Joy is organized, professional, talented - she is truly amazing! Not only was she so easy to work with leading up to our wedding, but she also was very patient with our large bridal party the day of. She was able to quickly and efficiently manage the group which was not the easiest task. Joy had previews to us very quickly (a lot quicker than many of my friends' wedding photographers) and has a quick turnaround time for the full gallery. She also has a great social media presence. Overall, there is nothing negative to say about Joy because she is wonderful!

From our first conversation, Joy was so helpful and knowledgeable with beginning the wedding process. She was the first vendor we booked! Her communication is flawless, and in the stressful weeks leading up to the wedding, Joy's communication made a huge difference in helping with our day of timeline and fine tuning all the little details.


We had the most incredible engagement shoot -she listened to some of our ideas and then guided us into poses that turned into incredible photos. We didnt want the classic Chicago Skyline/Lake photoshoots, and she helped us find some awesome spots!! Who would have thought that underneath the Red Line would turn out to be some of our favorite photos?! We had a connection to have some shots near Wrigley, and they turned out so beautiful!!

We havent received our full wedding photos yet, but Joy was such a pivotal piece of our wedding day. Her sweetness and humor helped make our photoshoots seamless, fun, and so far our preview photos are stunning!! Everyone was raving about her.

Joy you are a ray of sunshine. Your positive energy lights up a room. My now husband is camera shy and made us feel natural when taking pictures for our engagement session and our wedding day. Joy was so accommodating and absolutely went above and beyond our expectations and her role of being our photographer. She was so organized and fun, she not only takes the most incredible photos that truly bring so much joy, but she made sure if I needed anything, and I truly mean anything, she helped me. I'm really happy with our decision to work with Joy as our wedding photographer. She is friendly and kind and was able to give the wedding party good direction without coming off as too controlling. She had photographed at our venue before, and it was super helpful that she knew all of the great shooting locations. She also snuck us outside towards the end of our dinner to take sunset photos and I'm so glad she did! They ended up being some of our favorites. The photos turned out really well! Joy came highly recommended to us from my best friend whose wedding she photographed a few years prior. I absolutely loved her engagement and wedding photos, so I already knew she was wonderful. Joy's only goal is to make your day as perfect and as special as possible, which shines through every step leading up to the wedding day. She really takes the time to get to know you as a couple and figure out what you're looking for. We just got back our photos and they are stunning! Romantic and beautiful and the perfect blend of candid and portrait shots. She somehow managed to capture what I would call every single special moment and reaction of the day. Joy was a dream to work with! From our first meeting to the big day, Joy put me at ease and handled everything so perfectly. She was extremely personable and organized throughout the entire planning process. Joy did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos, and all of them turned out beautifully. Joy Lyn deserves more than just five stars. When my husband Jesse and I first met Joy for our engagement session we knew she was the perfect photographer! We felt comfortable and happy to be around her. Our engagement session went by in the blink of an eye because she made it a fun experience.

For our wedding day again she was an absolute PLEASURE to work with. Her KIND demeanor and PROFESSIONALISM are not only the qualities that make her amazing! She went ABOVE and BEYOND on our wedding day to make sure my husband and I had the best photographs - we had rainy weather but our POSITIVE and FLEXIBLE photographer brought us so much JOY and HOPE with the BEAUTIFUL photographs she took! Not only did Joy take on the role as a photographer but as a TEAM PLAYER . She fixed any loose hair, grabbed my bouquet when necessary and even brought an umbrella for the wedding to be on the safe side.

Joy took beautiful pictures at the ceremony and reception! At both locations she was attentive to our family by calling them by their names. Her kindness made the little ones feel comfortable to smile in front of the camera. By doing this, she made us feel at ease and like we had known her for years.


In addition, she captured the essence of our wedding, floral decor and dancing guests! She has a good eye and made sure to pay attention even to the smallest details such as my wedding invitation, wedding jewelry, etc. It is a nice memory to look back on those items, too!
