We are Chelsea and Steven, a husband/wife team of artists passionate about capturing genuine love stories through artistic, emotive photography and films. On the wedding day, you might catch Steven joking with the groomsmen while keeping them on schedule, flying his drone, running a tight ship with family portraits, or taking a shot of whiskey at the end of the night with the groom. You'll find me hugging the bride's mom when the emotions of the day hit her, prioritizing alone time for the bride and groom to have a moment together away from all the noise, or bossing my husband around (Steven made me say this). Steven is recognized for his imaginative drone work, unconventional silhouette portraits, and fun personality. I’m known for my artistic vision, knack for capturing genuine laughter and tears, and personable, friendly attitude with everyone. We are both genuinely obsessed with traveling to new places, raising our two beautiful children, and repeatedly rewatching every episode of The Office while we edit. Being part of our couples' wedding days is such an honor and a dream for the both of us. We love creating art that our clients and their families will cherish forever.

Truly Amazing!!
Where do I even begin?? Chelsea & Steven were hands down the best photographers we could have had capturing our wedding. They made everyone feel comfortable behind the camera and made sure to capture the most unique & precious moments from our day. Words are truly not enough to express Chelsea and Steven's talent. Their creative vision and attention to detail is so impressive. There photos and videos tell such a unique story & they were truly able to capture the feeling of our special day so that we can relive it over and over again, forever! They took every single bit of stress off of us when it came to all photo/video needs. We got to sit back and soak in our day while they were making magic happen behind the camera.

Chelsea and Steven were an absolute dream to work with! They were both very professional and great at making everyone laugh to get those amazing candid photos at our wedding. They made us both feel super comfortable/relaxed in front of the camera. Incredible.
Chelsea and Steven were the absolute dream team to have as photographers at our wedding. My husband, Mike, and I have always felt uncomfortable behind a camera, yet somehow, these two managed to capture photos of us that were beyond our wildest imagination. They are both so down-to-earth, patient, honest, and above all, so passionate about what they do, which is reflected in their work. Their creative vision and keen eye for detail is so impressive. They have a unique sense of storytelling through their photos and videos, capturing all the genuine moments and allowing us to relive the best day of our lives over and over and over again. Most importantly, they took EVERY ounce of stress off us in terms of photo/video because we didn’t have to think twice about what photos needed to be taken or wondering if they were getting everything we wanted. We just got to sit back and truly enjoy our wedding day, knowing they would find us to take specific pictures if they saw fit- or just give us a chance to step away from everything to spend time together, capturing all of those intimate moments- and that their eye and vision would be infinitely better than anything we could imagine. There’s no words for how grateful we are to have had Chelsea and Steven as our photographers and have no doubt that we will use them again for ALL photography needs in the future.

Stop looking and book Flightless Bird for your engagement/wedding!
Chelsea and Steven were incredible from the start. Not only do they give you hundreds of lovely photos, they make you FEEL great during the sessions. My husband and I have never felt comfortable in front of the camera, but we had so much FUN working with Flightless Bird for both our engagement photos and wedding. Steven even saved our bridal attendant from a llama! They are extremely fast at responding to emails/schedules and are just a phone call away if you have questions. I can't get over how much we love our photos. Flightless bird gives you photos that are true works of art and you know you're getting a crew that has amazing vision for this profession. Honestly, stop your endless searching for wedding vendors and email them :)

Beyond Expectations
Book them now! They are amazing and so fun to work with. I am super awkward at posing but Chelsea and Stephen made me feel comfortable and helped guide me!
The photos were beyond my expectations and the wedding video was totally worth the money!

If you’re looking for a husband and wife team who can capture every moment of getting ready for your special day pick them! From your dainty Wedding earrings to scenic lookout portrait shots, to moody woodland vibes - these guys go above and beyond to capture every second of your wedding day. They took pictures I wasn’t expecting and exceeded my expectations (which were high because I mean just look at their work!) You will not regret choosing them! The dream team!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Flightless Bird Photography. Chelsea and Steven were so sweet and helpful throughout the entire wedding process. Chelsea helped with so much, from the wedding timeline to keeping me calm throughout the day. Steven made the pictures so fun for all of the groomsmen who would normally not enjoy having to take all of those pictures. We had a crazy storm and power outage on our wedding day and they somehow made it beauty out of the chaos, all while making sure we were as relaxed as we could be. I also really appreciated how Chelsea addressed my 5 year old flower girl by her name and spoke directly to her. She made her feel so special. My family had so many positive things to say about Flightless Bird Photography. Our venue owners were also absolutely obsessed with the team and their style. Both our engagement and wedding photos are absolutely beautiful and something we will cherish forever. I plan to recommend this team to all of my friends in need of photography in the future and we will certainly continue to use them throughout our life for family pictures.

The absolute best!
Flightless Bird is absolutely incredible! I cannot recommend them highly enough. Chelsea and Steven are talented, professional, and so much fun to work with. Both our engagement session and our wedding had some unexpected rain and instead of letting me panic, Flightless Bird made the experience fun and turned the photos into absolute magic!! Amazing photographers
Chelsea and Steven are the dream team! They are very responsive, easy to work with, and so wonderful at what they do. We knew we wanted to hire them from the first moment we laid eyes on their online gallery, but once we had our first conversation with them there was no doubt they would be the perfect fit.
