Grand Ponce Events at Flagler College is a wedding venue in St. Augustine, Florida. The glamour of a grand historic ballroom. The charm of an elegant Southern estate. The grace of a stately and contemporary art gallery. A window-lined rooftop stateroom overlooking downtown St. Augustine. Flagler College presents multiple unique, show-stopping venues for your unforgettable day.
Flagler College is opening up these historic and rarely-touched venues to the public for weddings, galas, private dinners, and more. Guest counts may range from an intimate elopement of 2, to a 300-guest celebration.
The dates of availability are typically between Late-May to Early-August, based on the student’s academic calendar. We are also offering a few dates in Late-December to Early-January.
Grand Ballroom - Lined with Tiffany Windows and Italian Fresco Ceilings, the Ballroom is one of the most opulent venues in all of Florida. The Ballroom seats up to 250 guests, 300 with rentals and moving fees; also includes the breathtaking Rotunda Lobby & Courtyard for Cocktail Hour. Available during the College's summer & winter breaks only.
Solarium - This historic rooftop venue boasts the most spectacular views from the fourth floor overlooking downtown Saint Augustine. This venue seats approximately 120 max, 70-80 with a dancefloor; includes gold chivari chairs and round tables. Available on select dates throughout the year!
Add a Rotunda Ceremony to a Solarium Rental for up to 120 seated guests; Available during Summer/Winter breaks only.
Ponce Hall Rotunda - Guests will enjoy the dramatic gated entry through the Courtyard into the historic Ponce Hall. Ceremony may take place in the round lobby, cocktailing in the Courtyard, prior to dining on the second floor of the Rotunda, which seats up to 120 with chivari chairs and round tables. Available as a reception venue during the winter break only.
Crisp-Ellert Art Museum - Simple and Classic, this venue boasts indoor seating and outdoor gardens with spanish tile and exposed beams. The Museum can house both an indoor ceremony & reception for 96 guests. Available during the College's summer & winter breaks only.
Markland House - Equisitely Southern Greek Revival-Style home with magnolia and oak trees centrally located in downtown St. Augustine. Markland offers four distinctly historic rooms to host an intimate celebration around 70 guests. Available year-round on pre-selected weekend dates.

I don’t even know where to begin with how amazing our experience was. Let me start by saying, this was the second time we planned our 2020 covid wedding, so I already had experience with other vendors. This time we decided on a micro wedding. We chose this venue sight unseen, and let me tell you, it is GORGEOUS. Photos do not do it justice. The service and food exceeded ours and our guest’s expectations. Deana was amazing, responsive, and friendly. She went above and beyond to find a special Italian pastry we wanted for our day.
We had family from all over, NYC, DC, Boston, Denver, they have access to amazing food on a daily basis, everyone was impressed with the quality of the food and the service. I wish we had photos to post but everyone was too busy enjoying the food and stunning venue to take pictures of it :)
Hannah, our on site coordinator was very responsive as well. She too went above and beyond to make sure there was sufficient wifi available (where there usually was not wifi access) so we could live stream our wedding for friends and family.

Wedding venue review
I had my wedding here in March 2024, Hannah and her team were nothing short of spectacular. She was patient, thorough and meticulous with helping plan our event. She had excellent suggestions for vendors as well as other special details to add to our event. The whole team was very responsive to texts and emails, which is so helpful. Our wedding day went off without any problems. The food was excellent as well. Would absolutely have our wedding here again😊

Dream Come True
Getting married at Flalger College was a dream of mine the day I realized it could be used as a wedding venue. While my husband and I didn't tie the knot on campus, we did have the Markland House as our reception venue. Flagler's event and catering teams were amazing and really helped make our vision come to life, especially when they offered their input on some of the smaller details based on experiences in the past during a planning call with our coordinator. That assured me I was working with people who really knew what would make sense versus what wouldn't. I appreciated that 100%.

Flagler College Wedding
Where do I begin? Our wedding was magical because of the team at Flagler College! The coordinator Hannah went about and beyond and made every detail perfect in every way! Deanna, the catering manager prepared the most beautiful brunch and dinner and all of our guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had. It was perfect in every way!! Highly recommend!!!

The facility rental and catering team at Flagler College is exceptional. Working with them was an amazing experience. They have the ability, willingness, and expertise to customize every detail of your event. We were really impressed by how nimble the team was in adjusting to our vision and how helpful their recommendations were to make our event super special. Every member of the team has a great amount of experience in organizing large events in North Florida and has an extensive network in the area for helping provide you with recommendations for any and all of your needs. All of their services and products are performed at the highest quality. They hold themselves, their team, and quality of the event to the highest standards. On top of it all, they are an extremely nice group of people to work with and we enjoyed working with them through every step of the process. They are very quick to respond and set up meetings and every time we engage with them it is very productive. We give them the absolute highest endorsement.

We had our wedding reception at the Ponce De Leon Ballroom. The entire evening was absolutely magical, a fantasy come true! We booked with them a year in advance. Tanya was extremely accommodating, and was available for everything. We are so thrilled with exactly how perfect our entire reception was there!

Wedding Client - Bride
Flagler (and the amazing Hanna) helped create a dream wedding. They helped navigate our special requests leading up to the event and provided professional attention to all details the day of. The staff was amazing on the wedding day, even the security guard was outstanding. It was such a pleasure working with Flagler throughout our planning season. No matter the issue, Hanna was always so willing to explore the answers and find solutions (even while on her maternity leave!) Hanna and her staff were the epitome of professionalism and confidence no matter the circumstance. It was so easy to communicate, Hanna and her team were very responsive. And of course the venue is spectacular and beauitful, but without Hanna and her team our wedding wouldn't have been the AMAZING day it was!
