Great Experience Leading to the Best Night Ever!
Jackquelyn came to us recommended from our venue and she did not disappoint. We worked with her for about a year to plan the big day. From our first meeting to our last, she was prepared, professional, and easy to work with. She was always quick to respond to texts and emails and happy to hop on a call or zoom. Additionally, we met with her in person three times over the course of our year working together. She was always incredibly easy to talk to on the phone and we felt like all of our desires and concerns were being heard and understood in these conversations.
Our wedding was a destination wedding of about 200 people and Jackquelyn helped us tremendously by finding us a hotel that suited our needs and then working with the hotel to secure a room block at a reasonable rate. She suggested a few vendors for each service we wanted and helped us choose which of the recommended vendors best fit our priorities and budget. Once we chose each vendor, she helped us contract with them quickly. Each vendor she recommended outperformed our expectations.
On the day of the wedding, Jackquelyn took charge and had everything under control. She worked tirelessly to make sure our vision became a reality and even made a few last minute requests happen. The wedding was structured and flowed seamlessly. Because of Jackquelyn’s hard work and competency, my husband and I were able to stay calm and relaxed and truly enjoy our wedding.
All in all, Jackquelyn advocated for us, recommended a dream team of vendors, calmed our anxieties, and delivered a spectacular wedding. She made our wedding dreams a reality and we had the best night of our lives. Our guests agree, we've been told it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We would not only recommend Jackquelyn to friends and family for events, but we would absolutely turn back to her for any events in the future! -

Jackquelyn from Josefina Events is Absolute Perfection!
There is no way we can adequately express our gratitude for Jackquelyn from Josefina Events. She wasn't just a coordinator; she was an absolute force of nature who went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was everything we hoped for—and more. She was, quite simply, perfect.
From the moment we started working together, Jackquelyn was entirely on top of every detail. Our weekly meetings were extremely helpful, serving as crucial guideposts that kept us organized and, most importantly, stress-free. We never once felt overwhelmed, which is a testament to her meticulous planning and calm demeanor.
More than just keeping us on schedule, Jackquelyn brought our entire vision to life perfectly. Walking into the reception space was breathtaking; the tablescapes were stunning, and the sweetheart table was a showstopper. Everything—from the smallest detail to the overall atmosphere—was exactly how I wanted it, and so much more.
Jackquelyn's support was invaluable in unexpected ways. We were thrilled to learn that she had decor available for us to use, which helped us save money without sacrificing the aesthetic vision. Furthermore, booking waitstaff through her was seamless, making the entire service and logistical flow of the day incredibly streamlined and easy.
However, the moment that truly showed her commitment was when she stepped in to help with my dress. When both my MOH and mom couldn't figure out the complicated bustle after the ceremony, Jackquelyn didn't hesitate—she personally came over and figured it out, saving the rest of our night! That level of personal, hands-on dedication is unmatched.
We truly cannot imagine our wedding day without her. It was the best night of our lives, and it was all because of Jackquelyn's flawless execution, deep professionalism, and genuine care. If you want a stress-free wedding, book Josefina Events!-

Forthright, professional, and kind
Jackquelyn really helped support my wedding planning process - we had monthly calls where she walked us through everything we needed to be doing that month, and checked in to make sure we were moving along well. She also had great vendor recommendations -- all of my vendors were 10/10 because of her honest judgment and feedback. We really appreciated how forthright, practical, and helpful she was in creating a dream day while also sticking to a budget. I highly recommend Jackquelyn and her team. 10/10 Wedding Planning Would Recommend to All Couples!
My husband and I worked with Jackquelyn of Josefina Weddings & Events to plan our dream wedding weekend at wineries in Temecula. She did all the planning and was absolutely incredible. She found all of our vendors, toured venues with us, ordered and sent out all our save the dates & invitations, and made my Pinterest board come to life. She was always just a text or a phone call away and made sure we were on track with everything months out from the big day. Her day of itinerary kept us completely on track for the day, handled all coordination/set up/take down, and made sure that we felt like superstars that day! Wedding Dream Come True
We loved working with Jackquelyn of Josefina Weddings & Events for the planning of our destination wedding in La Jolla, California. She immediately understood our vision and went above and beyond to make our wedding dream a reality. Jackquelyn is warm, friendly, and easy to work with. She was always quick to respond to texts, calls, and emails. She had smart and cost-effective advice and solutions. And since we were working with Jackquelyn from another state, she was always accommodating and available to work with our schedule and time zone. One of my favorite memories on our special day, was arriving at the venue to see that she had perfectly executed everything we had been planning. It was like walking into our dream. The entire event was perfect, and no detail was missed. We can’t thank her enough for making our wedding dream come true. -

A great experience
We worked with Jordan Petty through Josefina Events for our wedding recently, and couldn't be happier with the service that he provided. Initially, we only hired a "day of" coordinator because our venue required it, but in the end, we are SO GLAD that we did, since it made our wedding weekend so much more stress-free and simple. Jordan started having weekly video calls with us about six weeks before our wedding, and he was willing to make the meetings as short or as long as we wanted. He would always start by asking how we were doing with the planning process, or if we had any concerns. He gave us plenty of time to ask all of our random questions, but he also prompted us with his own questions, so we had lots of time to make informed decisions on every aspect of the planning process. On the day of the wedding, he was a calming voice and very on top of the event. He kept checking in with us to see how we were doing, and kept the wedding running smoothly and on time. He even brought us a plate of appetizers when we didn't have time to get them for ourselves. At the end of the night, our families were worried that they would be stuck with a lot of cleanup work, but Jordan and his team exceeded expectations, and made it an easy process. We would definitely recommend him and Josefina events for your upcoming wedding! -

Let Josefina Events make your life easier!
Before I get into my review of the wedding planning process with Josefina Events, there were two things about Jackquelyn that really made the process much easier for me: 1) she went above and beyond the call of duty. She was down on her hands and knees taking my shoes off after a long night of dancing. She knew I had hardly anything to eat in two days and brought a plate of food directly to me during hair and makeup. She stored my wedding décor in her own house for me. I don’t know if these are typical duties of a wedding planner, but I really appreciated feeling as if she went out of her way for me. And 2) she was extremely communicative and responsive. This was a big requirement for me when I was choosing a wedding planner and Jackquelyn was always there to answer any question I had – big or small – and the response time was always immediate, professional and courteous.
Also, before I get into my review…my husband and I had a small argument over the budget two weeks before the wedding. I was actually worried Jackquelyn was going to quit on us. Instead, she handled the situation professionally and with aplomb. I was really impressed by her response back to my husband…he ended up apologizing to her for overreacting! Her experience really shone through in this situation.
I found Josefina Events through a Google search of Palm Desert wedding planners. I met with several before picking Josefina Events, largely because I loved their creative ideas. Right off the bat, Jackquelyn was patient, professional and knowledgeable. I wanted to be very much involved in every step of the process and not once did Jackquelyn get annoyed or frustrated with me. And I’m sure if you want her to handle the whole wedding on her own, she’d be okay with that too!
Josefina Events also has a wonderful selection of vendors. I had guests tell me they had never seen a wedding like ours (everything from the flatware to the dining tables was unique) and that was in large part due to the vendors Jackquelyn recommended. In addition, once she passed on the vendors’ websites to me, she took a backseat and let me run amok and stepped in when it came time for the administrative stuff. But we also collaborated together throughout the process as well, like with the décor, menus, disposables, etc. She brought in her expertise when she knew I needed it and took a step back when she knew I didn’t. Jackquelyn also recommended a fantastic photographer with whom I felt totally comfortable. Posing for photos can be so awkward, so it helps to have a photographer who makes you feel like a friend is taking your picture. I wish I had also listened to Jackquelyn when picking the florist. I went with one I had used in the past, but now wished I had gone with Jackquelyn’s recommendation. Like I said, I picked Josefina Events for their creative ideas and Jackquelyn did not disappoint. She had so many cute details and touches that put our wedding just a step above.
Our small wedding turned into four events across two days and Josefina Events was there every step of the way (Jackquelyn was also there for us weeks after our wedding when we ran into some unforeseen issues). Not everything will go accordingly to plan during the wedding planning process, but without Jackquelyn, I know it would have been stressful and difficult. Do yourself a favor and leave all that for Jackquelyn and pick Josefina Events to help plan your wedding!-

Best Decision of our Wedding!
Jackquelyn from Josefina events was our last month coordinator for our April Wedding. I had interviewed several other planners in the San Diego area and what drew me to Jackquelyn was her professionalism as well as a sense of confidence of what she offered as a coordinator. Hiring her was the best decision we made for our wedding and ultimately, the whole wedding went off without a hitch! We had weekly talks and chatted constantly leading up to the wedding. She was always available via text or email. She helped us make decisions and reminded us of what else needed to be done before the big day. Additionally, she helped source additional vendors as we realized some additional needs/wants towards the end. My husband and I would highly recommend hiring Jackquelyn, you won’t regret it. -

Great communication, timeliness and professionalism
Choosing Jackquelyn as our wedding coordinator was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. Despite facing months of challenges with the management and communication of our venue, Jackquelyn stepped in and tackled the issues head-on, ensuring that everything was set and executed flawlessly on the big day. Thank gosh for Josefina Wedding & Events
Throughout the entire wedding process, one of the sayings that kept coming up was, “thank gosh for Jacquelyn!” With our big amount of families and friends, we decided to have a 500+ wedding. We knew a large scale wedding like this was inevitably going to have logistical nightmares leading up to the day; however, every issue that came up, Jacquelyn was always there to resolve our issues in a prompt manner.
She dealt with all of our vendors, scheduling, provided us all the tips/insights we needed to make decisions, went in person with us to deal with the venue, got all of our permits, made sure all of our stuff got home at the end of the night, and much much more. She made the wedding process go smoothly and we were able to just focus on enjoying and being present at our wedding.
I’m not sure how our wedding would have been without Jacquelyn. She was truly our peace of mind and helped us turn our dream wedding into a reality. Hands down, Jacquelyn is one of the best to work with in San Diego. If you want peace of mind and professionalism, make sure to lock down Jacquelyn! -

Spectacular Nigerian Wedding!
Jackie and her team were amazing and so was my Nigerian wedding! We had some caterers and a dance group show up literally 3 hours late, BUT none of our guests could tell because Jackie and her team were able to shift around the schedules of our DJ and other caterers that we had. It could have been a disaster, but it ended up being spectacular! -

WOW! My husband and I cannot praise Josefina Events enough! Jackquelyn was fantastic from start to finish and made not only our wedding day but our planning process a complete breeze. I am a very type-a personality and Jackquelyn was there every step of the way to answer any questions or concerns I had about the structure, flow, or organization of our big day.

Made Our Day Perfect!
From our first meeting with Jackquelyn, we knew our special day would be in good hands. She made our dream a reality! The passion, attention to detail, organization, guidance and care she put into our wedding made the day more amazing than we could have ever imagined. She made sure that every moment was flawless, that we ate and even brought us our specialty cocktails while we took pictures after the ceremony! She helped take care of all of the details, big and small, and kept in communication down to the day of with all of our vendors. It took all of the last minute stress off of us. Jackquelyn @ Josefina Events was an absolute pleasure to work with! As an Event Producer myself, there were very high expectations for my and my husband’s wedding weekend in Palm Springs. Simply the best!
I can't say enough about how amazing Jackquelyn is. We are forever grateful for helping us have the perfect wedding. She is well known by the Palm Springs/Palm Desert venues and vendors so it was so easy to make the connection. She is truly a top tier professional with attention to detail and organization. Everything went according to plan and she executed our vision perfectly. I could always get a hold of her, she guided me through the process, gave me suggestions and most importantly, she made me feel comfortable. I never felt like she was pushing me to do/get something I didn't want. The day of my wedding, all I did was literally hand her a box of items (like my cards box, guest book, etc) and I did not have to do anything else except get dressed. Full review: When we found Josefina Events, our wedding was in a difficult spot. We were having two ceremonies, a native ceremony on Friday followed by a western wedding on Saturday, and we had lost our original planner. This made the whole process very complicated for us to manage. One month out from our date, we had all of our vendors booked (venue/food, DJ, photographers, etc.), but COVID was resurging, we faced shortages of flowers, and we were facing challenges left and right. We needed a superhero to help us get our wedding rolling, and we found her!
From our first call with Jackquelyn, we knew that we were in good hands. Jackquelyn took the reins and helped us stitch together all of our vendors into a unit, plan our day carefully, and take care of all the little details that make the experience special for our guests (signage, heel stoppers, you name it). She connected us with great rental and floral vendors, and she even went to scope out the venue in advance to make sure our table layout would work properly. She managed vendors and guests across multiple cultures with great respect.
Even more, Jackquelyn helped keep the day running smoothly. Anytime a vendor asked us for something, we’d just point them to Jackquelyn, who would handle it with consummate professionalism despite the dual ceremonies, multiple venues, and compressed timelines.
Perhaps the biggest vote of confidence is that our family hired her to plan my brother’s wedding which will take place in a few months. Thank you so much!

Last minute perfection M
After catching him in a series of lies, the coordinator I had hired quit six days before my son's 200 guest wedding! Fortunately I had done all the planning and contracting myself so I tapped every source I could think of to find a last minute "day of" coordinator. I was blessed to find Jackquelyn and she calmly took over five days before the wedding! She reviewed all the contract, contacted the vendors, reviewed all my plans, etc. She was out of town so this was down remotely and we never met until the morning of the wedding, however her calmness and organizational skills put me at ease during what could have been a horribly intense week. The wedding went off without a hitch and no one was the wiser. I cannot imagine what Jackquelyn could do with more that five days to prepare!! -

Intimate family & friends dinner
My husband and I got married at the courthouse, but we still wanted to celebrate our love with our family and friends. We hired Josefina Events and had the pleasure of working with Jackquelyn. Excellent Assistance
Well worth every penny spent. Josefina Events (Jackquelyn) displayed expertise and care throughout the wedding process. She has a very thorough and organized process that helps set their high standard. She was almost like a personal assistant throughout the actual wedding day; something I wasn’t expecting. Initially, I thought we don’t need a wedding planner, boy was I wrong. Weddings are very stressful and require many behind the scene details, something you don’t realize until it’s time to plan your own. Thank you, Josephina Events!! -

Amazing and Meant to Be!
I was married on October 2nd, 2021 at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, CA. We ended up hiring Josefina Events for full service wedding planning. My husband and I found Laura through a friend, whose wedding we weren’t able to attend due to Covid, but thought the photos of our friend’s wedding reflected what we wanted in our wedding. After a couple weeks of emailing, it turned out Laura was booked for our wedding date and was not going to be able to work with us due to the fact that she had already been booked. This was hard for me to stomach, as she was my first choice planner. Low and behold, my then fiancé and I decided to fire our former wedding planner. We reached back out to Laura to see if she could recommend someone to us and as it turned out, our October 2nd wedding date opened up for her and she was able to take us on as clients.
I cannot express to the universe how grateful I am that I had the opportunity to work with Laura and the entire Josefina Events team. From start to finish, they were the epitome of professional - making sure every single detail about our wedding was absolutely perfect. Laura always gave me the sense that she understood my vision and mirrored our wedding off of the vibe that my husband and I conveyed to her. I cannot recommend Laura and her team enough. If you want to have your wedding dreams come true, I would 100% hands down recommend hiring her. She is the biggest blessing to the industry and was the reason OUR wedding dreams came true. Best day ever!
Being a 2020 turned 2021 bride was no easy feat, however having a wedding planner who was a constant beam of hope in the planning process was what helped me make it to the best day ever! Laura and Kristin from Josefina Events flawlessly took over for this type A bride and helped to execute the most perfect day I could have ever imagined. They handled all of our vendors, family, and friends with ease and kept us on schedule the entire day, all the while ensuring we were having the time of our lives. They were truly a blessing on the day of and handled everything from the beginning of the day until the very end so that I did not have to worry about one single thing! I cannot recommend Josefina Events enough, they truly went above and beyond, were compassionate in the face of the rollercoaster of wedding planning, were professional throughout, and truly felt like a family friend (that just happened to be really amazing at planning, organizing, and executing weddings lol!). Thank you to Laura and Kristin for helping to make our long awaited day come true - would 10/10 do it all over again just to relive the most perfect day!-

Laura made my DREAM DAY a reality snd it was even better than I imagined.
Best thing I did was hire Luara to help me plan our wedding. She put me at ease from the moment I first spoke to her. I am a major over-thinker, to the point where it ruins all the fun for myself. Laura took everything off my plate and not only did I get to enjoy planning it but I was able to enjoy the entire day without a single worry. The team of vendors she surrounds herself with were amazing as well. People are still texting me saying how gorgeous the event was and how much fun they had. Sad to see the event be over but can't wait to work with Laura again. She is a must hire -

Love and Light
There are no words that can describe my experience with Laura but here we go. From the beginning of pre-COVID wedding planning, Laura was a shining light of energy. She’s knowledgable, charismatic and honest. She’ll give you her honest opinion on vendors, budget planning and expectations. Her industry experience is completely unparalleled. I was excited to start planning the big day with a great support.
Fast forward COVID where no one knew what was going on. Laura stayed positive and honest and hopeful throughout it all. There was a lot of checking in and a sense of ‘it’s going to be ok’ which is exactly what I needed. Despite everyone telling me to push the wedding to 2021 so ‘everyone can be there’ Laura helped me see the only person that needed to be there was my fiancé. Laura would help me with whatever I decided but in my heart I knew this was the right path for us.
After 3 wedding date changes, 1 venue cancellation and a dramatic drop in guests, I got my dream wedding. To say that I truly could not have done it without Laura would be a understatement. Is she a new best friend, a therapist, a magical fairy godmother and a boss? Yes, yes, yes and hell yes!!! The day was executed flawlessly which speaks volumes to Laura’s planning. She brought together a vision I didn’t even know was possible. I was truly taken aback by the beauty of the venue. I trusted Laura’s vision and expertise and was not disappointed. I couldn’t have ‘pinned’ a more beautiful day. As I waited to walk down the with my dad, with tears in his eyes he said, “wow, this is absolutely incredible.” He is a man of few words but they are full of sentiment.
I can never thank her enough for planing the most special day of my life but the happiness that we all exude from the photos are a great start.
Laura, I hope you know your gifts are as unique as you! Thank you for always putting my mind at ease, coming up with hilarious puns, having the most calming energy and for simply being you throughout this wild journey!-

Pure magic - Laura's so much more than a wedding planner!
Laura is the epitome of what it is to be a wedding planner and true partner throughout the process! She's extremely detail oriented, responsive, honest, a true advocate for her clients, and extremely empathetic and positive. She even created a custom package for me when I let her know that I wasn't needing the full or partial planning, but wanting something more than just day-of coordination. If you were planning a wedding and suddenly a pandemic hit, you're going to wish you had Laura in your corner! I couldn't be more grateful that I chose her!
COVID-19 had us navigate through changing the wedding date 3 times, switching venues twice, and working through changing details right up until the week of the wedding. Throughout the process, Laura went above and beyond and was extremely empathetic, calling to check in on how I was doing emotionally, providing an ear to listen and words of support, guidance on how to handle difficult conversations with vendors, and reminding me that she was by my side through it all ensuring the day would be magical. Not once did she complain as things were constantly changing, rather the opposite - ensuring all of my vendors were on the same page and notified asap as any changes were made. So much so that every single one of my vendors commented on how awesome and on top of it she was.
I just got married on October 1, 2020 and the wedding day was beyond anything I could have dreamed of, a true fairytale. I was so calm that day, knowing Laura was taking care of everything and making sure everyone was safe, and that we were on schedule. She reminded us to breathe and take it all in, and to take time as a couple after the ceremony. All these little things add up to big things, as this truly was a perfect day that went off without a hitch. She started as my planner, but now she's someone I consider a dear friend. Thank you so much for turning my vision into a reality, Laura!-

Highly recommended wedding planner!
We are so grateful to have found Laura from Josefina Wedding & Events to work with as a planner for our wedding. Unfortunately, we have had to postpone our wedding until next year due to COVID-19 and Laura has been so wonderful and accommodating. We have already been working with her for almost a year and she is always so responsive and provides us with so much useful information. Best Wedding Designers/Producers in the Field!
If you are looking for the best wedding or event designers/producers on the planet, then stop your search right now because I promise you will find that in Josefina Events! Laura and her fantastic team (including Dana, Bryce, and others) designed and produced our wedding and they could not have done a more spectacular job! My husband and I recommend them wholeheartedly to plan your wedding and/or special event.
When we met Laura (Josefina Events Founder and CEO), it was immediately clear that she is brilliant, engaging, and kind. She exudes creativity, vision, and the energy it takes to accomplish any dream you might have. It didn't take more than a couple of conversations and review of her outstanding work to realize that she and her team were the wedding producers of our dreams! We never regretted the decision for an instant.
Peter and I could not have made a better decision. At every turn, Laura and her team made the process fun, rewarding, and relaxing. She took the inspiration we gave her and turned it into an incredibly luxurious, beautiful, and fun weekend that was a joy for us and all of our guests! Throughout the process, the Josefina Events team introduced us to an A-list group of vendors who made the event planning a breeze. She and her team turned our inspiration into a reality that FAR exceeded expectations, and we truly had the wedding weekend of our dreams! The best ladies to work with!
Dana was a god send on our wedding day! I opted for the month of wedding planning option since I was taking care of a lot of the pre-planning logistics myself, but really needed someone who could take over and handle all vendor comms, timeline planning and day of coordination and I am SO GLAD I did! Dana jumped on board about a month out from our wedding, we handled mostly everything over email and it was so easy because she was so organized and detail oriented. She and Kristin made our wedding day seamless and stress free, even when our flower delivery person was late, they kept things calm and more importantly made me feel like they were on top of it and had it handled. Both Dana and Kristin were true professionals and helped with every detail the day of our wedding, even helping to manage my crazy foreign family. We could not have been more happy with the service we got and I would highly recommend them to any future bride.-

Best Wedding Decision
Hiring Josefina was the best wedding decision I made. My husband and I wanted to get married at a house, so the wedding was very DIY. Three months before our wedding, we hadn't done much and were struggling to find time to research and vet the vendors we'd need (eg. table/chair rentals, bathroom rentals, caterers, DJs, buses to take guests to/from the venue and on and on). We were VERY stressed. I found Josefina online and their reviews were perfect, so I scheduled a time to speak with Laura and I immediately felt relieved. She talked me through the different options and it was clear because of the time frame and the DIY nature of the wedding we'd need full-service planning. And I'm so happy we did it! Jackquelyn did the most amazing job. She walked us through every decision, clearly explained the pros and cons of each option, and made recommendations (which were all spot on). She set a realistic budget from the outset, was very clear about invoicing and budgeting, and helped us stay within our budget. She was there on day-of to coordinate all the vendors and it took all the stress out of the day. I was so pleased with all the vendors! The flowers were so beautiful, the DJ was a hit, the food was delicious and the photographer/videographers were great! She made sure everyone was where they should be when they needed to be and that all the preparations went smoothly. The wedding decor was so much better than what I could have imagined/planned myself (I'm a lawyer, and have no artistic sensibility). I'm immensely thankful to Jackquelyn and Laura who guided us through the process, made it all seem easy and created the most incredible day for us. I cannot recommend Jackquelyn and Laura and their whole team highly enough!! -

Exceptional wedding planners
I worked with Dana with Josefina Events to plan my wedding. I booked the "day-of" package, which really means that Dana is available to me 24/7 up to 6 weeks prior to the wedding date to fine tune all details. I could not be more thankful to Dana for all her work.
I planned a Pakistani destination wedding in San Diego. Dana was AWESOME. This was her first time coordinating a Pakistani wedding, but she was exceptional at making all my wedding visions come to reality.
4 weeks prior to my wedding, I had a family emergency, and was unsure until about 14 days prior to the wedding date if things would resume as planned. Dana was so reliable. While I spent my days and nights in the hospital visiting with family, she was my voice to all my vendors.
The day of the wedding, Dana came with a team of 3 to make sure that the wedding ran on schedule, and all my visions were realized. She was awesome. (by the way, the wedding ran AHEAD of schedule...which is unbelievable considering I had 200 guests)
She was patient with all my family members pulling her in all directions. She made sure my husband and I enjoyed our wedding. Thanks to her, I was so relaxed on my own wedding day! -

Dana is the the best in the business, hands down!
From day one, Dana was great to us. When we did the venue walk-through she helped us paint a picture of where everything would go. She coordinated the tasting, which was a very sweet and memorable experience. From those early stages where we are figuring out so many big decisions, she was always there for us and so supportive, always having helpful recommendations, but never being pushy.
The wonderful recommendations for vendors from Dana were perfect and I can’t imagine anything better that our A-team (Whimsey Florals, Holly Ireland Photography, Blush & Adore and DJ Preston). She was incredible in confirming every detail with the vendors, making it so easy for us. We didn’t have to worry about a thing.
Dana managed the rehearsal perfectly, and helped us all through that process and it made for a perfect day-of. We all felt very prepared going into the wedding day.
A big part of this process was that we were planning this wedding from the east coast, and we honestly cannot imagine how we would have been able to pull this off without Dana. She made the whole process so easy and fun - whenever we communicated with her, we always ended up feeling much more at ease.
Dana was an excellent communicator, and effortlessly juggled so many moving parts (and fielded dozens of emails from me) always being prompt in her response.
Dana executed the day-of perfectly, from all the specific logistical details to the big elements of the wedding. It was extremely challenging because it rained on our wedding day, and our wedding was supposed to be outside. Dana helped us through the adjustments and when we had to relocate our ceremony inside, she pulled off a beautiful setting for us - we wouldn’t have changed a single thing. The execution of the timeline was flawless and her management of the onsite deliveries and setup was great.
Every single step of the way, Dana was there for us. She is clearly an extraordinary wedding planner, and truly has a gift. Dana was able to instill confidence in us every step of the way, and we always felt like no matter what, she had everything under control. It’s obvious that Dana is second-to-none in her profession, but beyond that she is a kind, funny, thoughtful person who truly cared about making sure we had the best day. We really bonded with Dana, and it made a difference to have someone managing our wedding day that genuinely cared about us. It was a true pleasure having Dana be a part of our special day, and she has our highest recommendation! -

True professionals, amazing team
The whole planning process and our wedding day was a dream come true thanks to Laura and the Josefina Events crew. This team genuinely cares about their clients and takes care to learn your vibe to execute YOUR vision as you’ve been dreaming of. We were able to work off of their thoughtfully curated list of wonderful, talented vendors to pull our wedding day together. Laura is a problem solver, and works to navigate speed bumps leading up to, or on the day of. She will support you through and through with great advice, emotional support, planning strategy and is just a great person to bounce ideas off of as she’s so passionate and respectful of your wishes. She is at least in step, if not two steps ahead of you already on any concerns or ideas you may be sitting on (There were multiple “I was thinking about that too, and my thought is...” during planning). We had no worries at all during our wedding day as we knew we were in great hands. This team works hard to stay within your planned budget and so is very creative and resourceful in achieving that to help keep you sane. Laura is your champion; you want her in your corner. My only regret is that we have not achieved cloning, so there’s just one of her… but thankfully the entire team is wonderful as well! -

As a wedding photographer professional, I always spot the difference between a good and bad wedding coordinator, and let me just say this... this team delivers AMAZING execution every time!! I loved working with Dana and Jackquelyn. They're both make my clients feel so much at ease because they literally take care of every detail in a professional manner.
I've never worked with wedding coordinators as involved as they are. They emailed the schedule out timely with every detail so that I would be ready. During family photos, Dana even stepped up to help me coordinate the crowd and got them excited for their turn, haha! We shot at the Tom Ham Light house and during the portrait session, and she was so involved in helping the bride with her dress and making sure we have enough time for different locations. She never rushed and made sure the bride and I got enough photos during the session.
Jackquelyn is so attentive to all her brides and would think of things they wouldn't think of. She helped hunt and line people up for the ceremony in a timely manner. She made sure all the vendors arrived early and everything was set up so early, I didn't have to wait long to do detail shots of the reception. These coordinators know what they're doing have great attention to all details!
Sometimes brides/grooms think they don't need a coordinator/planner and can handle the process themselves, but its absolutely crucial. Weddings can present stressful moments, but these ladies have the BEST attitude in staying calm, professional, and upbeat! They have positive energy and are always working hard on their feet. I love them , my brides love them, and we highly recommend their services!-

I originally had met with a few other planners who I just didn’t click with, and I was getting a bit panicked. Then I found Laura and I knew I had found the right person! I felt a kindred spirit in Laura - super buttoned up but so warm and friendly. Even if you only are using someone for the Day Of package, you will be spending so much time in communication with your planner and you just want to make sure they “get you” and your individual needs. Laura got me and had my back every step of the way. She gave me advice on everything from party rentals to tipping etiquette and everything in between. But here is how she is unique. She listens. She has so much good information and advice, but she has not forgotten that this is your day. She will listen to your individual wishes and desires and help you make them a reality. Laura was my sounding board and champion. I liked how upfront she was about what each package offered, and she helped customize a package to meet my needs. Besides managing all the to-do’s like creating my timeline and coordinating my vendor deliveries/pickups, she and her team went the extra mile in so many ways… and she was always so positive and fun to be with. The ABSOLUTE BEST choice you'll make for your wedding day
Dana made our wedding day absolutely perfect. I planned most of our wedding, and we hired her for the month leading up to the event, and it was the best choice! I live up in Northern CA, so Dana and I spoke on the phone, and I could tell she was the right fit just from our conversation. I met her and Jackquelyn for the first time at our month-prior walkthrough, and they immediately jumped into all the details. Dana and Jackquelyn lent their expertise to the overall layout, table settings, day-of timeline, and other key details, keeping my vision in mind throughout.
I was out of town on a work trip the weekend before our wedding, and there were a lot of situations that came up last minute that needed to be resolved with other vendors, and Dana stepped in and handled everything seamlessly, and I was so grateful! Not only did Dana and Jackquelyn handle the vendor communication and coordination, but they also brought my vision to life. I spent months creating my decorations and envisioning how it would all come together, and Dana and Jackquelyn executed it even better than I had imagined. I’m very particular person and I wanted things a certain way, but I had so much confidence in Dana and Jackquelyn that I let them take the reigns on some of the setup, like our sweetheart table, and it turned out gorgeous! On our wedding day, I was able to relax and didn’t worry about a single thing (which is saying a lot!) thanks to Dana and Jackquelyn. They handled EVERYTHING, from coordinating vendor arrival, setup and teardown, to setting up all the decorations, working with the catering team, and ensuring everything was PERFECT until the very end of the evening. I can't thank Dana and Jackquelyn enough for making our wedding day magical. It was truly the best day of our lives, and Dana and Jackquelyn with Josefina Events made that possible. -

Stress free
Dana was so great to work with both the day of our wedding and the months before. The day of our wedding we did not have to worry about anything, it was truly stress-free thanks to Dana. She made sure everything went smoothly throughout the day from ensuring we took the time to eat to making sure all of our personal items were put away at the end of the night. -

Excellent day-of wedding coordination delivered by Jackquelyn Dinh
This review is specifically for Jackquelyn Dinh who is now a member of Josefina Events. Jackquelyn was our day of wedding coordinator and she executed everything flawlessly, from lining up our bridal party to walk down the aisle, transporting and setting up decorations, to greeting guests... The list is endless. There probably is more that she did for us that day that we'll never know about. But, what I am certain about is that, if it were not for Jackquelyn working behind the scenes, we would not have been able to execute a successful 150 guest wedding. She was always prompt, dependable and friendly. I cannot thank her enough for all that she has done. Without her, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the day as much as we did. Exceeded expectations
My daughter chose Josefina Events to be her ”day- of wedding coordinator”, and we could not have been more pleased, and actually over-impressed by the experience last weekend. Dana became very involved a little over a month prior to the wedding, and exceeded all our expectations. Our daughter is very detail-oriented and had a vision she had worked on for 10 months. Dana understood completely what was needed to make her day what she had dreamed of, and overcame every hurdle for us. She and Jackquelyn were there for the rehearsal, handled all decorations and staging, and had all vendors organized. From the moment they arrived on the wedding day to the very end of the evening, their calm demanor and thoughtful actions and hard work took all the stress off of our families and the bride, and allowed us to have an amazing, fun, worry-free, magical wedding and reception. They seemed to be everywhere at once, handling anything that came up, but always calmly and discreetly. I can’t say enough about these two capable, caring women. -

We are so happy to have hired Dana and Josefina Events for our wedding day. Our venue required us to use multiple vendors and rentals, and when it became apparent that we did not want to be the contact person the "day of," we immediately began looking for a wedding planner. Upon meeting, Dana was so warm, caring, professional, and thorough, we hired her immediately for "The Month of Planning" with confidence. All I had to do was fill out a spreadsheet of who I hired, and forward my contracts, she took care of the rest. As the month approached, I was pleasantly surprised when I reached out to her to check in, and she responded that she had already connected and confirmed with all of our wedding vendors! From that huge sigh of relief onward, our wedding planning process was a breeze. Dana was accessible, responsive, and creative in every question or concern we threw at her. We did not have to think or stress about anything...Dana created a timeline for us to follow, and confirmed with all the vendors, making changes if necessary. And the day of...it was magic! She was onsite to manage all vendor deliveries and setup, and setting the stage for the most beautiful and personal wedding, having her on our side was such a relief so we were able to enjoy our day. We did not have to think of anything. From gently reminding us where we needed to be and when, to the small details, like moving items to the reception site, and placing our florals, no detail was ignored. I remember at the end of the night being so thankful to Dana and her team, for all the behind the scenes work to make our wedding day the most memorable and enjoyable day. She works so hard, so that the wedding couple can enjoy their celebration and fruits of their planning and preparation. We would not have been able pull off such a beautiful wedding had it not been for Dana and Josefina events. We highly recommend them to everyone planning a wedding or event!-

The thought of having to plan a wedding while attending my last year of graduate school was an immediate stressor! Being in San Diego we looked into some venues in Mexico and everything was just falling through. We had even considered postponing the wedding or eloping considering that he was starting graduate school as well and we just started to get discouraged. Luckily for me, I found Josefina Events! After one call with Laura, I immediately felt at ease and knew that with their help we could make it happen! My husband and I decided to go with the Meet me Halfway Package since we knew we were going to need a lot of direction. We also asked if they could assist us in finding a venue since we were both of steam. Dana immediately took the reigns and started our venue search and it's all history from there! Dana helped us find our perfect venue and also kept us in line with our budget. The planning process was beginning to become more enjoyable and stress-free. She assisted us with all the vendors and revised contracts. Communication between us was outstanding! We met several times throughout the process as well to make sure we were all on the same page and to follow up with any questions that we might have had. A month before the wedding she took over all contact with vendors and I was able to really just enjoy my bachelorette party and the pre-wedding pampering. The day of she made sure all vendors were on time and kept our timeline on point! Our wedding was truly everything we had wished for and more! Dana and Laura definitely came through and made our wedding the best it could have possibly been. From setup to breakdown everything worked out perfectly. I know that we would have never been able to pull that off and stay on budget! Dana made the whole process so much fun and her passion for this work really stands out through her actions and commitment to her brides. We will never ever be able to thank you ladies enough for all of your hard work!! -

There is no way we could have pulled off such an amazing wedding day without Dana and the team at Josefine Events. Dana was on top of EVERYTHING! I don't even know where to begin with writing this review... My husband and I felt so blessed to have found Dana with Josefina Events to coordinate our specail day.
We believe that the wedding wouldn't have turned out as amazing as it did without her. She was so easy to work with and really made all my visions come to life on our wedding day. Everything from the church ceremony to the end of the reception was so well organzied and put together. Dana really went above and beyond the call of duty when it came to contacting her before the wedding. The last couple of weeks is about the most nerve wracking and she was always there by my side having my back with anything that came to mind. Dana also worked very well with all our vendors for the wedding and took total charge of the wedding day which I can't even begin to explain how thankful i was for that. Everyone was so relaxed the day of the wedding.
One memorable thing she did for my husband and I was at the end of the night when we got back to our room she had our florist Laura with Bluebell Florals and the hotel staff set up a romantic setting fo us.
All in all we highly reccomend hiring Josefina Events for any event you have coming up. They really know what they're doing.

Highly recommend Josephina events to ensure a smooth wedding day! Dana was an excellent communicator and responded to all emails promptly. I loved her layout of the tables and chairs at all 3 locations of our venue. It was amazing to be able to leave all of the communication between vendors to Dana so I didn’t have to stress about the small stuff. There were no mishaps during the wedding except for when the caterer didn’t have the salads ready in time. Dana calmly handled that situation by suggesting we do the dances first as to allow more time for the caterer to prepare the salads. Nobody noticed that anything had gone “wrong”. It was the perfect save! So appreciative to have had such an awesome team to make my day exceptional. Thank you Dana, Jackquelyn, and Sydney!

I was the matron of honor at the wedding, but I saw how they made my best friend's day an amazing day.

I was recently a bridesmaid at my friend's wedding at Hyatt Mission Bay. I have been in several weddings over the last 5 years, some in which my friend's hired coordinators and others in which they didn't. In my own wedding, I didn’t hire a coordinator and if I had the opportunity to go back in time, hands down I would hire Josefina Events. I had the BEST time at my friend's wedding and I realized it was because of her incredible planner, Dana Blancaflor. As bridesmaids we tend to try to do everything we can to make the day special for the bride. I have been in weddings where the bridesmaids literally set up every detail for the reception after getting hair and makeup done (not ideal!). I would do anything to make my friends’ day special, but The experience is so much more enjoyable for everyone involved when you have a planner who takes care of business. Dana put together an itinerary for the wedding day that made the whole day run smoothly. Everyone knew where and when they needed to be and it took all of the guess work out. As a bridesmaid, we were able to be focused on pampering the sweet bride with love. After this experience, I highly recommend hiring Dana Blancaflor with Josefina Events. Dana is not a coordinator - she is a Coordinator Extrordinaire! My husband and I had done most of the planning ourselves but as the wedding date got closer, things became more and more overwhelming. We needed guidance and we needed help and we needed it ASAP. Since our wedding was a beach ceremony followed by a reception on a rooftop terrace there were many logistics to go over. My now husband (best fiance ever) actually was the one that contacted Dana and hired her on the spot. He had been given her name by a coworker who also had a stressed bride and it's not wonder. From the moment Dana got involved everything changed. I began enjoying the process again and getting excited instead of anxious. We hired her for the Finishing Touch package so she started a few months before. She responded within 24 hours and had every detail nailed down to perfection. Not only was she incredible in the planning stages but on the day of it was like I had a personal concierge. She just "gets" brides! Both her and her assistant , Andrea, orchestrated the day and were hands on from beginning to end. I think if Dana had not stepped in I would have not enjoyed the day. I was recently married in La Quinta, CA at my parent's home. I can honestly tell you I have been dreaming about my wedding day every since I was a little girl. At first, I thought I could plan the wedding for 150 guests with the help of my mother but as we began to plan we realized there are way more pieces to the puzzle than we had considered. Although, I did include a planner in my budget I realized that the time and energy (not to mention stress) I would be saving myself would be well worth it. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE! I worked with Laura and contracted her for the "Meet Me Halfway" package. This package allowed me to be heavily involved in the fun stuff but let a professional navigate the waters and guide me, helping me with budget planning, layout design, hiring vendors and oh my gosh there was so much more. When it came to the day of I honestly felt like a princess and my wonderful mom felt like a queen. We literally just enjoyed it and were able to be in the moment. I didn't have to think, answer questions, stress of any kind. My groom keeps telling everyone I was the easiest best bride ever but the truth is, if I didn't have Josefina Events, especially Laura it would not have gone that way. My wedding was 3 weeks ago and I am still on Cloud 9. Laura is worth even more then she charges and the cost I spent on the planner was nothing compared to what she saved me with vendors and sanity. I can't imagine my wedding without Laura and Dana of Josefina Events! Josefina Events was recommended to me by a friend of mine who used them as a coordinator for their wedding, and I am so glad I took their advice.
I planned most of my October wedding myself, but since my wedding was going to be at my parent's house in their backyard, I felt I needed a day of coordinator to help me bring everything together and handle logistics. At the time of hiring JE, I couldn't have imagined the amount of work tying everything together would have been, but because I had Laura (and Dana day-of) everything came together seamlessly! Laura provided just the guidance we needed to make our ceremony run smoothly, hosting a rehearsal the day before, and handled all communication with vendors 10 days before the wedding, allowing me to relax and prepare for the big day. Laura also gave me advice on how to handle some requests I had for my vendors before her services officially started, which was extremely helpful in making sure everything ran smoothly.
Day of, her and Dana were amazing - their help ensured that no one from my family (or my husband and I) had to do anything except enjoy ourselves! Josefina Events comes highly recommended by me for event planning needs. I would hire them again in a heartbeat! -

Josefina Events did our wedding on 9/2/17. Dana was our lead coordinator, and she was AMAZING. So were her assistants. There was nothing more we could have asked of them. They made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish, down to every detail, with Dana even keeping track of my lipstick all night for when I needed to re-apply! Ha! Another really great thing about Josefina Events were their prompt responses when you contact them. With the stress of planning a wedding, this really puts a bride's mind at ease. I interviews multiple wedding coordinators and my coordinator Dana really stood out for my mother and I. We were looking for organized professional a go getter and just an overall lovely person to work with for my big day.
Dana from the start was very organized and detailed. We had her for our Make our Day Package, and her and the team nailed it. She was very hands on from the start and as our day approached the month of I started in the bride mode of craziness. She was all over it! She met with us answered emails and prioritized our needs and wants. She worked with all our vendors and took into every detail. When my fiancé and I began planning for our wedding, we knew we wanted a Day-of coordinator. This became even more important to us when a job opportunity arose and we found ourselves moving to South Korea 8 months before our wedding day. After my initial conversation with Dana and her team I knew we had made the right choice. They customized a coordinator package, which perfectly met the needs of our 250 guest-Mexican-Indian-Black-fusion-international-non-traditional wedding. Dana and her team’s flexibility was great for us and they were extremely responsive and helpful leading up to our wedding day. This was really important since the venue we chose (Marina Village) meant we were bringing in all of our own vendors which required lots of coordination. They had worked with the majority of our vendors before, which was a huge relief, and in addition, had coordinated weddings at our venue previously so they knew the ins and outs. Dana gave us great recommendations for vendors we needed and even helped us move things along when some vendors weren’t very responsive. My husband and I felt zero stress the weeks leading up to our wedding because Dana and her team ensured everything was taken care of. On our wedding day Dana, Laura and Gabi made sure no one in our wedding party and no family members or myself or my husband had anything to worry about. It was such a relief to enjoy every bit of our wedding, even when one of our vendors arrived late (one of our two caterers!) Dana and her team were on top of it and made sure everything ran smoothly. Dana, Laura and Gabi are not only professional and talented, they are kind, fun, and sweet women who I really enjoyed working with and made the entire wedding planning process a breeze- even from halfway around the world! My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Dana with Josefina Events for our wedding! As the youngest of four married siblings, my mom feels like a wedding planning expert. Our venue recommended that we hire a coordinator, and at first my mom and I were skeptical since we are super organized and she has planned weddings before. After my mom met with Dana however, she could see the value in having a coordinator, so we decided to move forward!
We chose the Day of Package which allowed for two weeks prior to the wedding of heavy planning, organizing, and scheduling. However, in the months leading up to the wedding Dana even answered questions and sent me recommendations for vendors I was having trouble deciding on. She also gave me an online tool to use for organizing our seating arrangement which was SO helpful. Even as "experienced" of a wedding planner my mom was with having three children married, we still had so many questions!
I cannot imagine having the wedding day flow as smoothly as it did without Dana's coordination. It was a stressful few weeks leading up to the wedding, so Dana contacting all my vendors, scheduling when they would get arrive, confirming all our details, and even setting up all of our day of decor, took away so much stress and pressure from my mom and I! In addition it allowed my mom and I to enjoy the wedding day more without people coming to us with question after question.
I would recommend to any bride who is on the fence of hiring a coordinator, DO IT! If you already are very organized and love to plan, utilize the Day Of services to make sure everything comes together perfectly. If you hate planning or are unorganized, utilize the more complete packages. Hiring Josefina Events will give you the chance to enjoy your planning process and rest at ease that everything will get taken care of. You deserve it! Your special day only happens once :)

When I contacted Josefina Events I was put in touch with Dana. We decided on the month of coordination package and it was the best decision we made! Dana from the very beginning was there to give priceless advice, vendor lists, support and recommendations! She is a great communicator and always replied quickly and with resources if needed. She contacted all vendors, created timelines and asked all the right questions.
She was there for us during rehearsal and on the day we met Dorothy who was a wonderful addition to the vendors. My vision and hard work was executed perfectly, actually it was more beautiful than I imagined! Our wedding was held on our property and so as the bride I felt extra nervous regarding how it would all come together but Dana and Dorothy handled it all and let me be the bride on the day. I arrived to a wedding that felt like a dream! All weddings have hiccups; however, there were NONE, or maybe there were but as the bride and groom we had no idea if there were and that's how it should be! Thank you!! -

As the mother of the bride I dont know what we would have done with out our wedding planner Dana. She took the last month when all the real craziness began and made it easy. I did not have to worry about the schedule at all. She kept us up to date and answered her phone if we had a question day or night. I never thought the day of the wedding could be as smooth as it was. I needed ear rings she had them. One of the groomsmen who flew in the night before the wedding ended up with pants too big and she pinned him up literally so his pants stayed on! The end of the night everything was packed up and put into our rooms as we had requested. I did not have to lift a finger. Thank you Dana and Josefina Wedding & Events. -

Laura and her team were such an integral and intimate part of our special day that it feels a little weird to write a "review" for her. But in the interest of sharing with the world how wonderful she is and why you should jump at the chance of working with her, here goes:
If you care enough to be looking for a wedding planner, chances are your wedding is extremely important to you. With your loved ones gathered on a day full of little moments you want to remember for the rest of your life, you need to have someone who is seasoned and who you can fully place your trust in. Laura is that friend who always has your best interest at heart, who will relentlessly fight on your behalf, and who is not afraid to be honest with you when her experience tells her that something you planned may not play out as you had hoped.
In planning a wedding, you will be dealing with lots of vendors, contracts, and delicate coordination. If you are not a professional event planner, it can get a bit overwhelming juggling it all. Laura and Dana are the allies you need on your side who will find the best deals for you and clearly communicate with you each step of the way.
Putting things in terms of dollars cheapens how highly we think of Laura and her team. But if that's what matters to you, the savings that Laura can get you - through her list of vendors and her negotiating skills - alone is worth what you would be paying her. The true value in working with her comes from having someone with so much heart and so dedicated in channeling all of her expertise in making the day special for you.

The ladies at Josefina Events are absolutely the reason why we were able to enjoy our wedding day instead of worrying about it. We got the Make My Day package and Dana was our head coordinator and Dorothy assisted her. Our guests later told us how lovely and helpful Dorothy had been and my mom still can’t stop talking about how helpful they were! Dana went above and beyond and even helped me use the restroom several times in my big dress :) She was totally there for us for everything we needed from even before our wedding to everything on the day-of. She felt more like a close friend than she did a vendor. We are so, so grateful for her :)
I was pretty flexible as far as the décor goes and they made it look FANTASTIC! My husband and I were blown away by just how lovely everything looked and how the day came together. We planned our wedding from Denver and having had Dana to go over everything with took a lot of stress off our backs. This was the best day of our lives and we were able to really enjoy it because the ladies handled everything that went on behind the scenes. I’m sure there were some glitches that we never found out about because these ladies are so good and so there for you! Initially we were hesitant on getting a day-of coordinator because of the extra expense but we are SO glad we did. We hands-down would not have enjoyed our day had we not had Dana and Dorothy taking care of ensuring that it was the best day of our lives :)

We live in Arizona and one of my concerns with planning an out of state wedding was knowing which vendors to use and not being there to coordinate with them. Josefina Events provided us with a long list of recommended vendors that were both awesome and within our budget. All of their recommended vendors were amazing and did a great job. Dana made our special day stress free and run smoothly. From the setup to the breakdown I did not have to worry about anything. I can't thank Dana enough for all the work she put into our wedding. It wouldn't have been a success without her. -

As a wedding DJ, I have worked with many coordinators and planners over the past few years, and I would easily say that Dana has been the best one I have ever worked with. I had the pleasure of working with Dana at this past weekend's wedding at Maderas Golf Club in Poway, and she helped make the whole event a huge success. She was organized, very clear in her communications, a pleasure to be around, and most of all followed through with everything she said. I usually like to be in control of the events I am at, but working with Dana was the first time where I trusted someone else to keep everything on track. She kept everyone happy, from the couple and their family to the staff and vendors. In fact I have never seen a couple so happy at the end of the night. I would definitely recommend Dana to any couples that are seeking an excellent event planner, and I am hoping to work with her many more times in the future. Excellent job! -

My review is much overdue. I married the love of my life on 12/12/15. A co-worker raved about her wedding planner and suggested I contact her to help with the planning. I hesitated, but after some thought, I decided to give it a go. I'm so glad I did because the moment I spoke with the girls from Josefina Events I knew I was in amazing hands. I was set up with Dana and from our first meeting, I knew she was a true professional. Dana truly set my mind at ease and helped me feel everything was under control. As my event got closer I became even more impressed with Dana. She sent me guides and checklists and offered such needed advice. I reached out to vendors and learned Dana had already contacted them and squared away the details. I was so impressed. On the actual day, Dana was by my side and took care of every last detail. It's amazing how organized and detail oriented Dana was. My day was spectacular and I owe so much of that to Dana. I would recommend Josefina Events to everyone I know. I would have been a mess without Dana. She was super knowledgeable, helpful, professional, funny, and sweet. She took the bull by the horns and made sure that my wedding went smoothly. We hired Laura and her amazing team (Dana and Gabi) for our wedding this past October 17, 2015. We hired her to help us with last month coordination and we were in contact with her even before the last month. She was always so open and willing to answer any questions we had. We knew we wanted to hire her as soon as we met her, you can tell right away from her personality that she will make sure things run smoothly the day of your wedding! I gave her a list of how we wanted things set up for our wedding reception and when we walked in there we were blown away! She and her team made our vision come to life!
I had Dana with us at our rehearsal and during our church wedding ceremony and she was so great! Of course, we were running a little late getting to the church but she was so calm (which calmed me!), made sure I wasn't seen beforehand, lined everyone up and made sure I looked my best walking down that aisle. It was such an emotional and important moment for me, I was so glad to have her there.. I literally felt like I had one of my best friends helping me that day :)
Long story short, our wedding day was flawless because of Laura and her team! If something went wrong that day, I didn't know about it. Everything seemed absolutely PERFECT. My husband and I continue to talk about all our favorite parts and we are forever grateful to all of them. Not only are they amazing at what they do, they are the sweetest people! We have no regrets hiring them and definitely highly recommended them to anyone looking for wedding coordinators :) -

Laura and her assistant provided us with an absolutely flawless and seamless day for our wedding. It was everything we envisioned and more. We couldn't have asked for a better planner or expected that she would go above and beyond to pull together our vision and make the day so memorable.
We hired her as a month of planner, and she really provided so much more assistance that what we hired her for. She replied to every question, email, and call in such an attentive and timely manner, she made sure to provide us with all of the information and knowledge we needed to make informed decisions about all aspects of our wedding and above all made us feel comfortable and secure in the decision we made.
On the wedding day, Laura brought together our wedding in the most beautiful and easy way possible and handled things that were really not in her job description, just to make sure our day was everything we wanted and stress free. To put it simply, Laura and her assistant performed magic and were truly amazing. I would highly recommend hiring Laura for your wedding or event, especially if you want it done right.

The team at Josefina Events are the absolute best! I would like to start out by saying I was very adamant about not hiring a wedding coordinator as our wedding was very DIY and we were hoping to keep costs low. However we realized quickly that this was a mistake and words cannot express how thankful we are that we came to our senses and found the wonderful ladies at Josefina. I am A-type, creative and a bit of a control-freak. Finding the perfect planner, someone I trust enough to plan my wedding, was a bit stressful. I interviewed 3 event planners before my meeting with Laura/Josefina Events. They were all impressive; there was this cute blonde with a Marcia Brady disposition, she sported a killer Kate Spade bag and a serious agenda that booked events up to 2017! I almost hired her. But then I met Laura... It took me only 15 minutes to realize she's 'the one', so I hired her on the spot. Full time. I'm sure Marcia Brady probably would have done the job right, but I'm also sure I would have just been another pencil marking in her calendar. Laura, on the other hand, made me feel as though I was the only Bride in the world, not just in that first meeting, the entire engagement. I had my wedding almost 3 weeks ago and it was flawless. At every opportunity Laura went above and beyond. The venue (which she found) was GORGEOUS, I could not have dreamt of a better place. The vendors (the food…the cake…the florist..etc)…all perfect. I had several people tell me how perfect everything was and how great my planner is. And best part, we stayed within budget.
Day of wedding - Laura (and Dana) = BOSS! While getting ready, I took a moment to observe how on-top-of-it they were… total ass–kickers. Laura thought of everything, lunch for me and the girls while getting ready…arranging a dog sitter for my little one…last minute heaters for the guest…a total problem solver. I was relaxed and blissful knowing I had the right girl to crack the whip. Thank you Josefina Events for creating my dream wedding! -

Laura was great. A true life saver. But more on that in paragraph2. We used Laura as our day-off coordinator. She was a referral from a friend who works with her. Laura met with us well in advance to get the details of the wedding and described her process. We felt comfortable that she would have our best interests at heart and she truly did. She was organized, as promised kept to the timelines she described. She was available and responsive when we needed her leading up to big day.
Then came the true value of Laura. On the day many things went wrong, as we now learned about weddings. We were using a venue that have a few buildings and we knew that we may have other events going on. We did however have the outside ceremony area booked for ourselves. Some of my family went to check it out a few hours before the event, and found that people were setting up Taco carts to serve food directly behind our ceremony location. Not ideal. We called Laura and she handled it! It wasn’t easy though. The vendor was very difficult, and Laura had to get the venue involved to move them so they could be in compliance with their contract. Thank you Laura! Then we had the food vendor from hell. The person failed to deliver on several of the contracted arrangements, including table set up, showing up with certain menu items, and breaking down the tables. Lauren was great, she and her assistant set up the tables, monitored the food, and she ended up ordering pizza to make sure we feed our guests (yes, we ran out, with 20 people not fed). She was awesome and dealt with all the problems.
So all in all, Lauren made the day a success. She went over and above what was required of her, was awesome to work with, really cared about us and our day, and followed up on what happened with the food vendor. She was worth every penny, and we would highly recommend her to anyone. -

We hired Josefina events for the partial planning service- as we don't know much at all about planning a wedding, let alone in our own backyard! The first time we met, she had a pretty good vision and a very enthusiastic attitude. During the planning stage, she recommended some really amazing vendors that matched our personalities and style; and when there're some hiccups with one vendor (which wasn't her fault), she made sure things are fixed FAST and we got the service we deserved from the vendor- she would jump on the matter whenever she feels her client is mistreated- so we don't have to stress over it :)
The day of the wedding, her team was punctual, PROFESSIONAL and friendly to all our guests. They helped set things up and break down efficiently throughout the evening. We had 2 dogs that Dana (one girl on the team) took really good care of during the wedding- which was a huge help as well!
I would recommend Josefina events to anyone I know. -

Laura is fantastic! When my husband and I were planning our wedding we decided that we weren't going to hire a wedding planner. I figured that the two of us were capable of finding vendors, negotiating contracts, etc. and that we may as well save the money of a coordinator. As we got closer to our event, though, it became evident that we were going to need someone to execute everything on the day of the wedding.
So we hired Laura as our day-of coordinator. Laura was great! Our reception was at the new Central Library in downtown SD. It was a beautiful but complicated venue because of all of the rules that they had. Laura was able to navigate all of that. Weeks before the wedding she gave us great recommendations on how to set everything up in the reception space. And she contacted every single one of our vendors prior to wedding to get everything coordinated.
On the day of our wedding my husband and I showed up at the reception and loved everything we saw. The space looked great, and Laura didn't miss a single detail. The day before the wedding I sent her an email explaining how we wanted the wedding favors set out on the table. It was perfect! She didn't miss a beat. And here's one thing I found out during the wedding: It goes FAST. It's like being an A-list celebrity for a night - you spend the entire night hugging people that you haven't seen in forever, taking selfies with your friends, dancing with your family, etc. It was such a relief to have Laura working behind the scenes making sure that everything went seamlessly. She created a timeline for us before the wedding and made sure that we got all of the big events in - the cake cutting, the bouquet toss, all of that!
Even though we saved some money on not having a full wedding planner, my husband and I aren't the type of people that enjoy planning all the details of a big event like a wedding. If that sounds like you, I would recommend hiring Laura as your coordinator from day one! -

I have never written a review for anything before but there is no way I could not write a review after working with Laura and her team, Dana and Gabbi. Laura made customized package for us because we were between month-of and partial. My only regret is thinking I could plan a wedding on my own and not finding her sooner. Laura and her girls absolutely went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. When we had a last minute crisis with our officiant she found us three great options a week before the wedding (not to mention it was the week of Christmas so contacting anyone was not easy!). Throughout the wedding planning experience I started feeling like with some vendors, once we booked them we were just another number. With Laura that was never the case. She genuinely cares about making sure you're happy and that your wedding is everything you hoped it would be. On my wedding day everyone kept telling me I seemed so calm and I can guarantee that would not have been the case if I didn't have Laura and her team there making sure everything ran smoothly. I can honestly say I would recommend Josefina Events to anyone who is planning a wedding. It will be the best money you spend on your wedding (especially given that she deserves wayyy more than she charges.) Laura was amazing with the creative side of things, she totally got my vision of a Gatsby-inspired vintage wedding without going over the top, but she is also practical, down to earth, and she will fight for you when she needs to! When my husband first met her at a meeting with our DJ he told me "good job picking our wedding planner, she is really smart." And he was so right. I'm in law school and I considered myself a pretty good planner and problem solver but she foresaw issues I never would have thought about. She is the reason our wedding was perfect. She is an amazing wedding planner and a truly kind person. The bottom line is you need Laura and her team on your side when planning a wedding! -

I totally loved working with Laura. She is charming, high energy, professional, and a real support to the mother of the groom! My son and daughter in law picked Laura to do "day of" wedding coordination. This included the rehearsal and day of the wedding. After our initial meeting with Laura I asked her to assist me in finding a venue for the rehearsal dinner. I worked with her on an hourly basis separately from her fees for wedding coordination. I live out of town and she was very helpful in giving me ideas about possible venues and themes from my very large (60 people) rehearsal dinner. I was able to ask her questions and advice, and she steered me in the right direction. It was money well spent to have her to talk to about all the details, even though I did the planning myself.
On the day of the rehearsal and the wedding, she was organized, flexible, and totally lovely to work with. She and her assistant Dana were on top of everything, and made it possible for me to relax and enjoy the wedding with not a care in the world.
I highly recommend Laura. It was great to work with her. -

Working with Josefina Events was the perfect decision for our wedding. Gabbi and Laura made it possible for my wife and I to create our dream wedding. Our wedding consisted of a lot of do-it-yourself ideas. They were able to take our ideas and create them into a beautiful wedding on the day of. They helped us to be practical and reasonable about what we could do, while allowing us to implement creative ideas. Most importantly, they were just great people to work with! They not only guided us through our wedding process but we were able to know them on a deeper and more personal level. We felt that they were truly invested in our wedding and our happiness! Both Laura and Gabi deserve all 5 of the stars I gave them. They were wonderful and refreshing to work with from beginning to end. I don't even know where to start. Josefina Weddings and Events was money well spent. Laura and her staff went above and beyond what we hired them to do. In our initial meeting, Laura said that she would give more than 100%. This wasn't a sales pitch. She was being honest and we couldn't be happier.
One of the reasons Laura started her own business was because a former employer wasn't comfortable working with same-sex clients. It takes a lot of integrity to leave a paycheck because of your principles. Laura displayed this kind of integrity with us over and over again.
There were times when things (that were out of Laura's control) were not working out the way we wanted them to work out. Laura handled every situation professionally. Her level-headed responses could calm any groom (or bride) to be. And I can't forget the best part: remember those problems that were out of her control and above her pay grade to fix? She would always come back having fixed them anyway, just because that's the kind of service that she offers.

Where can I start about laura? She is absolutely amazing. From the day that I met her, I knew she was the right coordinator. She knew what she was talking about and intuition told me she was good at what she did. I had been wedding planning for a long time and was burnt out. I initially hired for the day of, but then ended up hiring her for the whole month before the wedding. Laura takes care of everything. She calmed me down which was not easy because I am a type A personality control freak! Laura is a great coordinator because she always has your back and she will not let anything go wrong. She attended the wedding rehearsal the day before. The day of the wedding she made sure that the ballroom looked beautiful. She made sure that the groom didn’t see me the morning of the wedding. She is able to be in 10 different places all at the same time. She has eyes in the back of her head. I know she does! She was able to coordinate my huge bridal party. She even helped get the party started and got on the dance floor. She had an assistant named dana. She was very sweet and helped laura with many many many tasks. Both of them were at the wedding making sure everything was running on time and that me and the groom were catered to and enjoyed our day. Laura worked really hard not only the wedding day, but long before that. She is a great emotional support, wedding coordinator, and person. She is great at pep talks. We had many heart to hearts. I honestly do not know what I would have done without her. -

We just had a backyard wedding in June, and hiring Laura for our event was the best first step we could have possibly made in our wedding planning process. Both me and my (new!) husband are artistic, creative people, and we were willing to do a lot of things ourselves, like make our own invitations and menus, invent new cocktails, or come up with a list of the best dance songs. But when it came to the actual coordination, I knew that we would need help getting from point A to point B.
Enter Laura Magid! I researched several wedding coordinators in the San Diego area, and out of all of the people I called, Laura was the most warm and genuine. While one coordinator that I called laughed at my wedding budget (!), Laura was immediately receptive to our financial concerns; she would continue to give me money-saving tips for the entire time leading up to the wedding.
We hired her for partial planning, but this is a woman who goes above and beyond, whether you hire her for a year or a day of planning. She is so thorough and on top of things, that the entire planning process (and wedding itself!) went off without a hitch. If there ever were any problems, I have no idea about them -- she took care of everything like Wonder Woman.
I'm an independent lady who likes to do things herself, but I had NO idea what goes into a wedding! I like that Laura gave me plenty of space to figure things out for myself, but she was also available at any moment for any questions or things that I might have been forgetting.
Both my husband and I are very lowkey & go-with-the-flow people. Laura allowed us to be ourselves on our wedding day -- which is the best thing we could have hoped for. If you would like to relax throughout your whole wedding process and leave the little things to a warm, positive, and self-proclaimed "type-A" lady with a lot of event experience, contact her ASAP! -

After reading the super reviews from Josefina’s Wedding and Events on Yelp.com I contacted Josefina Events to see about her doing day-of-coordination for my wedding over the 4th of July weekend on July 5th. It was a 100 person picnic-style wedding and I had procrastinated about hiring a day-of-coordinator. I honestly thought my wife and I could handle everything on our own with the help of our friends - but we were so overwhelmed with the details I started to panic. My wife made all of the favors, centerpieces, et.c but didn't know how to create a layout or where things should go and what the timeline should be. When I called Josefina Events, Laura (the owner) was friendly and professional on the phone. She informed me that she was unavailable for day-of-coordination due to being booked already for another wedding but that her top event manager, Gabi, was available that day. I was a little hesitant to go with the second-in-command but Laura assured me that Gabi was her “right-handed woman”, was experienced, and would do a great job. Boy, was she right. Gabi was professional, personable, and ensured that all of the details of our wedding day ran smoothly – she was simply, ON POINTE. She handled everything with a smile – from managing the vendors, to setting up, to ensuring all of our wishes were met. I am so glad that I trusted Laura with Gabi’s capabilities because she really eased the stresses of my wife and I that day – allowing us to enjoy the most special day of our lives. To see my wife be so happy, enjoying all the compliments on her homemade decor and be able to simply wait for Gabi's direction that day made every penny we spent more than worth it. Not only do I suggest Josefina Events but if you can do it, upgrade to the month of. Now that I see what they are capable of I would have done that. 5 stars isn't enough. -

When I got engaged and knew we had to plan within 6 months, I knew I needed a wedding coordinator. I met Laura volunteering for a non-profit, the Princess Project. I saw how great and passionate she was in planning events. Also, Laura has a personality of a boss, and you need that type of coordinator when they are going to be managing all of your vendors. I knew that she would do a great job coordinating our wedding. We hired Laura as a partial planner and it was the best wedding money spent. Through the process of planning, Laura made everything stress free. Laura is professional, fast, and just simply on point. On the wedding day, everything went smoothly and we couldn't have been happier. We enjoyed our wedding so much and many of our guest complimented how smoothly everything went. Laura went above and beyond! I would definitely recommend Laura to all my friends who are getting married. -

Laura with Josefina's Wedding and Events was excellent! As the mother of the bride, I felt very lucky to have her to coordinate, plan and execute our daughters wedding at our second home in Coronado. She was very organized, had several suggestions for each type of vendor, and listened carefully to our wishes and concerns. She kept us on task during each step of the planning process as well as day of coordination during the wedding. I was very impressed with her knowledge of our wedding and her attention to details! She is on point and I would highly recommend her!!! -

Seriously, this was the best money spent on the wedding. I contacted Josefina Events for help "the day-of" for our small backyard wedding in La Jolla. Laura called me to discuss the details when I first inquired about her services 4 months prior to our wedding. She understood my vision of a small, intimate, non-traditional wedding. It took place in the backyard of a vacation home we rented so it was very DIY including the set up, clean up, timeline and flow. The cost for her services where beyond reasonable.
She checked in leading up to the wedding and helped out with vendor recommendations and time lines. Two weeks prior when things were getting crazy she coordinated the timing and confirmed the vendors I booked. Having booked everyone online and not actually meeting anyone beyond an email conversation- it was such a relief she was confirming all the details! Laura and her assistant, Gabi, were just fantastic and professional. When it came time for the rehearsal and the wedding day they took all the stress of the planning off our shoulders and ran the show.
This review could go on forever detailing all the amazing things that we didn't have to even think about because Laura & Gabi were there making magic happen. They really made a perfect day come together seamlessly and allowed us and our guests to really have a wonderful wedding weekend! -

We hired Laura to handle our week of wedding planning. This is not an easy task as the planner is coming in after all of the plans have been made. Laura managed all of the logistics, vendors and personalities so beautifully. I have to confess, I'm sure having us as a client was nerve wracking and challenging as I (the Bride) had been an event planner at the venue for many years. We hired Laura because I had worked with her on a few occasions and been incredibly impressed with her positive attitude, planning and logistical skills, ability to work well with others, to think strategically about an event and pay attention to the small details. It was wonderful to hand over our day to Laura and not think about anything other than enjoying being with friends and family. Laura is a gem. -

Laura is the best investment anyone can make while planning an event, let alone a wedding. Her connections, networking, and ability to coordinate is worth every single penny of the small in eat meant for ALL the work she does. Laura will go beyond your expectations and she will creat the exact and-even-better vision of what the couple wants. My investment with Laura paid for itself as she introduced me to amazing vendors! Without her, I would have probably spent twice as much and our wedding would have been hectic to keep up with. I had the utmost pleasure of working with Josefina Events on a recent charity event that benefited The Princess Project Organization. Laura M. donated months of her personal time (note – all this was Pro-Bono!) to help consult the organization’s Event Committee. It was because of Laura’s professionalism, assertiveness and impressive attention to detail that the committee had confidence in knowing the charity event would be executed flawlessly. Laura continued to set the bar high on each of the events deliverables and without a doubt; she exceeded all of our expectations! I also want to commend Laura for also being one of the most personable individuals I have ever met. Laura made my wedding day less stressful! She was on top of everything from beginning to end. She made sure that I was OK at every moment. From keeping me hydrated, to fixing my dress to making sure I ate and didn't faint! She directed all vendors plus event directors and made sure my guests were OK. I met Laura last year, while volunteering with The Princess Project. She planned and orchestrated a first-time event for this amazing non-profit. Let me tell you, it was beautiful and a great success. My first impression of Laura was "this girl has a lot of passion and she is a firecracker." I could see that Laura was a go-getter. She knows what she wants and she makes it happen. That's exactly how she approached Tea For Tiaras. Nothing was overlooked or under executed.
Laura has an amazing eye for detail. She has a vision from the moment she gets the details from her client. Then she runs with it! She not only finds the perfect style to compliment the taste and vision of her client, she takes it one step beyond. Laura thinks outside of the box and finds ways to bring a uniqueness to one aspect or another of any event. You feel as though you are being supported by a good friend and she really invests in her clients feelings and wishes.
The Princess Project has the pleasure of working with Laura once again. She is planning Tea For Tiaras for the second year and I am sure she has gone above and beyond, once again. We hired Laura as a day off coordinator and she was absolutely perfect. I didn't have to think of a thing on my wedding day nor did any of my family members or friends. It was completely stress-free. I tried to cut a few corners to save some money on my wedding and she was completely willing to work with me. If you have ever tried to do anything while saving money you know that you have to take care of a lot of details on your own. I had no idea how many details that would be. Laura helped me make sure I had enough of everything from servers and bussers, to garbage cans and bartenders. She knew which vendors were more cost effective and which had the best customer service. She found me my hair stylist who I love. She also handled my momzilla with class which is not easy to do. I know many coordinators are there to direct the other vendors only. But many coordinators stop there. Laura is different. She will do whatever needs to be done to ensure the day runs smoothly. I had a lot of set up to my wedding so she came two hours earlier than normal to make sure that everything was set up properly. But the greatest part is that Laura and I clicked on a personal level. I felt like I had a friend at my side and that made all the difference. -

"Dollar for dollar the best money we spent on our wedding!" That was the exact quote from my husband the day after our wedding regarding hiring Laura Magid. It took me a while to convince my husband we even needed to hire a coordinator, so I knew he was beyond impressed. I interviewed several other companies and there was no comparison to Josefina Events. Laura is responsive, knowledgeable, experienced, and charming.
Laura is so much more than a coordinator. At times she was a counselor, at times an artist, at one point a seamstress, often a guardian angel, and several times a magician. Laura's ability to remain sweet while being firm, incredibly fun while taking care of business, and remarkably calm during the most hectic of times is amazing. I was able to relax and enjoy the events leading up to the wedding and the wedding day itself because of Laura. I knew she had everything under control and she proved me right! I can't thank her enough for the time, effort and thoughtfulness she gave to me. I hit the jackpot finding Laura (and my husband agrees!). -

Laura is an expert at coordinating events. We have used her for several of the fundraisers for The Princess Project. She planned out first inaugural "Tea for Tiaras" fundraiser for The Princess Project- what a huge success. It included girls and woman of all ages and everyone had a great time...and no bumps at all during or before the party. I would highly recommend her for any type of event planning.
