We had our rehearsal dinner at Il Porto in June and it was the perfect spot to gather and celebrate with family and friends. Prior to booking our rehearsal dinner we had a wonderful meal at Il Porto. Kevin made it easy to book and create the dinner we really wanted. For the rehearsal dinner we had the entire upstairs area to ourselves where there was a full service bar. Family and friends were able to enjoy appetizers and drinks upon their arrival. While we had an open bar, waiters were also coming around with wine to refill guests. Dinner was a plated meal where guests were able to chose from the menu we selected. They were given 4 entree choices and 2 desserts. All of the meals were excellent and made the dining experience wonderful. We highly recommend just going for a casual dinner or for hosting an event.

We held our rehearsal dinner at Il Porto and we absolutely loved it! We wanted a place in Old Town that would fit our budget, and gave us a cozy atmosphere. Kevin really worked with us and our budget and offered us most of the upstairs setting. The food was excellent and all our guests raved about it. The service was a little slow, but we were a large group and it gave us more time to mingle. Would highly recommend for your event!

We utilized Il Porto for our rehearsal dinner. We love eating dinner here in general but they had the best price in Old Town if you are looking there for your rehearsal dinner. Kevin is very service oriented and knows what he is doing. Guest loved the food and the wine. Definitely would recommend.

We had our ceremony in December 2016 and Kevin the event coordinator was very helpful and listened to what we wanted. The food and decor of the restaurant made our special day even greater and beautiful. Food was delicious, bread was soft inside and crisp outside. I highly recommend ILPorto for dinning and events.

I searched for caterers that would fit within my budget of 5K for a wedding of 120 people and just could not find anything in that budget even with using disposable utensils. A friend of mine mentioned that restaurants were often a more affordable option and with less hassle. I was able to feed 120 people with food, linens, silverware, plates, glasses and service and service fees all within my budget. The restaurant is in the heart of Old Town Alexandria and provided the intimate feel that we wanted for the wedding. The food wasn't superb but what wedding caterer does provide 5 star quality food. The food was still well worth the price. We were able to rent the entire upstairs and even fit a DJ there! The managers were really accomodating and laid back. Since we had cupcakes instead of cake we didn't have to pay a "cutting fee." We just had the guests go up for desserts whenever they wanted to. I was very happy with how everything turned out. The only down side is that the only bathrooms in the restaurant are upstairs so you may have random people coming up to the floor during your reception to use the lieu. To be honest I didn't notice it all since I was having such a great time.

Great venue - the upstairs room was perfect for our rehearsal dinner and the food was excellent.
