Best videographers ever!!! At first I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted in a videographer crew for my wedding, but the more I worked with Alex and Jim, the more I realized they were exactly what I needed. They captured our love story in an authentic, beautiful, uniquely us way, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
The process:
My husband and I felt so at ease working with them and knew they’d have our back through the entire process. We could just let them work their magic while we truly lived our wedding day in the present - the greatest gift of all! Communication was top-notch, and I quickly felt like I could be myself and gush about my now husband in front of them because their investment in and respect for our love story was obvious. Even my husband who is camera shy opened up super easily with them. And as a very sentimental person, I felt completely confident that they’d capture the depth and sentiment, as well as playfulness, of our relationship.
They went above and beyond and I’m so incredibly grateful that our beautiful wedding day has been captured by these two artistic, intuitive, easy-going, joyful, and love-story-in-tune folks.
The film:
It surpassed all expectation. They somehow captured all that I wanted AND created a magic in the film and the capturing of the day that I didn’t know I needed or was even possible. Amidst the amazingly blended audio, the emotional tone setting, and the guest highlights, their work had my husband and I shining in a way I’ve never seen before. I laugh and cry every single time I watch it, and loved ones that couldn’t make the wedding truly felt like they were a part of it when they watched the film.

Huckleberry Studios was the second vendor we hired for our wedding, and words CANNOT EXPRESS how incredible they are in storytelling, relatability, and professionalism. If you’re actively searching, please start by going to their website and sending them an email to get to know them. It really is worth it.

To start, I met the two of them at an event called The Big Fake Wedding. They had recently both moved to Austin, and really were personable and kind on our first initial meeting. I came home and told my husband, and said let’s hop on a call.

So we met them during our initial consultation over the phone, and we started to really vibe around board games and mutual favorite movies. It was clear they are a really freaking cool couple, and it made it easy to connect with them both on a personal level. Off the jump we booked them as our second vendor.

What happened next is just every wedding planning couple’s dream. It was the constant communication, the messages to jump in and help, the persistence to learn more about our story, and the masterful execution of communication.

The wedding day came and despite how fast the day goes, Alex and Jim really just fit in with ease, capturing the excitement, the nervousness, the anxiety, the joy, the laughter, and the tears. We love that they highlighted all the emotions we both felt that day, and that’s just the sneak peek! (Which by the way came the week after our wedding! So fast and literally playing on repeat as we type.)

Throughout the year in wedding planning, we really felt that Alex and Jim both cared about telling OUR story in OUR way. And we’re both youngest children, really stubborn, and loud. It’s not easy.

But after all that, I’d EASILY choose Alex and Jim to retell our story any day.

We hired Alex and Jim to be our wedding videographers after spending a lot of time deciding if we even wanted a videographer in the first place. The first good sign we had was that we became a little emotional watching the videos of other couples (complete strangers!). In talking with Alex before moving forward, we loved how candid she was about all things videography. And then, in receiving our final video... We. Were. Blown. Away. Literally every person we know who watched our wedding video told us that it was the best one they'd ever seen. Literally. This speaks volumes and 10/10 would recommend.

Hiring Huckleberry was absolutely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we truly could never say enough about just how awesome Alex and Jim are. We were one of the many couples who went back and forth on having a videographer at their wedding, and who thought that they probably didn’t need one. Now, a couple of months after our wedding, we are SO GLAD that we came around. Our wedding video is so much more than we ever could have hoped for, and we routinely talk about how thankful we are, both to have gotten to work with Alex and Jim, and to have such an incredible memorial of our wedding.

Alex and Jim immediately felt like friends. They were fun and easy to chat with, and it was so clear just how much they care about you, your wedding, and making sure that your priorities and goals for the video are being met. It really meant a lot to us that they cared so much.
Huckleberry goes above and beyond in every way. They got sunset footage the day before our wedding, sunrise footage the morning of our wedding, way before any of us were awake, and captured every important moment from the day perfectly.

Absolutely our favorite vendors from our wedding, we can't imagine having gone with anyone else. We truly felt so cared for, so seen, so heard, and received the most incredible wedding video we will cherish for the rest of our lives. They caught every piece of the day, and most importantly told our story in such a beautiful way, you would've thought they'd known us for years. Booking Huckleberry is one of the best decisions you can make while you're wedding planning. Prepare to receive all their attention including snail mail with treats and wedding day emergency kits. They even attended our final walk through of our venue and made for an extra advocate and pillar on our day so we truly didn't have to worry about anything. There is no question, no one is better than them at what they do.

Initially, we weren’t planning to hire a videographer because we didn’t think it was necessary. But we decided to reach out to a couple videographers to see if we’d connect, and let me tell you—Alex and Jim blew us away! They are the most down to earth couple and they really got to know us and our story. They made it seem like we’ve been friends with them forever! Not only did they film our wedding day, but they came to our venue the night before to get sunset shot and they came back in the morning to get sunrise shots! These two are hard to beat and I’d HIGHLY recommend them!

Let me start by saying that I’m a videographer so while I imagined finding a videographer to entrust my wedding with would be difficult, choosing Alex and Jim to be a part of our day was the easiest decision I could have made. The planning process was flawless—we met to discuss the vision of our day, discussed types of music we like, and communicated pretty consistently throughout a nearly 2-year engagement (and a pandemic). Alex helped with our itinerary to be sure that we left enough time to get everything we’d need visually without feeling rushed. We pre-recorded our vows while getting ready which was not only great practice, but probably one of the most important things we did all day because it was extremely windy during our ceremony.

We expected a wedding video, but got a cinematic masterpiece that perfectly encapsulated all of the details, emotion and love we felt on our wedding day. Alex and Jim’s attention to detail, professionalism and calming presence made for an absolutely perfect day, and even better opportunity to relive our wedding through video. I’d do it all again just to be able to work with Huckleberry again!

Alex and Jim were amazing to work with from the moment we were in contact. Most of my communication was through Alex who was incredibly responsive to any and all of my questions leading up to and even after our wedding day!
As they are a newer company in the wedding industry, anyone would be hesitant to book such an important vendor without a ton of examples to view. Let me tell you, meeting with them and hearing about their extensive background in film put all of my fears to rest and boy oh boy am I SO THANKFUL they did our wedding videography! Not only is my film a masterpiece, but they were extremely easy to have around and felt like friends! I highly recommend their services to anyone who wants a charming video to look back on. I am floored with their attention to detail (especially how well they meshed with our guests - we hardly noticed them around!) and still captured the best, most important moments!
