! We did an engagement shoot with devolveimagingphotography and it by far exceeded every expectation. Being a little nervous for the first time ever doing a photoshoot, Troy and Steff were accommodating and just down to earth people. They were so easy to work with, efficient and professional. Being a coordinator in this industry and working with many people in the business, it was a no brainier for me the day I met Troy and Steff professionally that I would want them to photograph my wedding one day. Well that was years ago, fast forward to just this weekend and my now husband and I are crying just over sneak peak photos. We could not have asked for a more detail oriented, professional, calming, amazing husband and wife team to execute one of the biggest days of our lives. The photos were single handedly the most important aspect of our day and Troy and Steff met BEYOND our expectations, even though we already knew what they were capable of. We can not recommend Devolve Imaging enough to photograph your big day, or any photography session in general. Choosing Devolve Imaging to photograph our wedding was the best decision we made! When we received our pictures, we were truly blown away by how beautiful they came out! Troy and Steff are seriously amazing. They were so easy to work with- professional, punctual and fun! They captured all of the little details of our day and also really captured "us" as a couple. You can really feel the love from the day when you look at our pictures. Troy and Steff were so accommodating and made sure that they photographed all of the important people in our lives. So awesome, professional and the nicest people you will ever meet! Worth every.single.penny. Our biggest problem is choosing which ones to display since they've supplied us with hundreds of wall worthy, top notch photos that our a million times more beautiful than what we ever could have imagined!

Mike Sent on 08/10/2018So I am the groom. Not sure how many of them are writing reviews on here but I was tasked with this job so you get a guys perspective, though my wife and I are in complete agreement on this
We could not be more pleased with Troy and Steffanie!!!! They were AMAZING. We had a lot of options for photographers at various price points but after seeing their work, we knew that this would be more than worth it. They are more than just people who can take nice pictures. Their work is so stylish, creative and unique. Our pictures came out fantastic. We got them in a very good time period in a personalized box with wooden flash drive. We received tons of photos each in color and black/white.
The thing that I appreciated the most was how comfortable I was around them. I felt like Troy was one of the guys as he took pictures of me and my groomsmen getting ready in the hotel. He was laid back and laughed along with us during some of our more interesting moments. Steff was just as easy going and friendly. My wife was equally impressed. They could have blended right in with any of our quests.
Troy navigated the often difficult waters of satisfying all the family members while still focusing on our wishes. When we went to a local park to take our pictures after the ceremony, he and Steff had us take tons of pictures in various different poses and actions. "Let's try this, now let's try this." We had so many different beautiful pictures to choose from, we definitely got our money's worth. The other cool thing is that with both of them shooting, they could bounce different ideas off each other. Troy would take a picture and then Steff may suggest a different way of taking it, and we ended up just getting the best of both worlds between the two of them. Many of these pictures will be hanging on our walls for the rest of our lives.

Vaneesa Sent on 07/10/2018My favorite part of our wedding was the pictures. Haha! I’m only half joking! Troy and Steffanie were FANTASTIC. Not only do they produce the most beautiful, artistic pictures, but they are so fun to work with! Taking picture after picture throughout the day can become tedious, but they knew how to get us to laugh so we had genuine smiles in every single picture. They came to the hotel where the bridal party got ready and captured each moment of excitement and anticipation. Throughout the day, they followed us from activity to activity, without having us feel like they were intruding. The end result was a collection of creative and heartfelt moments. One relative commented that the photos didn’t just show *what* was happening but *how* people were feeling.
We love Troy’s photos because they are not like the “cookie cutter” wedding photographers. Troy and Steff are so talented and their pictures are so artistic and unique; every one looked like it was out of a magazine. I am beyond pleased that we found them. After the wedding the only thing you have left (besides your marriage, haha!) is the pictures! And It’s so fun to relive the wedding over and over again with all the beautiful memories that Troy and Steffanie put into a leather-bound photo album to enjoy forever!

We read their reviews and they could not have been more spot on. From the first moment we even inquired about photography through them it was a dream. Troy & Steffanie were extremely quick to answer any and all questions we had and made sure to get a full vision of what we wanted for our wedding. If you’re looking for photographers who will really capture the “moment”, these are the right photographers for you. You can not even tell you have photographers at your wedding! It seemed as if we just had another extension of our family there. Once we got our pictures back it was evident the care with which they took our pictures. Breath taking. You will not be making a mistake if you book with Devolve!

Michelle Sent on 11/07/2017We can't say enough good things about Devolve Imaging Photography! We found them online and from what we could see of just a few photos that we loved his style. From the moment we sat down and talked with Troy we knew right away that he was the perfect photographer for us. Their images are absolutely beautiful! They kept in great contact with us during the wedding planning and after the wedding. Troy came over the week before the wedding, we went over everything and we knew he was going to capture the images we were hoping for. He did that and way more!! Troy and Steffanie were so fun to work with and they made us feel super comfortable! We asked Troy to do some crazy stuff for us , like climb into a loft etc and he was willing to do whatever and was all about our adventurous ideas. He was just as excited as we were that day. We were really able to enjoy our wedding and didn't have to worry about a thing. After the wedding day was over, within a few days they posted a beautiful blog about us and our wedding day along with some breathtaking photos! We couldn't wait to see all the rest of the photos after that! We didn't have to wait very long at all and Troy met with us to give us all of our final photos. He brought over a beautiful engraved wooden box with our engraved flash drive . There were SO many photos and they were all perfect! They captured our day perfectly from start to finish. We would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a talented fun photographer that will definitely take the most amazing photos on the best day of your life! We can't thank Troy and Steffanie enough for making our day a truly memorable one! :)

Their work is so classy and so beautiful they were my dream photographer. After pricing them against other area photographers my dream turned out to also be the best value. After Meeting Troy and Steffanie to do our engagement photos I knew we had made the best decision. They make you feel so comfortable and we had a ton of fun throughout the whole process. Our photos are amazing and they ooze our personalities. We so appreciate the work they did for us and the incredible quality of everything we have received.
