First of all, she is so kind and has a way of putting everyone at ease—which is great, because my husband and I are both a little awkward in front of the camera. But you'd never be able to tell in the final product! Her work is absolutely stunning, and she captured so many special moments. I love her portraits, but the candid photos she captured have my heart. You won't regret hiring her!

I was lucky to find Liza’s beautiful work while planning my NY wedding from CA, and knew right away that I wanted her to shoot our wedding. She was communicative through email and text, and gracious enough to meet up with me during my pre-wedding trip to NY ahead of the wedding. She was even lovelier and kinder in person than I could have imagined, and sitting down with her to chat about wedding photography was like chatting with an old friend. Every time she posted photos I would get more and more excited for her to document our day, and she somehow exceeded our expectations. She was truly a fly on the wall at the wedding and got so many perfect shots of things I didn’t even know I wanted, but I’m so grateful to have them. Looking at our wedding album is my new favorite hobby because Liza’s photographs help us experience the day over and over again, and each time is just as perfect as the actual day. I knew I wanted Liza as our wedding photographer the moment she introduced herself to the community of West Point girlfriends, and as soon as I got engaged, I emailed her to set up our engagement shoot. Liza was extremely flexible right from the start - even when she texted me the day before our engagement session saying a tropical storm was rolling in! We ended up doing our photos in the rainy weather and they could not have come out better. Anyone can make sunshine feel warm, but she managed to showcase our love as the warmth in these photos. Then, I was thrilled to find out she was sticking around West Point for an extra year and would be available for our wedding! Once we had our date set, we immediately booked her. Liza sent us a detailed questionnaire about what we were looking for, important moments we wanted captured, the feelings we hoped to see in the photos, and any other information she should be sensitive of on our wedding day. Day of, Liza was truly a fly on the wall, taking in every special moment, photographing the joy in the room, without interfering with guests' enjoyment of the big day. When we received our gallery, I was so shocked by some of the photos - they were of the most precious moments and so up close and personal, and yet I don't remember her being there taking the picture. Even formal photos were a complete joy; she not only knows how to set up the typical portrait shots (from 1 person to 35+ people in a single shot!) but had fun and silly prompts to create photos that are so fun and created great memories! She sent us a bunch of photos the day after our wedding to post and we had our full gallery back and beautifully edited within her 8-week timeframe, along with a sweet blog post (it's nice to relive the day through someone else's eyes!). We will cherish the photos she gave us forever.

Her services are very well-priced for the Hudson Valley area, and she will go out of her way to make your day what you hope it will be. Case in point: on our wedding day, her car literally broke down on the highway, and she left it there (ah!!) to make it on time to our wedding. I couldn't believe it. She's just that person: she will go out of her way to do her job and do it insanely well.
