Let Josefina Events make your life easier!
Before I get into my review of the wedding planning process with Josefina Events, there were two things about Jackquelyn that really made the process much easier for me: 1) she went above and beyond the call of duty. She was down on her hands and knees taking my shoes off after a long night of dancing. She knew I had hardly anything to eat in two days and brought a plate of food directly to me during hair and makeup. She stored my wedding décor in her own house for me. I don’t know if these are typical duties of a wedding planner, but I really appreciated feeling as if she went out of her way for me. And 2) she was extremely communicative and responsive. This was a big requirement for me when I was choosing a wedding planner and Jackquelyn was always there to answer any question I had – big or small – and the response time was always immediate, professional and courteous.
Also, before I get into my review…my husband and I had a small argument over the budget two weeks before the wedding. I was actually worried Jackquelyn was going to quit on us. Instead, she handled the situation professionally and with aplomb. I was really impressed by her response back to my husband…he ended up apologizing to her for overreacting! Her experience really shone through in this situation.
I found Josefina Events through a Google search of Palm Desert wedding planners. I met with several before picking Josefina Events, largely because I loved their creative ideas. Right off the bat, Jackquelyn was patient, professional and knowledgeable. I wanted to be very much involved in every step of the process and not once did Jackquelyn get annoyed or frustrated with me. And I’m sure if you want her to handle the whole wedding on her own, she’d be okay with that too!
Josefina Events also has a wonderful selection of vendors. I had guests tell me they had never seen a wedding like ours (everything from the flatware to the dining tables was unique) and that was in large part due to the vendors Jackquelyn recommended. In addition, once she passed on the vendors’ websites to me, she took a backseat and let me run amok and stepped in when it came time for the administrative stuff. But we also collaborated together throughout the process as well, like with the décor, menus, disposables, etc. She brought in her expertise when she knew I needed it and took a step back when she knew I didn’t. Jackquelyn also recommended a fantastic photographer with whom I felt totally comfortable. Posing for photos can be so awkward, so it helps to have a photographer who makes you feel like a friend is taking your picture. I wish I had also listened to Jackquelyn when picking the florist. I went with one I had used in the past, but now wished I had gone with Jackquelyn’s recommendation. Like I said, I picked Josefina Events for their creative ideas and Jackquelyn did not disappoint. She had so many cute details and touches that put our wedding just a step above.
Our small wedding turned into four events across two days and Josefina Events was there every step of the way (Jackquelyn was also there for us weeks after our wedding when we ran into some unforeseen issues). Not everything will go accordingly to plan during the wedding planning process, but without Jackquelyn, I know it would have been stressful and difficult. Do yourself a favor and leave all that for Jackquelyn and pick Josefina Events to help plan your wedding!
