Our wedding was a herculean task. We chose to get married on our rural family farm, over an hour away from civilization, dirt one-lane roads, sporadic electricity, and a bridge that threatened to crumble at any minute. In addition, as a couple, our opposites-attract, introvert meets extrovert, personalities caused us to envision and want vastly different kinds of celebrations. In so many ways, the lack of local resources and our divergent priorities for the wedding, made us a considerable challenge for any planner… but not Jamie. She not only made our wedding a reality, she allowed for our wedding to become everything we had dreamed.

I truly believe that Jamie executed a wedding that would have been impossible for any other professional. And I believe that she was capable because has the most unexpected and unlikely pairing of logistical excellence and empathy. I’ve never met anyone who has an incredible talent for executive functioning, communication, and designing plans while still maintaining a deep appreciation and intuition for human emotion, imagination, and artistry. She toiled to find us the right staff, support, systems, resources and solutions because she understood that our unique vision for our wedding, would become a shared experience that could tell the narrative of who we were, not as individuals, but as a united couple.

Jamie recognized that our goals and the process of how everything came to be, was in some ways, the first steps into the start of our marriage. That the days and months talking, scheduling, debating, and imagining how to celebrate our wedding, is just as much a part of the wedding as the wedding day. And above all, Jamie appreciated that every detail was imbued with meaning, symbolism, loss, acceptance, memories, family, hope, celebration and promise.

Jamie is a hustler and a professional, in the best interpretations of each of those words. She helped us turn our fuzzy, vague handwaves about "vibe" and "feel" of our ideal wedding, and turned it into the most incredible (wedding-themed) 2-day, 3-night party we've ever thrown. Whatever roadblocks get thrown into your way, she plows through and *makes it happen*.

Any wedding planner working during Covid has to roll with the punches, but Jamie humored us through a few different revisions to the criteria for venue selection, a couple curveballs once we finally found a place we liked (in the middle of nowhere, with no dishwasher on site!), and so many, many harebrained ideas that she helped us filter out or make real.

I still remember her walking us through her "storyboard" for our wedding, a many-paged slide deck reflecting back to us everything she'd heard from us over our months working together, turned into photo collages and inspiration boards and phrases that were incredibly evocative (and, ultimately, so true to what was delivered

Jamie and her team are patient, accommodating, brilliant, thoughtful, and their taste is impeccable. I am not an easy person to please, and while I may have driven Jamie a liiiitttttle crazy early on ("I don't like this venue because the grass is itchy" WHO SAYS THAT? me. sorry.) she was there the whole way to make sure we got to create the experience we wanted. The wedding was perfect.

What I think is perhaps the most magical is that I think Jamie knows how to take who you are, what you like, what you like to do, etc. and turn it into an experience that is very you. Maybe we got lucky and Jamie is just a lot like us, or maybe she just knows what we wanted. I think she puts a lot of effort into "getting in your shoes" so to speak so she can create an experience for *you* that matches *your* tastes and that, coupled with an incredible aesthetic sense and vision, is where she really shines as a professional (which is not to downplay her logistics, planning, and execution skills!!!).

Jamie of Mango Muse Events helped me to plan the wedding of my dreams in just 4 months! I am so glad that I hired Jamie to be my wedding planner. I had a vision for my wedding that was kind of hard to articulate but she was able to listen to my thoughts, describe them more coherently and help me to bring it to life. She was extremely organized, responsive, and had a ton of insight into how to avoid pitfalls and be prepared for anything. I was definitely thrown curveballs throughout the planning process, but she either handled them so that I would be none the wiser or she supported me as I worked to navigate them. Hearing her say “let me know how else I can help” was probably the most comforting thing while I was doing a sprint to the finish line. From the beginning of the planning process she helped me stay organized and created a timeline for me. She did all the research and leg work looking into vendor options and cost differences and then presented them to me so ultimately I could make the decisions that best fit me and my fiance. She kept an open communication line throughout the whole process and we shared many phone calls, emails and texts that she always promptly answered. I will even miss our phone calls and emails as by the end she truly becomes more than just a planner but a friend!

We found Mango Muse through a friend, and Jamie planned our wedding in Mariposa, CA, in the fall of 2019. We got married at the AutoCamp “glampground,” which wasn’t even built when we booked it. That meant it was the first wedding on the site, and absolutely everything had to be organized and set into motion—tables and chairs, drinks, music, signs, guest arrivals, and every other little thing that you would never think about had to happen.

In our opinion, this is where Jamie really shines. She’s a master of organization (Google docs for days, communications customized to how we operate best), and put an extremely comprehensive schedule for us to follow in the seven months months leading up to the wedding. She was friendly and patient, even in the face of our indecision, and kept the motor running on all of the planning when we were distracted, busy with other things, or just needed a break from making decisions.

Our wedding was in a fairly remote location, and Jamie and her team sourced all of our vendors—no easy feat—and managed communications with them all the way through. I can’t count the number of times a vendor told us how impressed they were with Jamie and how easy she made their jobs through her clear instructions and coordination. It felt good to know she was representing us well and making sure everyone involved was on the same page. Any time we hit a bump in the road, Jamie was supportive, willing, and able to tackle the issues and tough conversations head-on so we didn’t have to stress. We were able to rest easy being able to trust the Mango Muse team with everything so comprehensively.

By the time our wedding weekend arrived, literally everything was checked off our own to-do lists so that we could be present with our friends. My husband and I and our families truly had nothing to worry about except to have fun, take it all in, and celebrate. Jamie’s team certainly had a lot on their plates for the weekend but were calm, composed, and operated with such confidence that we couldn’t help but feel the same.

If you have a major mountain to climb in planning your event and you need a lot of logistical horsepower, then you need Jamie on your team. We would have been in way over our heads without the help of the Mango Muse team. The fact that she got us through the whole process was great; that she did it in such good graces and with such poise was truly impressive.

Planning a Caribbean destination wedding for 100 from San Francisco sounds tricky but not with Jamie leading the charge. We worked with Jamie for the extent of our engagement (2 years) and successfully created our island wedding pipe dream. She was an absolute dream to work with. Super easy-going while being the perfect amount of type A. She was easy to communicate with, with weekly check-ins and monthly phone calls. Our wedding week feels like a dream, it was that good. Thank you Jamie for helping us throw such an epic party.

Jamie didn't just help us plan our wedding - she helped us create memories of our special day that will last a lifetime. A year after our wedding, our parents, family and friends are still talking about what a beautiful event Jamie helped us pull off and how the wedding was so fitting of our personalities. Jamie is 100% the reason everyone is still reminiscing. She is a visionary in the wedding planning world. She takes the time to listen and brings creative ideas that represent what you want your wedding day to be but could never have thought of yourself. For example, we had a relatively small wedding of 60 people and Jamie suggested that we write personalized notes to each guest for them to read as they sat down for the wedding dinner. We would never have thought of that and my parents, to this day, read the note my husband wrote to each of them each night. This is the kind of joy and magic only Jamie can create - she brought joy to my husband and I on how marvelous everything turned out (and how much FUN we had getting married) but also joy in seeing the joining of two families and the creation of the joint memory of our wedding day.

I am admittedly a tough critic but can honestly say nothing but positive things about Jamie. She has vision, attention to detail, diligence, takes pride in everything she does and brings creative touches to the big day. If you're teetering about whether to have a wedding planner for your destination wedding, trust me, just give Jamie a call. She'll make you feel at ease immediately and by hiring her, you'll be able to enjoy your special day free of stress and with the comfort it will be a day you, your spouse and your friends and family will reminisce about for years to come.

During our initial call, she helped us figure out what level of support would suit us best and was open to hearing the specific areas of guidance (event design, vendor coordination, budget management, etc.) that we felt we needed most.

She pushed us to reflect on what was most important to us and helped us keep that overarching vision in mind throughout the many decisions we made over the course of a year. In what could easily be an overwhelming process, she helped us prioritize our to-do lists and track both long-term and short-term milestones.

We definitely dragged our feet on making some decisions but she never pressured us. When we had our own thoughts but wanted to get her take, she was very straightforward and practical--if you take this route then just keep in mind X,Y,Z, if you choose this then you will also have to do that. But when we felt more lost, she was able to give us clear recommendations.

In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Jamie was in touch with us frequently, and always responded quickly to my (many) last minute questions. It felt like every detail was arranged, every contingency had been thought of, and all we had to do was show up.

On our wedding day, we were able to really be in the moment, enjoy ourselves, and not worry about anything because we completely trusted in Jamie and all the careful preparation we had done together in the months before. It was invaluable to be really present during the day and focus on each other and our loved ones.

I know everyone says you shouldn’t expect your wedding day to be perfect – but with Jamie, it actually was! With Jamie's help, we never felt overwhelmed about our wedding. She meticulously planned our schedule, not just for the day, but for planning itself. With each step, we felt confident knowing that we were making the right decisions at the right time. She also works with an INCREDIBLE team of vendors, which made decision-making even easier. And she didn’t just provide people she loved – she took the time to figure out who WE would love, and which vendors would match our taste, vision, and budget. That’s not to say she pressured us to go with her vendors; we just loved everyone she recommended. And once we hired our vendors, she worked with them tirelessly, both in reviewing contracts to make we got what we needed, and also in making sure they knew what we wanted and understood our vision.

Jamie totally understood what we wanted for our wedding and made it all a reality. She worked hard to make sure our big day was exactly what WE wanted. Never once did she push her ideas of what a perfect wedding should be, and that’s what we loved most about Jamie: she wants your day to be perfect for YOU. She’s not about forcing you to follow some “wedding rules." She’s all about trying to understand what you want and what will make you happy, and making those things happen. She will be more than just your wedding planner, she will be the champion of making your wedding perfect for you.

And on top of all that amazingness, it also helps that Jamie is just an awesome person to be around! She's easy to talk to, she’s honest and upfront , and she is always available to talk to about any concerns you might have. Working with Jamie will make you feel confident and at ease in every step of your wedding, both in planning and on the day itself. I cannot say enough how instrumental she was in planning the most important day of my life – and I cannot recommend her enough!
