Working with Fete Photography was a wonderful experience. The engagement shoot was perfect. Derek was willing to go on a mile hike to capture the sunset with us. He was flexible, easy going, fairly priced, easy to communicate with throughout the planning process and the wedding day but most importantly he captured incredible images! -

Derek and Kristi are absolutely the best wedding photographers in Asheville! I have planned weddings in the area for 6 years and always loved their work and working with them. When it came time to hiring a photographer for my own wedding, I knew I wanted Fete to be there!! Derek did our engagement photos which came out fantastic and was a joy to have at our wedding! He’s very laid back but knows how to pose couples and get the most magical shots! He’s also very flexible and was willing to ride a lazoom bus with us to the ceremony and back with no real seat. I’m so glad we had him there for our big day!! I am obsessed with our sneak peak photos and can’t wait to see the rest!! -

We loved Fete! They were everything we could have wanted in a photographer and so much more. They pulled us out every time the light changed and captured some of our favorite pictures. They weren't intrusive in the day but they were everywhere at all times. Any time someone raised a phone to take a picture with us, Derek or Kristi was right there taking it with them. Their posed photos were great but we hired Fete photography for their ability to capture the candid moments in our day and they delivered! We believe that the candid moments they caught are what separates Fete from other photographers. I am attaching some of our few favorite candids but there are 800 more where these came from. Hire Fete, you will not be disappointed! -

Derek and Kristi were great to work with! We choose them because of their more artistic photographs and beautiful lighting. They were so kind from the moment we arrived. Both made us feel very comfortable (even though we are not photo people). We felt like we were just spending time together and they happened to be there taking photos. They gave just enough instruction that we know we got great photos, but we still felt natural. Even the family portraits were comfortable and quick (thank goodness). Now we just can’t wait to see our photos! -

Derek and Kristi were amazing. They are the kindest people and we're SO happy with out wedding photos. We continue to get compliments from friends and family. We provided a list of must-have pics and they knocked it out of the ballpark. they're super easy to work with and very responsive along the way. We highly recommend them!! -

Choosing a photographer was the most important decision for us when selecting vendors for our wedding. Derek & Kristi's photography was stunning, so the decision was easy. Our only concern was, because we live out of state, how easy or difficult it would be to connect and relate with our photographers or communicate about how our day would be captured. Derek & Kristi quelled this fear early on with a clear and open phone call, wherein we were able to discuss the venue, their familiarity with the space, and what we wanted from their services. D & K were very polite and were great listeners, and there was never a moment where we weren't sure if we made the right choice. They showed up on time on our wedding day, worked quickly and courteously, and were extremely reassuring as we awkwardly posed in front of strangers with cameras. In the end, the photographs were INCREDIBLE and we could not be happier for choosing Fête to capture our big day. Thank you for the beautiful photos, Derek & Kristi!! -

Hiring a wedding photographer is such a personal decision. We could not have made a better one in choosing Derek and Kristi for our daughter’s wedding at the fabulous Biltmore Estate. Since this was a destination wedding, from our first talk with them to actually meeting them in person, they made us feel so comfortable and were fabulous to work with. Of course, they captured the moments we expected a photographer to capture. But they were also able to capture some of the most sweet, tender, intimate moments of the day, and for that we will be forever grateful. Their work is truly art. Thank you both so much! -

Chelsea Sent on 06/05/2018Hire Fete photography they wont disappoint!! They were a favorite "vendor" to work with because they were so responsive, professional and kind. We were thrilled with; our engagement pictures, Chinese tea ceremony pictures and wedding pictures. We adore their style and sharp eye for unique and artsy shots. Most of my relatives neglected to show up for portraits(including my grandparents) but I was pleased to find that Fete grabbed many candid photos with these important individuals. Photos were particularly important to my Husband and Fete did not disappoint. Fete worked with us and our crazy ideas including great canoe pictures! -

Chelsea Sent on 05/23/2018I can't begin to explain how happy the photos from our wedding make me. Derek and Kristi did an amazing job. Having two photographers made all the difference. Kristi stayed with me while getting ready and Derek with the groomsman so all the special moments were captured. Both are kind and unimposing, so easy to have around all day. But, they will be honest and tell you if a requested shot won't work or would be unflattering, which I was thankful for. Their candid shots are just as good as the posed portraits. I had requested certain family members be in a lot of photos (the family members who are usually behind the camera and often get left out) and they did not disappoint. All the photos were delivered to us in a timely manner. I have received countless compliments on anything I have shared and posted. The photos are a treasure and I am forever thankful to Derek and Kristi for capturing our special day.
Tip: We did our engagement shoot with Fete as well which I would highly recommend. It was important to us to see how they operate and to get comfortable in front of the camera before the actual wedding. -
Shelby Sent on 11/25/2017Kristi and Derek of Fete Photography were an absolute dream to work with for our fall wedding from start to finish. When we met them to discuss booking, they were extremely professional and had a beautiful album of a wedding they had done to show us an example of their work. We added an engagement shoot to our package in order to get comfortable with them prior to the wedding, which turned out amazing. They were extremely receptive when I emailed them to meet a week prior to the wedding to go over final details. On they day of the wedding, they completely blew me away with how hard-working they were! Everyone kept admiring how they were there for every moment. When we received our photo gallery I was stunned with how wonderful they turned out. They perfectly embodied the love that my husband and I have for each other in every picture. I cried going through the gallery because each image brought me back to our special day. They caught every single moment and in the most beautiful way. I would recommend Fete Photography to anyone who wants to preserve their wedding day in the most beautiful way.

I was specifically looking for an amazing photographer that was very familiar with the Biltmore, and Derek and Kristi delivered that and more! When I saw the photos from our wedding, I was simply blown away by how fantastic they were. They captured all of the big shots I wanted, and some very special photos I didn't even remember them taking! We are so impressed and beyond happy with our photos. THANK YOU Derek and Kristi!

can not say enough wonderful things about Fete! They were everything I wanted and more. Kristi and Derek were so professional and super nice. They captured everything I wanted from the ceremony to the reception and our portraits. Their use of color and angles is so different than your standard wedding photography... it will really make your pictures stand out. They somehow manage to get these amazing shots without disrupting any of the action. I have received numerous compliments on how great the photos turned out and a lot of guests even ended up sharing them on their own social media ;) You will not regret having them shoot your wedding. I promise! -
