We hired Joe & Kathrina for our engagement and wedding photos and they were so amazing to work with! Not only did they deliver stunning photos in a timely manner, they were so fun and easy going. We felt very comfortable around them where we often forgot photo were being taken. Throughout the whole process they were super communicative and overall a joy to work with.

My husband and I had our wedding in the middle of the pandemic by doing a drive-in movie styled event. We exchanged vows on stage while everyone stayed in their cars listening to the audio through their car radios. Afterwards we watched a movie on the screens just like a drive-in theater. We could not have pulled this off without the professionalism from Joe and Kathrina's photography who perfectly captured our personalities, made us feel comfortable and made it fun for us to be in front of a camera (something neither of us were used to) all while staying safe during pandemic protocols. They also did our engagement session and were so so helpful throughout the entire process of brainstorming ideas and pivoting when plans had to change. Thank you so much for making our day perfect and creating these beautiful photos so that we can relive our most perfect day over-and-over again :) We'd highly recommend them for any occasion, not just weddings but for memorable birthdays, anniversaries, company events, anything!!

Joe and Kathrina were absolutely amazing. Honestly, I truly believe they saved the day. We had put so much money and effort into planning this gorgeous wedding and of ALL days, Los Angeles decided to rain on OUR day. It never rains in September! I was mortified. If I could go back and change my attitude I would do it in a second, but when you’re in it you really don’t have much control over your emotions. Or at least I didn’t. Joe and Kathrina, from the second they arrived, calmed me down, made me laugh, and got those photos that when I look back make me completely forget about the rain. I had my ups and downs during the day but they stuck it out with me. They even drove us down Sunset after the reception to get some photos in our wedding attire at a local classic diner. We ate burgers and drank champagne, they captured our true selves…relaxed and a little tipsy. This lead to Joe capturing the moment I jumped into the pool in my wedding dress! I don't know many photographers who go that extra mile to make sure you have everything you could hope for in photos. It brings us so much joy to look back and think of the next life event we can have them capture in the future!

Joe+Kathrina shot our La Jolla wedding and desert engagement photos in the same week and did SUCH a beautiful job on both. Not only that, they also shot our wedding video. We were from out of town and knew nothing about the area, but they really came through on picking the best spots. I can't say enough good things about the work they turn out, and how comfortable they made us feel throughout the whole process. Recommend 100%.

My husband and I got in touch with Joe and Kathrina after they did the photography for a friend's wedding. I'm not a huge fan of a most engagement/wedding photos because they often seem stiff and posed and our friend's photos were not that way so I knew I had to meet their photographers. We knew right away that we wanted to work with them. They did our engagement shoot as well as our wedding and we couldn't be happier with how the photos turned out. Joe and Kathrina so genuine and authentic and they bring that out of you and your partner and make you feel so comfortable. They really captured us and there's not one awkward photo. Our wedding coordinator said things like "your photographers are going to make you walk down the aisle again to get more photos" and I'm so glad that we didn't hire those photographers. I look at our photos all the time and truly treasure them. I recommend Joe+Kathrina to anyone looking and would work with them again in a heartbeat! Thank you guys so so much!

Joe+Kathrina were the absolute best couple! We actually met them in NYC before deciding on having them shoot our wedding, and instantly knew they were the right fit for us. Neither of us feel we are very photogenic, and they couldn't have captured our natural happiness on our wedding weekend more perfectly. They even shot our pool party the day before which was such an extra special thing to do! It helped them get comfortable with the lighting on the property. Everyone at the wedding loved them, they fit in seamlessly, and the father of the bride raved about them for months and months after the wedding. They provided an amazing lay out for timing of how we would take photos with our large family. Taking photos out in the desert with just the four of us was such a highlight of our day truly. They are a breath of fresh air during a time when planning can be stressful. They reminded us to slow down and enjoy each other because they would capture the moments so beautifully. Can't recommend them enough!!!

Joe and Kathrina are so much fun, first of all. They really help awkward-in-front-of-the-camera folks (hello, that's me and my husband) feel comfortable and at ease, and they're just awesome people. But also, we were just blown away by how incredible our wedding photos turned out. They're phenomenal and really captured the urban-cool vibe we were going for. We stumbled upon them on Instagram and it was far and away the happiest accident we had while wedding planning. Hiring them was a no-brainer and one of the best decisions we made.

I cannot express how much my husband and I love Joe + Kathrina. From the first day we met with them we just clicked and knew we had to have them photograph our wedding. It was so important to us to have quality, natural looking photos from our wedding day to look back on and they provided just that.
