About
On WeddingWire since 2010
The Wedding Judge has three wedding officiants - Anthony, Emily, and Henry.
Anthony is a licensed attorney who started officiating weddings in Oregon as a Judge (hence The Wedding Judge). Because he enjoys it so much and seems to have a knack for it, he has continued officiating all over Oregon and Washington even after leaving the bench.
The Wedding Judge has expanded in the 15 years since Anthony officiated his first wedding and has added two additional officiants - Emily and Henry. Emily is amazing with people. To know her, really is to love her. She will definitely leave an impression on you and your guests. Families are always trying to feed her after her ceremonies. Henry is kind, funny, compassionate, and professional. Though Anthony has officiated his fair share, Henry is The Wedding Judge's resident expert on non-binary and LGBTQ+ ceremonies.
The three of them have officiated thousands of weddings in the Pacific Northwest in all different types of venues - from backyards to livingrooms to parks to prisons, jails, and courthouses to cable cars to churches to backstage during the intermission at the Portland Ballet's performance of the Nutcracker to fancy hotels and beautiful gardens to beaches, waterfalls, and mountain vistas off the beaten path. Anthony is only the second person to have officiated a wedding in the Oregon State Capitol Building, and the only person to do so in modern times.
Ceremonies are completely customizable because Anthony, Emily, and Henry want you to have the wedding you want. They are very flexible and can accommodate short notice weddings - even same-day ceremonies. They can even accommodate couples who don't have witnesses.
For couples who want a "courthouse" type wedding without the courthouse setting, Anthony, Emily, and Henry offer their services at a significant discount. Anthony can officiate ceremonies in both English and Spanish. Se habla Espanol.
Most couples don't know this, but the marriage license contains all of the information necessary for someone to steal a couple's identities, and the officiant has access to the license. Anthony has drafted legislation and testified before the Oregon Legislature to help protect this information, and as a former judge, and licensed attorney, Anthony is legally and ethically obligated to keep your information safe. Emily and Henry abide by the same standards.

The Wedding Judge is wonderful! Three cheers for Oregon Weddings.. :)

Anthony was kind and he seemed like he had a gentle soul. Exactly whom a bride and groom need to perform their wedding.

Anthony was the officiant for our wedding ceremony, and we are both so happy to have had him! He listened carefully to what we wanted and gave us so many beautiful options and ways to design our ceremony. In the end, we decided a short and simple ceremony was "us" and he added enough fluidity to the ceremony to make it perfectly beautiful. I will be highly recommending him to all my brides as the best officiant in Oregon.
