About
Koop Diamond Cutters, Inc. began its business venture in 1966, founded by Clarence “Whitey” Koop. Whitey started the business solely cutting diamonds until his son Butch began adding his artistic flair creating Custom Koop jewelry pieces on an individual basis. Expanding their venture, Butch started the Cincinnati Casting Company in 1974 as a separate entity, further pushing the manufacturing side of the business. Those relationships that were established through Cincinnati Casting serve as the solid foundation of the family owned business today. Both the cutting and manufacturing sides of the business were successfully operated under one roof for several years before the decision was made to incorporate the businesses together. Through the years a third generation has expanded Koop Diamond Cutters, Inc. in to a full manufacturing plant and retailing center for fine jewelry needs of any design capacity.
Yesteryears journeys have developed the passion seen today through Koop Custom jewelry pieces created by Butch and sons Justin and Elliott Koop. It is an evolution that starts with a creative conceptual meeting, and leads to the jewelry art design process involving sketches and computer-aided technologies of the design, analysis and manufacture of the jewelry (CAD/CAM). Koop Diamond Cutters, Inc. continues to evolve its business by embracing the powers of this CAD/CAM technology. The Matrix software allows Koop to replicate, change and design new 3D jewelry on screen while generating a detailed color preview image that can be printed or emailed to the customer. Matrix outputs all file types generating dimensionally accurate wax models, which finally unveil a precise piece of jewelry through casting, setting and polishing. The result is an exclusive piece of Koop Custom jewelry.
