I am so sad they are closing! I got my prom dress here and then my wedding dress. Sue was amazing in knowing exactly what looked best and found me the perfect combination of veil and tiara (she could tell I was a tiara bride). I will miss this place but am forever thankful for sue for making the dress buying process a smooth one.

Great service reasonable prices and latest styles

Growing up in South Jersey, I always drove past Jay West and admired the dresses displayed in the windows, never thinking I’d ever be able to afford a wedding dress from the shop. Fast forward to Fall of 2019 when I began wedding dress shopping. Everyone at the shop was so nice and helpful (and willing to work within a budget). I didn’t think people really had a moment where they found “the dress” until I tried mine on and the tears flowed. It was perfect.

After my positive experience, my mother and mother-in-law visited the shop and both found their dresses too! Of course, Covid happened after we picked our dresses, but it didn’t deter us from coming back in the Summer of 2021 for dress alterations. We all had a different seamstress and all loved the outcomes of our dresses! Antionette did amazing work with my bustle. If you’re looking for a local dress shop willing to work within a budget, and with a variety of styles, as well as dresses for the moms (including those of all shapes and sizes), look no further than Jay West–it’s simply the best.

Even though I had a much lower budget in mind they didn’t make me feel like I couldn’t find something there. That is the feeling I got everywhere else. I ended up purchasing a sample for a fraction of the price and was able to get my size. Thankfully they have a better eye than I do because I declined the dress at first based on how it looked on the hanger. She politely convinced me to try it out and it ended up being the perfect one of the day. I made my purchase and walked out with my beautiful dress.

I have been going to Jay West for dresses since my prom days. Couldn't imagine getting my wedding dress anywhere else!

Can't say enough good things about my wedding dress experience. Sue and Melissa helped me find the perfect romantic dress, with custom blush and ivory colors, beautiful rose gold accessories and shoes. They were patient and really cared.

My mom also found her Mother of the Bride dress here, and she looked stunning.

I would highly recommend Jay West to everyone! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. You can tell they love what they do and they make you feel special each and every time you walk through the door. I was super indecisive when it came down to choosing THE dress. I probably went to 10 bridal salons and I even had 2 different appointments to looks for dresses at Jay West. During my appointments at Jay West, I can’t even tell you the number of dresses I tried on and they never seemed impatient with me (and I honestly couldn’t have blamed them if they were, I was getting pretty impatient with myself!). Once I found the one, it was a seamless and stress-free experience. Their seamstress, Kay, was a joy to work with. There were minor changes I wanted to make to the dress, and she executed them perfectly. I cannot thank Jay West enough for perfecting my ideal bridal look. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and I think everyone deserves to feel that way, so thank you Jay West!

I bought my dress from Jay West for my wedding that was on August 9th, 2019 at The Pen Ryn Estate. My dress is Essense of Australia Style #D2525, formal A-Line, sweetheart neckline, off the shoulder. I bought my dress in August of 2018 during the Summer sale. From the very beginning, the staff at Jay West was very kind, welcoming, professional, & extremely knowledgeable about bridal gowns. Jay West was the first bridal boutique that my family & I looked at for gowns, & we had a wonderful experience. They listened to my ideas & vision of my dress & helped me stick to my budget. After not having success with the first few dresses that were in budget, Patti asked if it was okay that she pulls a dress a little out of budget). It was the most beautiful dress that fit my body perfectly. Patti truly knew the type of dress I was looking for & I’m glad she pulled it. That takes a lot of skill & I really appreciated that. The dress really wasn’t that much over budget & my mom was so incredibly generous to buy it for me. I am forever grateful for that & that she also paid for the alterations. The staff at Jay West was always so accommodating to my family. I have a sister who is in a wheelchair & requires assistance getting up & down stairs. They were always helpful & accommodating. I didn’t always go downstairs for dress fittings & appointments. They would let us go to one of the fitting rooms upstairs instead of going downstairs. The staff remembered me & my family & always made a fuss when we go in. It was really nice to always be welcomed with a smile. My bridesmaids ordered their bridesmaid dresses at Jay West too. Janet was very helpful in helping us figure out what dresses I wanted & gave me great ideas. I wanted my bridesmaids to choose a dress that was comfortable for them, so she advised me that I give everyone a couple options which worked out well. She also helped me come to a decision on the color of my dresses. I was indecisive on colors & she gave me the idea to go with long black. It was the best decision! My alterations were done by Kay & she did an incredible job. She had to shorten it and take it in since I was losing weight & did that with no problems. She was so sweet throughout the entire process & made me feel comfortable each time. Kay also was happy to create a veil for me from my mom’s original veil. She did an amazing job & the veil is something I’ll cherish forever. Thank you to Kay for all the alternations you did for my dress & for creating the veil. I am still receiving so many compliments on my dress & how well it fit me. It is the most beautiful dress ever! Thank you to Melissa & Sue for helping me get my dress ready & helping me put it into my car when I picked it up for the wedding. I picked it up the day before because at my last official fitting, the sleeves needed a little extra altering & Kay was happy to do quickly, making every little detail perfect. I had such a great overall experience at Jay West & am proud to have gotten my dress from this local boutique. Their customer service is excellent – answering phones promptly & making sure all my questions/needs are met. I would recommend Jay West to anyone. You certainly will not be disappointed in the great quality of wedding gowns & the customer service. I would drive by Jay West almost every day when my husband and I were still dating. I always wanted to go there because the dresses in the window were so beautiful! This was the 3rd shop in 1 day that I tried. After the 2nd shop I was exhausted and felt defeated but when I got to Jay West I told them my budget what I was thinking I wanted and we walked around and picked out probably 20 dresses. The first dress I tried on I did not see before Cathy handed it to me...I walked out and instantly knew it was the dress. My family and MOH could see that it was the dress by my face. My MOH asked if I wanted to try on other dresses still - I said sure but never actually did. This was the dress. Cathy said that she knew right when she saw me that she wanted to have me try this dress on! They are amazing at Jay West! The dress was in my price point and we didn't go over! I loved it even more when I found out it had pockets! Honestly - they are professional and amazing - the seamstress is just as wonderful! Love love loved my experience and my dress!

I had a wonderful time selecting my dress in October. I saw a dress in the window and had a feeling about it but didn't ask about it until the end when my dress helper suggested it. Turns out, that was the one. We are going back to Jay West for my bridesmaids in February!! Super excited. :)
