Kaitlin is amazing to work with. As a photographer who has done weddings myself, I had high standards and specific requests that weeded out a lot of people during my search. Kaitlin immediately stood out to me as someone with the ability to capture the essence of a couple. As I browsed her galleries I felt like I knew the couples and their stories by the time I was done. My wife and I are very introverted, shy, and not used to being the center of attention — let alone in front of a camera. After consulting with Kaitlin it was even more clear that she was the perfect photographer for us. Kaitlin listened to our requests, asked us questions to get a better understanding of what sort of coverage we’d like, and checked in multiple times leading up to the wedding day to go over plans.

On the day of, Kaitlin was incredible. She set her flash units up perfectly to give a beautiful sense of lighting to our indoor pictures. Kaitlin was quick and professional with our family formals without feeling like she was rushing anyone. We love our newlywed portraits, largely due to how natural it felt to work with her—again this was huge for us as two people who are a bit camera shy. Our reception photos are equally beautiful, she captured meaningful candid moments without feeling like she was standing between us and the moments happening around us.

If you’re like my wife and me and aren’t used to being on camera, I would 100% recommend booking a practice session with Kaitlin either for engagement photos or couples’ photos. As a photographer I’m used to being behind the camera and not in front of it. She helped us feel comfortable and it also helped her see how we interact together as a couple.

At no point did we feel like Kaitlin was commandeering our schedule to check off boxes on a shot-list. She was seamlessly integrated everything. Genuinely, I cannot recommend Kaitlin enough. Working with her is like having a best friend there take your wedding photos.

My husband and I hired Kaitlin to photograph our elopement in Maine in October of 2023. We were coming from Ohio and did not quite have the details laid out yet. She was incredibly flexible and extremely helpful during our wedding day and found some amazing spots for some truly amazing pictures. Our wedding day just really would not have been the same without her.

We booked with Kaitlin after looking for a photographer that felt like our style and vibe for our destination wedding, after a phone call with her it was total love! We met for our engagement photos and it felt like we were hanging with a friend vs feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera. She has this energy about her to make everyone feel comfortable! She really tried to get to know members of the family and that helped on the wedding weekend. She is extremely organized and easy to communicate with and that came in handy when the week of our wedding we had to move our Saturday wedding up a day due to a forecasted hurricane. My partner and I didn’t know what to expect when we met Kaitlin for our engagement shoot, as we’ve never gotten professional photos done before. Within minutes of hanging out with Kaitlin, she had us feeling not only comfortable but truly lost in the moments she set up for us. It was intimate and fun, and Kaitlin encouraged all of it! The photos she captured were absolutely stunning. They all captured such natural moments between the two of us! We can’t wait to have her at our wedding not only as our photographer, but as someone who is now part of this love story along with our other family and friends!

Kaitlin went above and beyond our expectations from the first moment we messaged her! We met with her over zoom to discuss what kind of wedding we were interested in and to gauge each others' personalities and we clicked instantly! She has been incredibly receptive to our ideas and responsive throughout the whole process as we near our wedding date and even spent an entire day running around Portland with my fiancé and I for our engagement shoot. My fiance and I loved our engagement photo shoot with Kaitlin. We told her we were looking for a "date night" vibe and she guided us in picking locations around Portland that fit our vision. She organized several location options for us and helped us achieve exactly what we were looking for. Kaitlin helped us feel at ease in front of the camera and guided us through a mix of posed and candid shots. We were a little nervous going in, but it ended up being a lot of fun.

Kaitlin was wonderful! I know absolutely nothing about photographers, so I did what any smart groom would do…left it all to my wife. Unsurprisingly, she made a great choice. Kaitlin’s upbeat personality and infectious energy were a perfect fit. She was organized and efficient during the ceremony, and somehow captured hundreds of amazing photos at the reception with me barely even noticing she was there. It was a torrential downpour for our entire wedding day, and Kaitlin graciously offered (at no extra cost) to meet two days later to capture all of the outdoor locations in sunshine. I was an overtired, grumpy newlywed on this day and once again Kaitlin’s patience and professionalism were on display. We received our finished photos recently and love them!
