The award-winning staff at Function 45 set out to change the way events are designed, produced, and entertained. Our attention and dedication to each event is unique, makes an impact, and leaves people saying "How'd they do that?"
The idea is simple. Combine great performance with unique entertainment ideas. This combo delivers remarkable results. When that happens, you & your guests feel something they don't forget. From professional DJ and Master of Ceremony services to lighting, Photobooths, and Video production, we have services that engage people. Steve didn’t just play music; he created an experience. His energy, charisma, and seamless transitions made every moment feel special. From the heartfelt introductions to the perfectly timed announcements and the high-energy dance sets, he kept the vibe exactly where it needed to be.
We also got the photobooth through Steve, and it was perfect! We didn’t have to worry about setup or anything — everything was taken care of seamlessly. Our guests had a blast taking fun photos and leaving us heartfelt (and hilarious) video messages. It was such a hit and added an extra layer of fun to the night!
If I knew then what I know now, I would pay double for Steve because he truly had the biggest impact on the night. Out of all of our amazing vendors, we received the most compliments on Steve! He brought our vision to life in a way that exceeded every expectation.
He also handled last-minute requests and curveballs with absolute ease, ensuring the night went off without a hitch. Whether it was the perfect slow song during a tender moment or a party anthem that had everyone cheering, Steve absolutely nailed it! Even my out-of-town guests were asking how they could get Steve to Texas for their daughter’s wedding.

Steve Schon is one of the most talents DJ's in the Sacramento region- and probably one of the best in the nation. He has a GOLDEN voice perfect for any wedding and event. He is also outstanding when working with other wedding professionals. I was delayed in traveling from a wedding ceremony in Placerville- and Steve waited to start the bridal party introductions at the reception until I had arrived and was prepared to film. Only the best DJ's would have given that consideration.
