We began planning our wedding about 18 months out and initially spoke with Emily - she was truly our dream planner. At the time, though, we decided to go with a lower-priced option, since Emily only offers full service, end to end planning, which we thought was more than we needed. That turned out to be a mistake. The planner we chose instead was a disaster for more reasons than I can count (though this isn’t a review for her). By January, just eight months before our late August wedding, we knew we had to make a change. We reached back out to Emily, and within two days she was on a plane to meet us, get our catering tasting back on track, and start untangling the mess. Once we officially signed with her, Emily took the reins with eight months to go. She wiped the slate clean, keeping only a few of our original vendors, and completely reimagined our design. She handled every contract and all communication, looping us in only when she needed our input, and checking to make sure the direction still felt right. Otherwise, we barely had to lift a finger. Friends and family kept asking if we were stressed, because that’s what they expected, but we were oddly calm throughout the entire planning process. We had regular check-ins with Emily along the way, and she kept budgeting info up to date in her wedding planning software. This allowed us to log in and double check how planning, budgeting, and payments were progressing at any time.

(I can’t tell you how many friends gawk when we tell them that wedding planning was…fun.) Some of the many highlights of working with Emily:

- We rented out a small resort in Palm Springs for the wedding. That meant that a single venue had to execute on several fronts: hospitality, guest services, food, liquor, setup, etc. The venue wouldn’t have been able to pull off our flawless event without Emily and her team. They came in and picked up slack without a word. If there was drama behind the scenes, we never knew about it; Emily is that good.

- Emily’s network of vendors is spectacular. We hired every single vendor she introduced us to, including photographer, bakery, floral and rentals. This is a HUGE overlooked point of stress in planning a wedding. Navigating tons of quotes, levels of service, and disclaimers is not fun. Emily made it fun. She curated the best vendors for our vibe and budget. (She also has excellent taste which meant we were comfortable deferring to her judgment whenever we were over it.)

- The night before the wedding, our families were meant to assemble gift bags which would be distributed to guests upon check in. We were unable to finish the gift bags before our first welcome party started. Emily drove to our pre-wedding Airbnb, loaded hundreds of semi-completed gift bags into her car, and took care of it without a word. The bags were magically ready and distributed the next day. Again: this could have been a major stressor at the outset of our wedding, and Emily transformed that stress into delight.

Seriously. Hire. This. Wedding. Planner. You will thank yourself a hundred times over. Emily will turn your vision into a reality, hit your budget, and make you laugh every step of the way. She is the reason that planning and attending our wedding was a spectacular experience. Thank you, Emily!

Where do I even begin? I LITERALLY can not gush about Emily enough and I don’t know that my review can do how amazing she is justice, but I’m going to try. I knew I wanted to hire her before I was even engaged. I’d worked with her on weddings as a vendor in the past and she has always been great to work with from that side, and our experience with her as our planner was no different. Emily is, hands down, one of the best wedding planners I know. She runs a tight ship and is incredibly straightforward, efficient, and knowledgable. Her eye for design is unmatched. I talk about our MASSIVE mood board that she put together for us constantly because it was absolutely incredible and helped give not only us, but our vendors a clear look into what we were planning and what our design vision was for our wedding day (this was my favorite part). Her budget management system was absolutely everything and helped us stay on track, and she even had a 3D floorpan for us to work with when it came to table assignments that was so easy to work with. She put together a thorough timeline for our wedding day, and walked through that timeline with us and our vendors and made sure everyone was on the same page. She took these tasks that could have felt like climbing Mount Everest to complete and made them easy and manageable for us. I thought I would be the *chill bride* after having been in the wedding industry for nearly 13 years, but after having an all-day mental breakdown over table linens and what colors I liked best, I knew I was not the chill vibes I aspired to be. Emily walked me through and kept me calm throughout this particular mental breakdown in addition to the entire planning process *while also* making sure that I felt heard and understood . She talked me down off of so many ledges and even took things off of my hands when they felt like too much (like figuring out and booking hotel blocks). Within 48-72 hours of our wedding, we ran into a number of little fires (as every wedding does, I’m sure) that Emily seamlessly put out without missing a beat. As I was running around and stuffing our car for the trip to our hotel, Emily was having extra menus that were missed overnighted from our designer in Michigan, handling rentals arrivals, managing our vendors, and then even running through our ceremony rehearsal via facetime since myself, my husband, MoH and parents were stuck in gridlock traffic. On the day of, my husband and I were SO comfortable with Emily running the show and everything ran perfectly. She never gave off anything but a relaxed and professional energy (I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to have calm and collected folks surrounding you) and my family and bridal party loved her, too. I can not imagine planning or having our wedding day without her and I can’t imagine how chaotic things would have been without her. I would hire Emily 100 times over. I adore her and we can not thank her enough for everything she has done for us

Emily is at the top of her game. We interviewed quite a few planners and are so happy we went with heartthrob. She left no stone unturned. A consummate professional and executed a wedding that surpassed all expectations. It's been two weeks since our dream-come-true Heartthrob elopement and we're still pinching ourselves.
