We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Mary’s Hope on Church Cove, Michelle, and the incredible owners. We wanted a wedding that felt personal, thoughtful, and completely our own, and Mary’s Hope allowed us to bring that vision to life in a way we genuinely don’t think would have been possible anywhere else in Maryland.

Mary’s Hope is a blank slate in the most gorgeous cove. We had the loveliest outdoor ceremony overlooking the water, followed by a reception beneath a sailcloth tent on the lawn. As evening fell, we were treated to the most incredible sunset over the water. It was breathtaking. One of our favorite surprises was the crape myrtle still in bloom for our August 29 wedding. It became one of the most beautiful features of our bar and garden and an incredible backdrop for photos.

What made our experience truly extraordinary, though, was Michelle and the care she showed us and our families.

Michelle and the owners allowed us to rent Mary’s Hope for the entire week leading up to our wedding, which was invaluable. We DIYed so much of our wedding, including our flowers, and having that extra time to create, prepare, and set up allowed us to execute our vision without feeling rushed. We are so grateful they trusted us with the property and gave us the flexibility to make it our own.

When we arrived, Michelle had left us a handwritten note welcoming us to our wedding week. It was such a thoughtful gesture and perfectly captures the kind of person she is.

Then there was the great wedding-ring crisis! During our rehearsal, our little ring bearer somehow lost our rings on the property. By the time we realized, everyone had left, and our families searched for hours with no luck. Michelle CAME BACK to the venue just to help us, and after hours of us searching, she found them within five minutes! We will tell that story for the rest of our lives.

That was Michelle throughout our entire experience. Whenever we worried, she reassured us it was going to be perfect, and she was always right. She was firmly in our corner from beginning to end and essentially became a personal concierge to our family during wedding week. Her taste and judgment are impeccable, but just as importantly, her demeanor is exactly what you want surrounding you during such an important week: calm, capable, thoughtful, and reassuring.

We came to trust Michelle implicitly. We had a very specific vision, and rather than fitting us into a predetermined mold, she understood what we were trying to create and went above and beyond to make it possible. I genuinely would not have trusted our wedding in anyone else’s hands.

By the end of the week, Mary’s Hope felt like our home and Michelle like a dear friend.

Our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be: intimate, romantic, creative, joyful, and completely personal to us. Looking back at our ceremony on the water, the sailcloth tent, the flowers we created, the crape myrtle, and that unbelievable sunset, we still can’t believe we got married somewhere so beautiful. Our friends and family have been raving ever since.

We are beyond grateful to Michelle and the entire Mary’s Hope family for giving us the space, time, flexibility, encouragement, and support to create a wedding that felt completely like us. For the wedding we envisioned, we truly believe Mary’s Hope was the only venue in Maryland where we could have pulled it off.

We now consider Michelle a dear friend, and one of the sweetest parts of the wedding being over is knowing it doesn't have to be goodbye. We cannot wait to return to Mary’s Hope for special occasions and visit a place that will forever mean so much to our family.

Michelle, thank you for being in our corner and giving us the wedding of our dreams. We will treasure our time at Mary’s Hope forever.

This venue was amazing! I worked with Michelle who was awesome and answered all of my questions without hesitation. She was detailed and the wedding went seemingly. She created the schedule of events based on what we wanted and kept everything on time. I highly recommend this venue and the setting makes for gorgeous photos!

I wish I could give this venue a 6/5 stars!! Our day went amazing thanks to Michelle and her awesome staff! Our pictures turned out beautiful, the house is so cute, and our guests could not stop commenting on how much they loved the venue. Michelle was a savior prior to the wedding, providing us with so much advice, taking care of contacting the vendors, etc. I could not recommend this venue enough!!! It is AMAZING!!!

Mary’s Hope on Church Cove was one of the first venues I had ever seen, my fiancé and I saw this place and fell in love with it. This place was everything we could have dreamed of. Our experience with Michelle and everyone there was amazing!

Absolutely beautiful place. Michelle was so wonderful, willing to work with us on everything. If we ever had a question, we were able to call or text her and she had an answer immediately for us.

Where do I even start?! From the beginning of searching for this venue to our big wedding day, we have felt the least stressed with Mary's Hope.
Michelle and Suzi were so helpful, organized, and treated us like family. We had many vendors for our wedding that needed to show up for set up day and they made sure everything was where it needed to be. We loved that we were able to set up the majority of our decor the day before and whatever was left I was comfortable leaving it in their hands to get together the day of.
The venue itself is a gorgeous setting on the water. There are so many photo opportunities and our guests fell in love the moment they set foot on the property.

I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day. They handled everything and added some creative touches that made my day even more beautiful, perfect, and special than I could have ever expected.

Mary's Hope is such a beautiful location for a wedding. The staff there goes out of their way, and makes you feel like family. They help your day run smoothly since they take on a coordinator role. I have nothing but good things to say about them.

Erin was the best! She was extremely accommodating and responsive, and very flexible. She was very willing to assist with anything I asked and helped my wedding day go smoothly. The venue was exactly what I was looking for and the property is spectacular!
