In the course of its long and storied history, the venue has played host to a number of illustrious guests. John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, Louis Armstrong, and many more have all been welcomed in their time. The Hotel Baker is delighted to host ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. The venue’s facilities can accommodate small gatherings of 10 and grand occasions involving up to 300 guests. You are invited to make use of any of the indoor and outdoor event spaces that the hotel has to offer. The Rainbow Room’s sumptuous blend of 1920s decadence and modern comfort is a wonder to behold. This oval-shaped room features a lovely tiled dance floor, columns of deep mahogany, and a balcony that spans the circumference of the room. The ceiling is ornamented with a beautiful round skylight. In the Waterfront Ballroom, graceful chandeliers drop their light in honeyed beads upon the marble flooring and wait to welcome cozy celebrations. Outside, the Rose Garden is a Wonderland of neat hedges and radiant colors. Here, you can hear the soft crunch of gravel as you stroll arm-in-arm with the person you love. Later, enjoy a quiet moment together as you look out at the lapping waters of the Fox River.
