Kevin made our ceremony meaningful and special!
Kevin Yell, who owns the Ainsworth House Gardens (where our ceremony and reception were held) created a most beautiful and meaningful. We wrote our own vows, and had a lot of input for the ceremony, and still, Kevin said the most wonderful and beautiful words, his blessings and reverence of this sacred act were incredible! I would highly recommend him - even if the wedding is not at Ainsworth House & Gardens. Highly recommended!!!Sent on 06/18/2019

Kevin was an absolute pleasure to work with and was key in making our ceremony beautiful! He tailored the ceremony to fit us and offered ideas that we had not considered. Not only is he eloquent and experienced, offering great incite, but he has a subtle wit & a lovely British accent :) He is also incredibly kind & considerate! He took the time during his vacation in NYC to meet with us to discuss our ceremony, since we live on the East coast. We loved working with him and highly recommend him to all!Sent on 07/14/2016

Wow... we were blown away by Rev. Kevin Yell.Sent on 10/06/2015
We met with Kevin a bit on a whim. We had originally lined up an officiant with the church that was marrying us. When her schedule fell through in the last minute, we weren't terribly pleased with the alternative that they offered, so we asked our coordinator who she would recommend. She gave us Kevin's name on the advice of a colleague (weird on distant this advice can get, right?). We sent him a message to meet up and he was very prompt in his reply.
We met Kevin at his home and business, The Ainsworth House, in Oregon City. If you haven't been there, you should find an excuse to go, as it is an absolutely decadent restored home from the mid-nineteenth century. We introduced ourselves and soon got to know Kevin and his particular philosophy of love, relationships, and spirituality. The man is poetic, and his philosophy is incredibly warm, accessible, and welcoming. It was exactly what we were looking for. He emphasizes the retention of individuality within the relationship, and the active choice of two distinct people coming together to love one another.
Kevin met with us several times in preparation, was very encouraging and creative in developing the type of ceremony that we were looking for, and nailed it when it came down to the big day. I can't wait to get the video back so we can listen to the whole thing again.
We plan on meeting with Kevin in the future for couples counseling, and could not recommend him enough for those interested in a thoughtful, compassionate, poetic officiant who will create the romantic, accessible ceremony that you're looking for.
