While you may initially think you are simply getting a wedding coordinator when you hire Maura, she will quickly become your best friend. She is a true professional and so much fun, to boot. Maura knows anything and everything about planning weddings, all the way down to the fine print etiquette you (and your family) will undoubtedly need help with. She was available by call/text/email whenever I needed her during our engagement. She seamlessly coordinated everything with our vendors, sent me updates and did all the heavy lifting, leaving me and my husband the opportunity to actually enjoy our engagement and not have to stress about details. Having her around the weekend of immediately put me at ease. She kept everyone fed, happy and on time. She was there to take care of everything we forgot to and even made sure to collect all our personal belongings from the reception and have them taken up to our room at the end of the night. Our wedding was stunning and personal and our guests had the best time. I highly recommend Maura and her expertise!

Maura Scarmack is the best of the best of wedding planners. She truly is a friend after going through this process with her! I got married at the Diana at the Biltmore and it was the most magical day thanks to her! She is truly worth every penny you pay her and so much more! Maura is absolutely amazing! I hired her for "day of" event management of my wedding at the Biltmore Estate, but she went above and beyond in helping me prepare for my day months in advance. I planned my wedding from the other side of the country, so I had a lot of details that I couldn't manage in person and Maura helped take care of every little thing. She was great on the day of and my wedding went off without a hitch! Even when I forgot my guest book in the car and had no idea where my keys were - she told me not to worry, found my keys, found my car, and even put my keys back in my room for me that evening. She was absolutely amazing and I would work with her for any event I had in the area again.

Maura was great to work with. She's organized, professional, and detail-oriented. She was the perfect event planner for our wedding at the Biltmore Estate on 9/20/14. She met with us in person, and corresponded with us via email and phone as we worked to plan our wedding. I felt so comfortable to have Maura handling the details of our wedding. It was the morning of August thirtieth. I awoke to a beautiful sunny morning looking out over the estate of Biltmore, a day I would soon not forget. After the hair, make-up and preparations were complete, I was taken to the gardens to meet with my soon-to-be husband for a pre-wedding photo shoot. What a terrific idea it was to help relieve some of the butterflies for the both of us before the ceremony! Shortly after, our guests began to arrive to the classical sound of a string trio, the sights and scent of beautiful flower arrangements and all the wonderful decorations for the festivities ahead. The ceremony was short and simple, suited to our taste, but none the less personal and beautiful. Little did our guests know what lay ahead. A mystery dinner theatre, acrobats, jugglers, fire breathers and music late into the night! Most definitely a unique wedding for all to enjoy and remember! Maura of Honey Darling Events was a complete and utter joy to work with. She of course knows her stuff (vendors, prices, planning ideas, fun touches), but she also brings with her a warm attitude that just puts you at ease - she made the entire wedding planning process so easy and fun for both me AND my husband (and both the mothers, too actually - not always an easy feat!) She's creative, friendly, knowledgeable, conscientious of budget and taste and is just a great person to have help plan your wedding (or any event).
