The Mims House was the perfect venue for our wedding! The space is absolutely beautiful and was just the right size and atmosphere for our intimate celebration. The staff was wonderful to work with and assisted with food service as well. The bartender was especially friendly and attentive throughout the night. We couldn’t have asked for a more charming backdrop for such an important day and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a stunning venue.

My husband and I were married here at the end of September. We could have not asked for a better place to have our wedding. The venue was absolutely gorgeous, and Brooke and Lauren were amazing. They were so accommodating with all of our questions and requests, and did a great job of incorporating all of our ideas in the venue space and helping us stay within budget. Most importantly, they did a wonderful job making sure the day went smoothly. My husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our day. Brooke and Lauren even made sure we got some time to ourselves to eat together and enjoy our first few moments as husband and wife. All of the vendors that Mad Dash partners with were very professional and made sure we had a fantastic time. Katie, our photographer, did a great job capturing all the special moments and the DJ Alex made sure all of our guests had a great time on the dance floor. The decorations and bouquets were gorgeous. We also got a ton of compliments on our cake. Our guests said it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. This venue is a great, budget-friendly option for any couple looking to have a special wedding day. They made our wedding day perfect and stress-free. Absolutely recommend the Leslie-Alford-Mims House and Mad Dash Weddings.

Highly recommend! The venue, the staff, the food, the drinks, everything was absolutely perfect. Brooke is wonderful to work with and planned the most beautiful wedding I could ever imagine. Her attention to detail is beyond amazing and pulled off some serious magic. We are so happy with how our day turned out and truly cannot recommend Mad Dash Weddings and the Leslie-Alford Mims House enough!

This venue was magical from start to finish

Brooke and her team thought of every single detail and executed them beautifully! The flowers were amazing. The table settings couldn’t have been any better. She even moved furniture around so that it matched the color scheme! She suggested a cake bar because the groom wanted a lot of cake lol. Guests absolutely loved it! It was displayed beautifully and they all tasted incredible. The photographer and DJ were very professional. Best of all, I as the MOB didn’t have to see to any of the details. They took care of EVERYTHING! Absolutely the best experience and I highly recommend not only The Leslie-Alford-Mims House but definitely use the Mad Dash Wedding services! It’s worth every penny!

I always thought the wedding planning process was supposed to be stressful. When I first got engaged, I honestly dreaded the planning. Thinking of all the ideas, colors, dress, and venue was overwhelming. When my husband and I found Brooke and Priscilla, we knew they were the perfect choice. We had a pop-up wedding with less than 15 guests to keep it intimate. Brooke and Priscilla were so kind, knowledgeable, and supportive with the whole process. From the first email till the last, they made sure we knew exactly what was going on and how everything would run smoothly. I am so thankful that we found MadDash Weddings. It was the best option for us. The ceremony, our officiant, the food, the kind staff, and the cake, were perfect. I truly can say we can look back on our wedding and not regret the decision of choosing Brooke and Priscilla to plan our wedding. They are a dynamic duo that love what they do. Their work most definitely shows for it. I cannot stop bragging on them since they made this a stress free process! I can honestly say that they deserve a 100/10. We were beyond impressed!

Incredible! I was a stress free bride and everyone raved about the beautiful venue, decor and the delicious cake!! We wanted a small, affordable experience and we were blown away!

Let me start out this 5 star review by being completely honest here for a moment: I have never wanted a wedding. When my fiance and I got engaged I pleaded with him for a courthouse ceremony with 2 witnesses at the Santa Barbara city courthouse. My fiance wanted the wedding so we compromised on a small, intimate ceremony…cue Maddash entering the conversation.

Let me also be vulnerable and say I am one of the most neurotic people I’ve ever met (and I’m a clinical psychologist with a PhD in clinical psychology!) so it is a particular challenge for me to give up control and trust someone else…especially with such an important day as a wedding. However, I finally let go and trusted the MadDash process and have been thanking myself a million times over for doing so.

Ok here’s the deal: if you go with MadDash your wedding will be even better than you could have even dreamed possible. You might have an idea of what “perfect” looks like in your head but Brooke and Priscilla will do such an amazing job that you realize whatever your mental image of “perfect” was before was actually just “mediocre”. They will truly show you how perfect it can be. You will be on cloud 9, showered with love, unable to form words at how incredible the decor/planning/execution will be.

Brooke feels like a big sister looking out for you and having your back while simultaneously wanting the absolute best for you. She is engaging, genuine, kind, loving, empathetic and simply “gets it”...but also at the same time she is somehow efficient, competent, intelligent, sharp witted and a quick thinker. She is the IDEAL wedding planner and could not have found a profession more suitable for her skills. She is the type of person you wish could be your best friend and you feel proud of her even though you may not know her very well yet. Wow, her children are SO lucky to have her as their mom (I can’t even imagine how good those birthday parties and family trips must be!!). Saying MadDash goes “above and beyond” feels like a watered down version of the reality of the situation. They literally and figuratively make your dreams come true. You can tell they surround themselves with good people and likely good people are attracted to working with them because of who they are at their core. In your most vulnerable, intimate, life altering moments (about to walk down the aisle, about to do the first look etc.) you want someone like Brooke by your side. One of the most meaningful moments of the entire day was when I looked over at Brooke before the “first look” and told her I was nervous and worried I might cry-to which she responded “Stop or you might make me cry”. I could have been dreaming this up but it looked like her eyes might have been a bit misty when she said that. If after doing this for so many years and she STILL feels emotion with her brides…that right there is the sign you’ve got the right planner. Not only the right planner but THE planner. What more could you ever want?

I’m going to end this review now-not because I want to or have even fully captured how incredible MadDash is-but because I’m starting to feel creepy with how obsessive/enamored this is sounding.

TLDR; just book MadDash for your wedding and I guarantee it will be one of the wisest decisions you and your future spouse can make in your life.

Mad Dash was our saving grace to plan our wedding! We were getting ready to move our wedding for the 3rd time due to COVID and decided even though we had moved our "big wedding" we still wanted to be married this year. That's when we found Mad Dash - Brooke and Priscilla took the reins and created a PERFECT intimate ceremony in just a few months. I brag to everyone that it was the most stress free and wonderful experience. On the day of the wedding, I showed up with my friends and family completely at ease that they had created an event styled better than I could have ever dreamed. We are so thankful for all they did for us, we could not have asked for better service!

This was such a beautiful venue! Ian was extremely helpful and responsive. All the staff made sure we had everything we needed and the wedding was perfect.
