Sitting atop approximately twenty-three acres of picturesque Devon countryside, the exquisite Main Line estate known as Hilltop House includes grand formal gardens, fountains, apple orchards, and sloping meadows. The elegant mansion, home to several prominent Main Line families, was built in 1894 and renovated for public use in 2005. Generous rooms with multiple entryways provide easy traffic flow throughout the spacious wood-paneled interiors, verandas, and terraces. The mansion can accommodate up to 135 guests. The large formal gardens provide the perfect setting for outdoor wedding ceremonies. Long admired as a private estate, Hilltop House is now excepting reservations for weddings and special events.

Your own private estate
The venue was simply taken out of a storybook. Whether you choose to use the secret garden out front or the open vista backyard you are truly in for a treat. This is a diamond well hidden, your own house with the added treat of having enough space set aside for the groom to get ready in as well. No excuses for him being late here. The care and love that has been put into here you can see and as Deb Diehl took me around I could truly feel this would be MY wedding and for that day MY house. A Perfect Setting indeed for those who take the opportunity to reach out and grab it. I certainly recommend the location and Perfect Setting before the rush hits for such a gem in the Devon area. The pictures most certainly do not encompass this wonderful venue.Sent on 01/24/2020

Sandy, you're the best!!!! :)Sent on 08/04/2012
We absolutely LOVED this place! It was gorgeous! We wanted something different than your typical reception hall. Hilltop House is a converted 200 year old farmhouse/mansion that sits on twenty some acres of land. The view is incredible. Every room in the house is beautiful (and there's a gorgeous staircase that winds down). Hilltop has a great terrace that overlooks the view of rolling hills. We were able to set some tables our there, as well as a bar and our crudités and fruit display. Our guests loved it. Many of our guests spent time out there enjoying drinks and the view.
Our caterer found it easy to set up. We had buffet stations and they fit perfectly in the big garden room. Our DJ set up in the front/main room and we had our desserts in the library room. Our guests were seated in the Great Room, which was perfect for the amount of people we had. Everything looked amazing. With a place like Hilltop, you have some flexibility with how you want the place to look. We even brought framed pictures of us and set them up in various spots (above the mantles on the fireplaces, shelves, etc). EVERYONE commented on how beautiful the place was. We HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking to get away from the usual. And best of all... Sandy is great. He was flexible with us and allowed us to come and visit multiple times to make sure we knew where we wanted to put things, set up, etc. I think I may have called him 20 times easily. Thanks for everything Sandy - you made it easy and fun. :)
