Easiest and Best Wedding Planning Decision!

I have been thinking about how to write a review that perfectly describes Alicia and Meraki Portrait for the past week because it is hard to put into words how passionate Alicia is about her work and I wanted to make sure I did it justice. From the time you have a discovery call to scheduling your wedding photo reveal, Alicia is all in about helping you make your wedding experience an amazing one. She was our biggest cheerleader through planning, she sends weekly newsletters with tips only a pro could give you and checks in on you on social media often! Most importantly, she lets you be you and celebrates it. One thing that drew us to Alicia is when you look at all of her couple’s photos you can truly see a part of their personality and the story of what makes them unique. She did the same for us, making us feel comfortable and giving us prompts that just helped elevate our true selves. Our family and friends loved having Alicia and Christal (her second photographer for our day) capture our day - they felt like an extension of our celebration. With all that said, we highly recommend Meraki Portrait!

Best photographer!

Alicia is amazing and you will love her! As someone who doesn’t always feel comfortable in front of the camera, she made us feel like rockstars. Her photos are beautiful and creative, and she prioritizes the unique personalities of her couples. Our wedding fell victim to COVID restrictions and through it all Alicia was so supportive and flexible. Book her! You’ll be so happy you did.

Hire her! She is so worth it!

I looked at what felt like, hundreds of photographers websites. Everyone felt the same. Yet, no one really made me feel like I needed to reach out to them. Until I came across, Meraki Portrait. I felt like she was someone who was real and that I could be friends with. Then I met her. And she was exactly that! I hired her on the spot. I couldn't imagine anyone else being there. Our day came. It was a little chaotic. She rolled with the punches with a smile. Then we got our photos ... and wow! I was crying because I couldn't believe how beautiful I looked! Girls, I have wicked acne on my back. You couldn't even tell. And it didn't look super photoshopped either. My mom really liked her too. My family had fun with her during the reception and keeps talking about her. Hire her! You won't regret it.

A true artist behind the camera!

I cannot begin to explain how thankful I am that Alicia came into my life. She has a way of making you feel like you are instantly her best friend. She is a wizard behind the camera, she also has a way of making you feel so beautiful and comfortable. I put my full trust in her and I never looked back. You will not be disappointed with what she has to offer!

Wow! The best!

I am a girl who LOVES an experience! Let. Me. Tell. You. Alicia gave us an experience we will forever remember. The first time I spoke to her on the phone I knew we were going to become besties. She’s so easy going, FUN, and makes you feel SO special and cared about. The day of the wedding I felt like I had a friend following us around taking pictures and not a stranger. I love Alicia’s romantic intimate style to her photos and felt like she Captured how fun and beautiful our wedding was! She is so attentive and responds right away to any questions you have which as a bride is SO important. Our guests even fell inlove with her! I can not recommend Alicia enough and I am now thinking of ways I can use her talents again!

Meraki Portrait was a no brainer

When looking for wedding photographers, Meraki Portrait was a no-brainer. From our very first communications with them they were so welcoming! Fast forward to our wedding day and we had so much fun with Alicia! She fit right in with our wedding party as if we had known her for years and made everyone feel comfortable. Our sneak peek photo took my breath away and truly captured "us." When we were able to view all of our photos we were blown away. She captured every moment and then some. Since our wedding I have had so many friends and family ask me who our photographer was and what an amazing job they did. Meraki Portrait thank you a million times over for capturing our day in such a spectacular way!

From start to finish Alicia will take care of you! She gives advice, responds super fast, and keeps things fun! She made sure the entire engagment session was lighthearted and fun - never rushing us, and letting us get "warmed up." Her attention to detail and quick turnaround time set her apart from other photographers. She puts her whole heart into her work and it shows! LOVE!

We can’t recommend Alicia enough!! From family photos, a classy boudior shoot, and the wedding she delivered natural beautiful photos that were classy and just absolutely phenomenal! She captured all the little moments in every photo that when we look at them we remember everything that was going on in that exact moment. She was so encouraging and supportive with the boudior shoot, I’m a curvier girl and she knocked it right out of the park! She was amazing during the wedding and so creative with everything!! She even turns into my mini therapist through the wedding planning process, checked in weekly, sometimes daily, and even all but held my hand all the way up to me walking down the aisle. She is professional but friendly, personable and knows her stuff! We can’t thank her enough for capturing all the beautiful moments over the past year and look forward to her capturing more moving forward!

Alicia was an amazing addition to our wedding day! Throughout the whole lead-up she was really communicative, friendly, and accommodating - reaching out multiple times to check in, give advice, or answer questions. She photographed our elopement and we had a wonderful time. She's really easy to work with - making you feel really comfortable and the whole process feel natural. We absolutely LOVE the photos we've seen so far and are very excited to see the rest. We highly recommend Alicia!! She was a joy to work with and we couldn't be happier with the photos so far.

I cannot recommend Alicia enough! We met her for the first time at our engagement session, and we were immediately comfortable "hanging out" with her, chatting, etc., which made the session feel super relaxed and easy! She had great ideas for posing, and gently coached us to create beautiful images. She also got us to talk about ourselves, each other, and made us laugh! In preparation for the wedding, she thought of everything, helped me create a timeline for the day, made sure to know in advance the specifics of what we wanted, who should pose for portraits, etc. She was a great photographer, AND a calm, fun, competent energy to have on the wedding "team". Our parents and wedding party all commented on how great she was as we were reflecting back on the event. The final product was outstanding- we got so many stunning photos of our wedding, both posed and candids. I look forward to working with her again to capture important life events <3
