If you’re looking for a charismatic, dedicated, experienced, professional, and caring wedding planner to help you plan your special day, then you have come to the right place! I met Cynthia, the owner of Garnet and Sapphire, several years ago through a mutual friend. At that time, I had no idea she was a wedding planner. I found this out later once my friend informed me Cynthia was helping her plan her wedding. As a guest at my friend’s wedding, I can honestly say that the wedding was flawless-or at least it appeared that way. If there was anything that didn’t go according to planned, no one would have known because of how well and beautifully the event flowed.
With this in mind and knowing what an amazing person Cynthia is, my husband and I decided to hire her for our wedding. This was one of the best decisions we ever made. I cannot underscore the importance and significance of a good planner as it truly enhances your event. You may think you don’t need assistance planning your wedding, but it’s one of the best investments you can make for your day. There are so many details and things you may not think need to be planned or scheduled, but in reality, they do. This is where your wedding planner comes in.
Cynthia is someone you can trust to make your day exactly what you want. She genuinely cares about your vision and wants her clients’ weddings to be magical. Her organization and attention to detail are unparalleled and she will go above and beyond to ensure your day runs seamlessly. Given her time in the industry, Cynthia is well integrated with other Southern California wedding vendors. In the early planning stages, she assisted us by helping us find reputable vendors to ensure we had people we could rely on and trust. We ended up booking several of her vendor recommendations. None of them disappointed and all were excellent to work with! This was especially important to us because our wedding was rescheduled multiple times due to COVID and there was a lot of uncertainty. All of our vendors, including Cynthia, stood by us at one of the most stressful times in our lives. Despite dealing with her own challenges, Cynthia always maintained a positive attitude and made herself available to talk as we waited out COVID. She maintained awareness on all of the restrictions impacting San Diego and Riverside Counties (our venue was in Temecula, but we had a lot of San Diego-based vendors), so we were fully aware of how things were looking and what could potentially impact our day. Having Cynthia there helped guide our decisions when it came to rescheduling along with any other changes that had to be made. We could not have navigated that without her and I cannot express how much it meant/means to us. Even more impressive, Cynthia remembered every detail related to all of the choices we made as it relates to our vendors. This was after two years of the planning process when I couldn’t even remember some of the decisions we made given the significant amount of time that had passed. She stayed on top of it!
Additionally, Cynthia went out of her way to be at all of our important vendor meetings, so she could help us pick out our food, décor, and design items. With our venue being newer, she came to all of our meetings with our Venue Coordinator to see how the décor and scenery at the venue developed over time, especially with the COVID delays. We chose our venue in January 2019, but didn’t end up getting married until August 2021. A lot had changed at the venue from the time we initially saw it. Being mindful of our budget, Cynthia also lent us a lot of décor items she has in her own collection so that we didn’t have to spend additional money on things just to get the details we wanted. She is extremely conscientious about making sure you’re comfortable with what you’re spending and happy with what you’re spending it on. She also knows how to take all of the little details in your head and incorporate them into the big picture. Having a wedding planner that excels in design is an added bonus!
Communication was/is something that was very important to my husband and I. This is something you will never have to worry about with Cynthia. She is very responsive to phone calls, text messages, and emails, usually responding within a couple of minutes, but at most a few hours. If she didn’t have time to talk to us at that moment, she would always schedule a time to chat with us within a few days so that we could discuss everything in detail and she could dedicate the appropriate amount of time. When there were emergencies (and there will be emergencies), she always came to the rescue immediately. There was never a time where I had to deal with an emergency alone and she would drop everything to resolve it. This is the person you want by your side on your special day and all of the days leading up to it.
