Mastiff Sausage Company absolutely nailed it at our wedding!! One of the most important things in our wedding vision was food. Our life day to day revolves around food, family, and love - so we were extremely focused on making sure this aspect was perfect.
Our wedding was held at Building 177 in Liberty Station, San Diego November 9th, 2019. Mastiff provided incredible service, attention to detail, and of course an unforgettable spread of epic food. After speaking with so many vendors and not finding one with the right quality and options of food, with a budget that we could work with- we finally came across Mastiff!
They were extremely quick to respond to our inquiry with several options of large catering menus with additional options for cocktail hour appetizers and desserts and even late night snacks! The food sounded incredible and so much like our style and taste! We immediately scheduled a meeting with Jacob for a tasting and to discuss options in more detail at their North Park location.
Wow!! We were absolutely blown away by the quality and flavor of the food. The passion behind their craft is truly evident!
Throughout the planning process they were so helpful and helped us customize the perfect menu to ensure that all 150 of our guests would be truly satisfied. People still talk about it to this day and visit their Liberty Station and North Park locations frequently!
For cocktail hour we chose the arancini, citrus shrimp, cheese and fruit spread, and seasonal empanadas! Right off the bat -So impressive! It was to be a long day and evening so we wanted to make sure our guests were well fed - and Mastiff absolutely came through. They also provided our BYOB bar service flawlessly, making sure every guests was happy.
For dinner, we chose a buffet style with their famous Tri-tip, citrus chicken, mushroom risotto, and a fresh salad. Sooo much flavor!! Sometimes in large banquets flavor and quality can get lost, but this was NOT the case with Mastiff! The servers were also so accommodating (especially to my husband and I- they made sure we always had champagne and a full plate during the busy day.)
To make sure the party could continue - we had late night bites. It was so cool to see the Mastiff food truck pull up on the patio and dish out these goodies. Servers even came inside to pass around Chicken and Waffle Sliders and TJ dogs. Seriously everybody lost it when those came out ! In the best way !
Mastiff touched upon every detail we could have imagined ! Beyond the food, they provided the plates, silverware, and linens - in addition to the BYOB bar service. We are eternally grateful for the epic food and service! Truly made our wedding memorable! I'm even more happy we can enjoy their food whenever we want in our hometown!!! Thanks Mastiff!!!

Jacob and the whole team at Mastiff were amazing! I was told before we got married that the most important aspects of a wedding are food and booze. Mastiff did not disappoint. From the appetizers that were flowing through cocktail hour to the sausage toppings station- we were more than satisfied! Guests are still raving to us about the appetizers which included Mastiff fries, homemade spicy meatballs, pickled veggies, and shrimp cups... It was delicious. For dinner guests had a choice of bratwurst, old fashioned frankfurter or a cognac mushroom chicken sausage. At the toppings bar, Mastiff offered bacon crumbles, blue cheese, sour kraut, and their homemade spicy hot sauce or coarse mustard. The groom and I both finished our plates! They were willing to work with the event space restrictions and were very responsive to emails and phone calls. Their truck is the cleanest/ most professional one I have seen and the staff is prepared and friendly. I am so happy with our experience. I hope to have another event to use them again!!

Jacob and team at Mastiff Sausage Company recently did our wedding at Luce Loft downtown and we could not have been happier. Jacob was prompt, professional and responsive in all our communication with him prior to the wedding and really went the extra mile to give us a tailor made menu that met all our wishes. On the actual day they arrived early and made our coordinator's life easy as they had everything ready to go, no hiccups. As for the most important part, the food, it was OUTSTANDING! Numerous guests commented on how much they enjoyed all the food. The harissa aioli potatoes as a passed appetizer were a particular hit. Also the truck looked amazing as always, great photos were taken. The team cleaned everything up unobtrusively throughout the night and discretely made an exit so that the party could transition and dancing could begin. Could not have done it without these guys and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to cater an event.

We wholeheartedly recommend Mastiff Sausage Company for any of your catering needs. We used them for our rehearsal dinner when we got married in September and all our guests loved them. Their food and customer service were top notch. We tried a few different food trucks before choosing one for our rehearsal dinner and decided on them because besides their food being amazing, Jacob was very attentive and willing to make our menu how we liked it. Jacob and his team made sure that the rehearsal dinner went smoothly. We definitely recommend Mastiff Sausage Company for any event!

Mastiff Sausage Company came highly recommended to us from friend and family. We were looking for a fun, unique way to cater our second marriage wedding reception [yes, I'm older than the average bride : ) ]. From the first phone call to Jacob I knew our search had ended. He was courteous, professional and offered lots of helpful ideas concerning all matters of the event. They were prompt the day of the reception and presented a beautiful display of several delicious appetizers [Go Mastiff Fries]. The main course was absolutely wonderful and was served quickly and efficiently.

Wanting to create a unique and memorable wedding reception my husband and I decided to look into food trucks online. I visited sdfoodtrucks.com and submitted a request for the date we had chosen. I told a bit about us as a couple and how we adore great food and beer and we wanted our party to reflect these things. I got countless responses from potential vendors, each one a standard response email with my name pasted at the top. That is, until Mastiff.

Jacob sent us a personalized message that made us stop and take notice. He seemed excited to partner with us and he and Eric wanted to create a customized menu for our event! This was all very exciting but of course the most important thing was that we adore the food that we would be serving our guests. We made a plan to visit them at one of their brewery stops and sure enough, it was love at first bite! We were immediately convinced that this was the truck for us. We incorporated Mastiff classics like their Bratwurst, Pulled Ham and Mastiff Fries with incredible customized appetizers and sides that reflected our fall wedding and personal tastes.

From the initial contact, through the planning and at the final event Mastiff was incredibly professional, accessible and punctual. They took initiative to view our venue and meet with our day- of wedding coordinator. They were available to answer any questions I had along the way and we had an open conversation going throughout the wedding planning process. I knew going into my wedding that I could depend on Mastiff to make our night memorable and count on things running smoothly. Guests could not stop praising the food during the reception and I continue to get positive feedback now! If you are looking to grab a delicious bite you can count on Mastiff. If you want a wonderful venue for an event, reception etc. we wholeheartedly give them four thumbs up!

I contacted several food trucks about my upcoming wedding and Mastiff was not only the most responsive, has great tasting food, but they had the ability to single-handedly create the vibe I was hoping to get out of multiple vendors.

They created a complex varied custom menu of small plates that were passed around to my guests throughout the event... They also provided the wait staff and bartenders for my event, and let me tell you those guys were awesome, and they saved us as things were running a little behind the day of...

I talked to may guests and they loved the food and were totally stuffed!!!

Find this truck and give it a try... Their normal menu is awesome, but they easily created a more sophisticated offering that was just as good!!!

P.S. Try the fries they are a must!
