We had a 120 person wedding that could not have gone better. They had multiple sites to have your ceremony, we chose Lindsay Beach on their property. You can have the wedding on the public beach, but we opted for something more private. Ceremony went perfect, even though the bride was about 30 mins late. They then allowed us to purchase tickets to their Luau for all our guests (at the Kama'aina rate as well since we live here!). It proved to be a fantastic deal and much better than a normal "chicken or beef" type of wedding dinner. Tons of local food selections, open bar, and entertainment. There are public people there, but our tables were grouped together so we barely even noticed. We then had our own private reception in the naupaka ballroom. They let that go until midnight and I have a pretty rowdy group of friends. They were very accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process.

It may be a little more pricey, but it was a nice getaway for our mainland family and friends and all of our Hilo people. Kama'aina deals are very reasonable, and the restaurant has deals on various days as well. Pool is killer and there are turtles all over their beach. If you have long term guests there are nice condo's surrounding the area that might work better for families or groups.

The location was beautiful, but without my coordinator, they would have driven me nuts. In the end, everything turned out fine, but so glad I didn't rely on their coordinator and went with my own.
