I cannot say enough good things about my experiences with Kimberly James Bridal. From start to finish, the whole experience was *perfect*. The staff is friendly, smart and obviously love what they do. There is absolutely no pressure put on you to make a decision or a purchase or use their additional services. The try on areas are spacious but also feel private. It was clear that my happiness and me feeling my absolute best on the big day was their priority (not business). Their seamstress is PHENOMENAL and also did a special project of turning my grandmother's gown into heirlooms to be cherished.
When you go in to try on dresses (free appointments), you have a dedicated stylist and are welcomed to bring friends and family with you. My mom had to attend on Facetime and they helped her to feel a part of it as well. The stylist has you start looking through their impressive options and pulling anything that you think you might want to try. After we pulled somewhere between 15-20 dresses, she took me to the dressing room and walked me through the options that I'd pulled. She asked me to choose which one I wanted to try first. I loved it! But it wasn't perfect. With each dress, we talked about what I liked and what didn't feel quite right. They guided me through looking at different angles, even having me walk with a fake bouquet. As I was in my 3rd dress, I saw the stylist out of the corner of my eye go to a rack pull out a dress. She showed it to me in the dressing room, I tried it, and it was THE ONE. It was *exactly* what I had envisioned in a dream the night before my appointment. I loved this experience of feeling heard and trusting that their expertise guided me. A perfect combination of knowing that YOU know what you like and THEY have decades of experience in this industry.

I had a separate appointment to choose my veil and jewelry (again, no pressure but beautiful options and guidance).

Alessandra, their seamstress, is not only the sweetest person, but also does beautiful work. She is attentive to the bride and to detail. A KJB stylist is with her for appointments as well, making me feel completely taken care of. The same stylist was with me through the entire alteration process - a nice, consistent, thorough touch.

I wouldn't change a single thing about my experience with KJB.

Kim is super responsive and sweet. Her store is beautiful and clean and high end. She had lots of options and I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for there! Definitely recommend them in the Philly area, a lot of the stores I tried felt like they don’t hear you in what you’re looking for and try to push you into certain dresses or styles, but I had the opposite experience here. They were also very accommodating when I had questions afterward!

A wonderful small wedding dress boutique in Philadelphia. Kim is knowledgeable, easy to chat with, and she really cares about her brides. I had great private dress shopping experience – me & my "entourage" thought this was the best of a few shops we visited! Even after the dress shopping, Kim was helpful in giving shoe recommendations and answering questions about seamstresses in the area. You won’t find as wide of a selection as the big “box” stores, but you will find a beautiful, curated selection for all different styles.

I couldn't have been more pleased with my overall experience. My consultant Jess was so nice. She immediately just understood my style and made me feel so comfortable. I found an amazing dress that day and it arrived quickly. Then when I found out I was pregnant after I already had my dress, working with Kim to order extra fabric and discuss options was a breeze. She was always so responsive via email. I would highly recommend Kimberly James Bridal!!

Kimberly James Bridal was the first stop on my dress hunt and it was the perfect first experience. Kim made me feel so at ease with what could have been a very stressful situation. I felt like she really understood what I wanted even when I didn't. I tried on a few dresses and wound up buying the second dress I tried on. It was perfect. I was able to get the dress of my dreams and I didn't have to empty my bank account. Also, Kim never made me feel pressured into buying anything. Another thing that was nice was, my friends were allowed to take pictures. Which to me was important because I know some other bridal salons won't let you do that. From trying on my dress, to picking it up, I felt seen and heard by Kim. Kim and her team's priorities are you and your happiness, and you will undoubtably feel that when you're there. I certainly did.

Shopping at Kimberly James was a one-of-a-kind experience. Prior to coming to this shop, I had been to at least 5 others and never felt comfortable about finding my dress. I was honestly starting to lose hope. I randomly decided to book an appointment at Kimberly James (during my lunch break, and I was alone) and as soon as I walked in I immediately knew I would find my dress. Juliana did a great job at making me feel comfortable and she did not rush me at all as I tried on several dresses. She is the one that actually picked the dress I chose, and I absolutely loved it. I loved it here so much I actually came back for an accessories appointment and purchased my hairpiece and veil from this shop. The pricing was surprisingly reasonable, and you can tell Kimberly really takes time to hand pick the pieces in her shop. Also, the owner was super responsive, we exchanged a few emails regarding the veil I wanted and to set up pickup for my dress. She always got back to me quickly and was so kind. I would recommend this place time and time again.

Kimberly James was the best decision I made while wedding planning. Kim offers a one on one experience for all her brides. She is completely knowledgeable in her field, has a great inventory of dress styles to try on, and offers great advice throughout the whole process. She focuses on making connections, not just sales. I not only ordered my wedding dress from Kim, but also my jewelry, rehearsal outfit, and fur wraps for myself and bridal party. The quality and cost are unbeatable. I am so grateful to have had chosen Kimberly James!

Kimberly James Bridal was the second bridal shop that I went to, and it was the last! The shop is a beautiful show room in the adorable neighborhood of Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. As a bride who was dreading dress shopping, Kimberly made this experience so comfortable, pressure-free and special. All appointments are private, which is perfect for brides who need a little extra time and attention. Kimberly allows you to pull your own dresses for try on, and combines this with her expertise of style. She was in no way pushy or overbearing, as some shop owners can be. All of the dresses were reasonably priced, and she carries many accessories in her shop as well. The dress I chose was absolutely perfect for our venue and made me feel like a real princess. I would recommend Kimberly James Bridal to any bride looking for a personal and professional bridal gown shopping experience! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This bridal boutique is just amazing. It is a small local Chestnut Hill business that opened recently and I hope it stays forever. I love that she sees one bride at a time. This makes it very intimate and personal. Kim is warm, friendly, welcoming, and super helpful. When you go into her boutique she immediately becomes your cheerleader. She will put you in dresses that look good on you. She has such a great eye! She goes out of her way to find the right dress for you. Her knowledge and expertise extends to alterations as well and she sets you up with a great seamstress. She is so responsive. Kim made me feel so special while looking for my wedding dress. I only have good things to say about this business. Please check her out. You won't be disappointed.

Kimberly James Bridal was my very first stop when going shopping for my wedding dress. I was immediately impressed the moment I stepped foot in the shop. First, I love that the shop is exclusive to you and your guests during your appointment -- I felt so special knowing that I was the only bride shopping during my time slot. The personal welcome sign on the door was a sweet added touch.

Rachel was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout the appointment. She encouraged me to try on all different styles of dresses, and she really helped me figure out what worked best for my body. She was sweet and friendly, making great conversation the whole time we tried on dresses. I later went back for a second visit where Kim helped me try on one of my favorite dresses from my first visit. It was such a pleasure to work with her, as well!

Although I ended up purchasing a dress elsewhere, I cannot say enough positive things about Rachel, Kim and the Kimberly James Bridal experience. I hope to re-visit the shop soon to pick up some other items for my shower/wedding as I hope to be able to support this wonderful business.
