Hidden in plain sight, the Byron Barn is a lovely special events venue in Plainsboro, New Jersey that boasts vintage charm ready for couples to make it their own for their wedding day. The barn is one of the town's oldest structures and includes both indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy your special event. Founders Tom and Corinne Sekinger welcome people with their hearts and have created an atmosphere of warmth that sets their guests at ease.

Facilities and Capacity

With multiple indoor spaces, there are great ways to manage the flow of your guests. The Kitchen is an unexpected treasure. Love the look of an English pub? Located in the lower level, the Kitchen has the original foundation for walls, accented by original beams. It's 1000square feet with charming usable space as well as being functional. It’s easy to use as the home base for a buffet, as a bar with seating, or even as a kids creative space. The Lounge is elegant, quirky, and inviting with plenty of useful spaces for drinks, canapes and conversation. The Great Room is our largest space and is kept simple and "naked" to be decorated by you and show off your style. In the daytime, warm natural light fills the air and when the sun goes down, the room twinkles warmly. The grand old beams boast decades of stories and yours can be one of those. The Withdrawing Rooms are tucked away in the lower level, and ready for you and your bridal party to dress, have your first toasts together, and enjoy special moments before the main event.

Services Offered

The Byron Barn is seasonally decorated by Corinne Sekinger, the venue’s creative director. In warmer months, you'll find fresh flowers from the garden gracing unexpected corners. When the cold hits, the barn warms up with evergreen cuttings from outdoors and twinkling lights. Corinne and Thomas Sekinger are seasoned event hosts and can serve as your Day-Of Coordinator so that your special day moves with grace and ease. If you's rather end your evening quietly, Detailed Clean-Up, Decoration Removal and Florals Removal can be arranged with the Byron staff.

Location and Accomodation

The Byron Barn is only minutes away from Princeton Junction train station, Rt. 1 and the NJ Turnpike making it an easy access point for guests coming in from out of town. Plainsboro also has a wide range of hotels to suit the needs of your wedding party and guests. The Byron parking lot serves 50 veheclies, including handicapped parking plus an extra 20 car flat, grassy lot by the back driveway.
