Working with Fete Photography was a wonderful experience. The engagement shoot was perfect. Derek was willing to go on a mile hike to capture the sunset with us. He was flexible, easy going, fairly priced, easy to communicate with throughout the planning process and the wedding day but most importantly he captured incredible images!

Derek and Kristi are absolutely the best wedding photographers in Asheville! I have planned weddings in the area for 6 years and always loved their work and working with them. When it came time to hiring a photographer for my own wedding, I knew I wanted Fete to be there!! Derek did our engagement photos which came out fantastic and was a joy to have at our wedding! He’s very laid back but knows how to pose couples and get the most magical shots! He’s also very flexible and was willing to ride a lazoom bus with us to the ceremony and back with no real seat. I’m so glad we had him there for our big day!! I am obsessed with our sneak peak photos and can’t wait to see the rest!!

Fete Photography is amazing!! Kristi and Derek are great at capturing both posed portraits but also great at capturing important moments of the day that happen on the fly - it's hard to find a photographer that can do a great job at both, and Kristi and Derek did an amazing job, plus they gave us a really good variety of shots and angles. For example, our first kiss at the altar at the end of the ceremony was such a quick moment, but somehow they captured many beautiful different types of shots of this important quick moment! I don't know how they did it - we were impressed! During the planning process, they responded to all our e-mails quickly, and on the wedding day itself, they were fantastic to work with! They made sure that we got pictures with all the family members we wanted to get pictures with. I had a very large dress and Kristi held the train of my dress as we moved to different locations to take bride & groom pictures after the ceremony - her mindfulness of my delicate dress was very helpful and meant a lot!! And the pictures turned out beautiful! They also did a really good job with any editing/color correction they did on the pictures - Derek and Kristi definitely have a good artistic eye and perfectly captured our day. We have so many favorite pictures that it is hard to pick ones to put in an album! My husband and I highly recommend Fete Photography!

Derek and Kristi were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING to work with! They were professional, fun, easy going, informative, and most importantly took the best pictures! We were lucky enough to do our engagement and wedding day pictures with them. We had several touch points with them prior to both events (engagement shoot and wedding day) to discuss vision and get recommendations from them on attire, location, moments, etc. Everything felt like it fell perfectly into place but I know it happened that way because of their excellent advice, guidance and obvious experience. All of our favorite moments for our engagement and wedding photos were captured so beautifully. They were our buddies throughout the whole process and were a joy to work with. They were also very timely in their picture turnaround which was amazing because we couldn't wait to see the pictures! They had wedding day highlights over to us just 3 days after our wedding. We loved Fete! They were everything we could have wanted in a photographer and so much more. They pulled us out every time the light changed and captured some of our favorite pictures. They weren't intrusive in the day but they were everywhere at all times. Any time someone raised a phone to take a picture with us, Derek or Kristi was right there taking it with them. Their posed photos were great but we hired Fete photography for their ability to capture the candid moments in our day and they delivered! We believe that the candid moments they caught are what separates Fete from other photographers. I am attaching some of our few favorite candids but there are 800 more where these came from. Hire Fete, you will not be disappointed!

This husband and wife duo are not only two of the nicest people we've ever met, they are incredible photographers! They did not miss a beat when shooting our wedding and engagement. They got every shot we requested and made it so easy on us. We are in love with our pictures and will cherish them forever!

Derek and Kristi were great to work with! We choose them because of their more artistic photographs and beautiful lighting. They were so kind from the moment we arrived. Both made us feel very comfortable (even though we are not photo people). We felt like we were just spending time together and they happened to be there taking photos. They gave just enough instruction that we know we got great photos, but we still felt natural. Even the family portraits were comfortable and quick (thank goodness). Now we just can’t wait to see our photos!

We really enjoyed working with Derek and Kristi on our wedding day! They were professional, friendly, fun, and knew all of the best spots at our venue (The Farm, Asheville). It was great having two photographers, especially at the beginning of the day so Kristi could stay with me and my bridesmaids as we were getting ready and Derek could stay with the groom and groomsmen. They were super easy going and flexible to work with. They even sent us a few photos ahead of schedule, upon request, so we could use them on our thank you cards. We received the rest of our photos the other day and were blown away. Our wedding day was rainy and cloudy, but the photos have such a glow and warmth to them, they're so beautiful! They did a great job capturing our day and our guests and we highly recommend team Fete!
