The food and presentation were fantastic! It is no easy feat to serve 100 people and they pulled it off beautifully. We loved being able to serve local produce and appreciate that they prioritized it. My husband was particularly excited that we served mini loco mocos for appetizers. Loved working with the Island Fusion team and highly suggest doing a tasting. It was so fun! Like many people researching the island vendors, you may be swayed by the really low prices of another vendor but the food is nowhere near the level of Island Fusion and the professionalism goes a long way. It is well worth it to hire the right team and Island Fusion is awesome.

Like most people, we LOVE food and really felt that food was one of the most important parts of our big day, so we were nervous about choosing a caterer while living out of state and not being able to do any tasting prior to our event. Island Fusion far exceeded our expectations. From working on our menu, which they really understood and perfected with us, to the incredibly friendly service they provided, choosing Island Fusion was one of the best decisions we made. Our guests could not stop raving about the appetizers (I think the servers carrying the coconut shrimp and mini poke bowls were rushed and emptied within seconds every time they brought a new tray), the main course and the fresh malasadas at the end of the night. To hear “that was the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding,” or “I think that was my favorite meal our whole trip,” over and over, I think it’s safe to say you will not be disappointed by choosing Island Fusion!

From our tasting with my parents to the wedding reception, Chef Jonas and his team did a wonderful job providing food that was absolutely DELICIOUS at our pandemic wedding. We really appreciated that they were very flexible as we needed to adjust head counts at the last minute due to changes in gathering limits. Although we only had 30 people at our wedding, between vegan guests and picky eaters in our family, designing a menu that everyone would love was a real challenge. Chef Jonas worked with us to make sure that we had something for everyone from the appetizers to dessert, without breaking the bank or going overboard with too many dishes. We loved working with Island Fusion Catering and highly recommend them for anyone looking to cater a wedding or other celebration!

Island fusion catered my wedding and it was the best food I had during my entire stay in Hawaii. It was extremely kind that Jonas himself came over to introduce himself during the night. The filet mignon and sweet purple mashed potatoes were phenomenal. The coconut rice and seafood stuffed mahi mahi was to die for. All our guests were amazed by the taste of our appetizers, the pig roast and the display of the entrees. The staff during the wedding were great with checking up with my husband and me to make sure we were okay on food and water. It was much appreciated!

Our wedding planner recommended Island Fusion Catering to us and promised we would not regret it. She was so right! They nailed every single detail. From the presentation of the food, to the service, to the dishes themselves, everything was so perfect. It helps that they are also the kindest people and are so lovely to work with. If you are considering reserving them for an event, DO IT! You will not regret it!

Island Fusion is truly an incredible catering company run by an AWESOME chef and businessman, Jonas Joven. All of their reviews are so good that there isn't much that hasn't been covered. Obviously, the consensus proves .. the food and service is SPECTACULAR.. So I just thought I could add in some of the bonuses I experienced when having them cater my wedding. One of the first things I want to point out is how incredibly professional and kind Jonas and his entire crew was.  Most importantly, Jonas had  the most extreme PATIENCE with me.  As everyone reading this knows, planning a wedding is very stressful and a huge part of that stress revolves around wanting to make sure your guests enjoy themselves. Having Jonas in charge of one of the most important aspects of a FUN wedding meant I spent a lot of time bothering him with questions, requests, and changes to those requests. And through it all, Jonas remained calm and collected and never made me feel like my indecisiveness or insane ideas were too much to handle.  It is beyond my comprehension how Jonas is able to not only create a menu that is unique and customized to each event but to also maintain his pleasant stress-free attitude throughout the entire process!  Jonas is honest, sincere, and goes above and beyond for his clients. He spent more time on the phone with me than my wedding planner.. he even gave me better advice on issues that came up and various questions surrounding a wedding at Dillingham (as he had catered there many times before). And not surprisingly I felt more comfortable reaching out to Jonas for help than my own wedding planner!  It's not going to come as a surprise when I say that not only is the company pleasant and easy to work with.. the food is AMAZING. And the chefs, waitstaff, and bartenders were all super friendly and professional. Our wedding at Dillingham Ranch had 125 guests from all over the country. Jonas created a menu that incorporated my Husband's New England roots with my side's Hawaii and West Coast background.  We had pass apps that included mini crab cakes, poke bowls and avocado toast.  The entire wedding was outside and all the cooking was done on display at various stations scattered around where guests could mingle and be entertained by Jonas and his other talented chefs.  The menu covered all imaginable food groups (because I had too hard of a time narrowing down the menu)! The array of stations allowed our guests to walk around and converse while watching Jonas and his chefs grill and saute fresh and delicious seafood, steak and chicken with multiple salads and sides. We even added a fresh malasada (donut) bar alongside numerous gelato flavors. The compliments were endless!!  Another bonus I have to mention is that we had His/ Hers cocktails and various pre-ceremony beverages that required VERY detailed ingredients.. Jonas never once made me feel like a burden or a difficult bride when I came up with the idea to have these made basically the week of the wedding. He even called me while shopping for my event to give me the chance to load him up with all my crazy last minute wishes like obnoxious garnishes like rosemary sprigs and lilikoi seeds for ceremony cocktails! I then completely pushed the limits when I told Jonas and his bartenders days before the wedding that the His/Hers cocktails I wanted to do required some 15 ingredients and had to be presented in their own special glassware for guests to take home! Jonas was unbelievably cool about this and even made my giant wedding party cocktails as we got ready and taught the bar staff to create these “high maintenance” drinks for all 125 guests in a fast and efficient manner. We never had the dreaded Bar line which is the ultimate FAIL of a wedding. One last thing I have to mention is that when it came time to clean up after the wedding Jonas and his guys did it ALL.. My wedding planner was bossy and entitled and gave them WAY too much to handle in the clean up process. What she left them with was a nightmare that was in no way their responsibility. Instead of leaving things behind or trashing it as my wedding planner did, Jonas packed up leftovers and delivered the extra souvenir glassware to our house on the other side of the island the next day. This is what I'M TALKING ABOUT!! There really isn't a better catering company on Oahu than Jonas and his crew at Island Fusion.  By choosing to go with them (for both catering and bar service!)  you will have saved yourself from one of the biggest headaches in wedding planning!!! Delicious, beautiful and unique! Everything was great from our pass appetizers to our buffet dinner. Our wedding guests were raving about the food! And the staff was just amazing, and they made sure we always had what we needed! Highly recommend Island Fusion for any event!!

We could not have hired a better caterer for our wedding! Jonas met with us to discuss our menu choices and our tasting was amazing. The food is delicious and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. Our guests could not stop complimenting the food!
