My Husband and I first met Joe and Monique December 2016. We happened to be in Lake Tahoe for our wedding tasting and they scheduled us in after. The moment we met Joe and Monique we felt this instant connection. We knew we were in the process of making life long friends. After our meeting we continued to communicate through email/phone to schedule our engagement shoot. We had the best time with our engagement shoot. Joe and Monique took all the hassle out by hiring the hair and make up artists (which they only hire the best) and securing the shooting locations. It made it so convenient for us since we live out of state. This actually also helped me (the Bride) hire my hair and make up artist for my wedding day. Once we got our engagement photos back we were completely blown away. Joe and Monique captured some of the most beautiful pictures, they are jaw dropping. Both of our families couldn't believe how amazing they came out. It really got everyone excited for the wedding photos. We couldn't wait to see what they were going to capture. Our wedding took place in July 2017. Joe and Monique made the day so much fun. They literally had to wrangle cats with our huge families, and both of them remained very calm and professional during those stressful moments. We also did the bridal shoot about a month after our wedding and they again went over and beyond coordinating it all. We are beyond happy with the way our photos turned out! We look forward to working with them every year and see what beauty they will capture! They are not just our wedding photographers, they are now our good friends!

Joseph and his wife were awsome!! They went way beyond just being a photographer at our sons wedding in Lake Tahoe. We cherish the memories and the photos were Fantastic. Absolutely recommend them.

Joe took group pictures of four rambunctious children ages 8, 4, 3 and 1 1/2. He managed to get MANY stunning pictures, some posed and some candid! I was very impressed because the kids were wild to say the least. There are so many great shots to choose from. Narrowing down to a few favorites will be a challenge. Not a bad predicament!

Working with Joe and Monique has been a pleasure. We had engagement pictures done in San Francisco and Tahoe, and our wedding at Winter's Creek Lodge (Mt Rose). They all turned out truly amazing. We got the posed pretty pictures that everyone wants and needs, but also the kind of pictures that you would hang on your wall, even if they didn't have us in them.

It's easy to relax and get those genuine pictures with Joe and Monique. The amount of work and thought they put into your wedding is above and beyond. Scouting locations before hand, doing a goofy nerdy photo shop for one of your pictures (I honestly thought we'd get turned down, but Joe was excited to do it), and top notch professionalism.

Before hiring Joe for our wedding on October 23rd, 2016, I had worked with him at a wedding the previous year. I was lucky in being able to see him work from a wedding coordinator's point of view before I saw him from a bride's point of view. The minute I saw his photos in 2015 (just on his camera's display screen) I knew that I wanted Joe and Monique to photograph my future wedding (and I wasn't even engaged yet!).

Flash forward to February 2016, I was finally engaged and my first choice was Joe. The absolute selling point was how amazingly well Joe and Monique got along with my now husband and I. Hiring Joseph Hummel Photography was, by far, one of the EASIEST decisions while planning our wedding.
