We were lucky enough to be referred to Anthony. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. The communication was prompt and very informative. His advice and suggestions were very helpful. They were flexible with scheduling. We wanted a pretty informal marriage signing, and ended up choosing a cafe that was meaningful to us. Anthony and Emily met us there before the scheduled time, and made the process so easy and enjoyable. We loved sitting and talking with them. And when we have a bigger, more public ceremony, we 100% plan to hire them again.

Park Elopement
We had such a good experience with Henry as our officiant. My partner and I wanted it to be just us at a local park with no witnesses. We planned on asking whatever people were in the park and at first we didn't see anyone, but Henry was great at going with the flow and finding us so volunteers. We happened to find two retirement age people out walking their dogs who were willing to be our witnesses. They turned out to be neighbors and had a good time chit chatting and their dogs were happy to see each other. It really couldn't have been more perfect with happenstance and it all felt very Portland. It was just as low key as we wanted, just a few sentences of I do, and I do, and the whole process was well explained with easy communication for a great price. We had considered getting married at the courthouse since we wanted practically no ceremony, but this was a much much nicer memory to have for us, and I'm so glad we found this business. The park even had a little hike above it that we did after the wedding and was a great suggestion for location. 10/10 would recommend them to anyone!

I highly recommend Emily and her husband Anthony! Anthony was extremely helpful with the behind the scenes work before the ceremony, he sent us sample ceremonies and edited our custom ceremony. He provided good feedback for the flow of the ceremony and was very responsive. On the day of the wedding Emily officiated our ceremony beautifully, she was very composed and spoke articulately. Her calm demeanor made both my husband and I feel at ease at the altar and we got many compliments on her officiating skills.

Anthony was very helpful through the entire process. We weren’t entirely sure how to approach the process but he made it so easy. He gave us a wedding ceremony checklist to assist with what we needed. He gave us good location recommendations and was extremely flexible when we decided to change our location. Henry, the officiant, was also very nice and amazing. He gave us ideas on where we could do the ceremony at Trillium Lake. The entire experience was a 10/10 thanks to both of them and I 100% recommend them for your wedding/elopement.

As disorganized as our wedding day felt Anthony really made this so quick and easy. It was super helpful that he provided a guide on what steps you need to take in order to get married. I also loved how he provided a Spanish ceremony for our family who doesn’t speak any English. He was also super flexible when we had to push back our ceremony an hour later. Knowledgeable, friendly and professional
Mr. Behrens was a joy to work with. My husband is incarcerated and the chaplain had several officiants to choose from but the inmates heard great things about Mr. Behrens. To hear that from other inmates was hugely important because communication within the prison system is convoluted to say the least. Mr. Behrens was prompt on email responses, he is very flexible to last minute ceremony speeches, he is very good at officiating.
We had a great ceremony despite it being in a prison, but with the love/support of family and friends and Mr. Behren we almost forgot where we were for an hour.
You will not be disappointed in his services.

Emily was amazing, she showed up in all black which match our guest attire to a T which was perfect. Emily was so professional it was amazing. Emily rolled with any changes but we only had one which was to announce an unplugged ceremony. When my father in laws phone went off Emily paused and picked up like nothing happened. During vow reading Emily stepped aside. Emily knew the lay of the land it was amazing.

I’ll be honest, I had no idea what I was doing planning this thing, and it was a little past our ceremony start time and everyone was still chatting. I told Emily that we were needing to start soon and I was struggling to get everyone in their seats, so she made an announcement for me, everyone got seated quickly, and we were able to get started. Wonderful Ceremony thanks to Anthony!
Anthony was one of the easiest vendors to work with and was very professional in his communication with us. My husband and I were very overwhelmed with the planning of a wedding and Anthony had a variety of ceremony styles to offer us. We did not want the additional stress of having to write our own vows, though he did offer this to us, or having another vendor to have to communicate with frequently/ meetings so Anthony was perfect for us. Anthony has a very pleasant voice which made him easy to listen to and did not detract from our ceremony. I had so many people come up and complimented us on the beautiful message of the ceremony. Anthony did file our marriage license for us which was a huge help since this was a destination wedding for us. Anthony was not involved with the rehearsal and we met him during our ceremony. This is what we were looking for, someone to just show up and marry us! However, I can see how some couples would want a more involved process with their officiant. I thought it was a very fair price for the delivery of a beautiful ceremony.

Ecola State Park Elopement
I could not have imagined this experience going to smoothly, but thanks to Anthony, our elopement and the pre/post-marriage planning and responsibilities were nearly stress free and so much fun! Anthony was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and flexible. He was even open to hiking 3-4 miles for the ceremony (we ended up changing our plans in the end, but it's the thought/willingness that counts)! Our Oregon Coast Wedding
Anthony was amazing. We didn’t meet until a few minutes before the ceremony, but it was so simple and sweet. He was a great addition to our wedding day. With our original officiant backing out fairly last minute and us not being able to find another person close to us willing, Anthony was very accommodating with less than 2 weeks notice. We really enjoyed working with Anthony for our ceremony. From the initial reach out to the after ceremony email to inform us how to obtain copies of our marriage license, Anthony was always quick to respond and provide us with the information we needed. For the ceremony script, he provided us with a packet containing sample scripts to go from, and we could feel free to modify them as we liked. Anthony was extremely easy to work with. He sent us some sample ceremony scripts, and we were able to use one as-is, make any number of modifications, or provide him with a completely different script. He was responsive, showed up on time, and had the entire script memorized perfectly. He also filed the paperwork with the county after the wedding for us! The best officiant!
Anthony was an amazing officiant for our elopement. He was communicative, creative, and beyond easy to work with! Anthony not only has a wide variety of vows that we could customize, he also took care of everything behind the scenes. We got our license quickly and he was able to answer all of our questions. He laid out everything with needed to take care of ahead of the wedding along with timelines and prices. We were eloping so we weren’t able to meet him until the afternoon of the wedding, but he made an extra effort to get to know both of us which made the event even more special. We Highly Recommend Anthony Behrens!
Anthony was the perfect officiant! He worked with me and my husband until the very last minute helping to make our ceremony just what we wanted. Even when we threw a curve ball at him and totally changed the way we wanted our ceremony a week before the wedding, he was so patient and kind and 100% on board! We appreciated that very much. In my position, I felt very awkward restructuring the ceremony so last minute, but Anthony didn't even make me think twice about it after I sent the email. That really meant a lot! As for his actual performance, it was outstanding! Even when we found out that the marriage license got left at home by mistake so he had to wait for someone to go get it and bring it to the venue, he was so chill about the whole thing. He never made us feel like he was put out. He was a very warm and friendly person. Our favorite part is that he filed the marriage license at the courthouse for us, so we were able to leave for our honeymoon and not worry about making sure it got filed on time. Anthony Behrens was everything we wanted in our officiant and we will be recommending him to all of our friends and family members who are still to be wed.

Anthony was very flexible and professional. My wife and I had planned to elope, but some inclement weather ruined our plans of having the ceremony outside. The night before, we decided to have it in Powell's in Portland, and Anthony was very flexible and accommodating. He made our wedding amazing
The amazing wedding judge helped me make my dreams come true, in the middle of covid! Me and my wife wanted to get out of Oklahoma for our wedding, and decided to travel to rhododendron Oregon. We found the judge by chance in a tulsa message board. Best decision we made was getting in contact with him. He coordinated everything with us via email, hassle free and beyond helpful! He showed up early to meet us, and I'm so glad he did. There are those people you feel an instant connection with, and he is one of em. We had a pretty indepth conversation about life and what we had been through. By the end of the whole deal he says, I can't wait to read your book someday lol. Well guess what judge, lol in the works. We highly recommend the judge to anyone needing a professional official who will leave a lasting memory. So thankful for the small crew who helped us that day. The 3 of you who were there, were our family who couldn't make it. Much love sir.

My now Husband and I had moved up to PNW from AZ last year and we didn't have any friends to officiate for us. We interviewed Anthony after having a total shock at how boring another officiant we interviewed was and we loved him immediately. Such a wonderful experience!
Anthony was super helpful and really listened to what we wanted when we were in the process of planning our ceremony. It made it so much easier to have someone with his expertise in the process as well to make sure we didn’t miss any details. He was super personable, professional and had a great sense of humor. Enjoyed working with Anthony!
We hired Anthony to officiate out small family-only ceremony. We had considered going to the courthouse, but for only a little bit more, Anthony was able to come to a nicer location at a more convenient time. He was really flexible and easy to work with and provided us a lot of information ahead of time, so we could make sure we were prepared. Would highly recommend him to anyone planning a wedding!

Made our Elopement special!
We had such a great time with Anthony at our wedding on 8/17. We did a hiking wedding, where we hiked up a couple miles to an overlook at Mt. Hood, and Anthony was so gracious about coming along for the ride. Hiking a mountain on a hot day is not an ideal situation for an officiant I don't figure, but Anthony did it with great professionalism and without complaint.
As far as the ceremony itself, we were so impressed with his suggestions, pace, and knowledge of material. Everything was clean, concise, and frankly perfect. My wife was originally worried that what we had prepared was a little too long, and it turned out to be 100% spot on.
Before the wedding, he was communicative, responsive, and just made us feel entirely at ease with the entire process. Overall, I'd recommend Anthony's services to anyone that asked.

He was very professional, super nice guy, and even with a mask on was able to speak loudly and clearly enough for everyone to hear him. We were so happy to find Anthony to perform our wedding. Because we were out of state, we had to rely on previous reviews and an introductory phone call to get to know him. From the initial introduction, he has been pleasant and professional. His instructions were clear. The choices he gave us for our vows were comprehensive. Anthony was awesome! From the moment I reached out to him on Wedding Wire, he was easy to talk to, accommodating and most importantly, flexible! He guided us through our last minute elopement and he even suggested where to do the ceremony, which we loved and thought was perfect. He allowed us to customize our wedding script and was just very helpful throughout the process. I would definitely recommend him to other couples.

Stress-free and professional wedding ceremony on short notice
We highly recommend Anthony for a wedding officiant. He met us prior to the wedding to answer any questions and has a very laid back easy going personality. He is very professional and easy to work with. Anthony arrived on time and prepared. He did a wonderful job and guests at the wedding commented on what a great job he did. Anthony took care of all the paperwork afterwards giving us one less thing to think about. If you want a talented and reliable officiant, Anthony is your guy.

Anthony was very accommodating especially since we reached out to him about 2 weeks before our wedding date. We had last minute changes with our plans, but we are so glad we found him on WeddingWire. He was comprehensive with his services, very easy to work with, and open to hiking a bit to our elopement location. We opted for one of his ceremonies because it was well-written and represents our relationship. We highly recommend Anthony as an officiant!

Couldn't have been better! Loved this guy!
Me and my wife planned our Oregon getaway wedding from Oklahoma and found Anthony on Facebook through a Oregon Facebook group with raving reviews. I don't always what I believe in reviews, but Anthony is the real deal. Honestly didn't know him from Adam, until the day of. Anthony showed up prepared and ready to rock and roll. I got to spend time with him pre wedding. I must say he is a truly remarkable, friendly, honest person which is extremely rare these days. He went above and beyond to help us prepare for our big day, along with performing the service. He's definitely one of the main reasons our wedding and planning went so smoothly. We truly appreciate Anthony more than words could describe. He didn't have to do all he did but we are thankful he did. He's definitely got the personality that makes him the type of person you don't forget. His compassion for people and life are lost traits that should make a comeback. I will whole heartedly recommend Anthony for any and all wedding services many times over.

Anthony was excellent!
We hired Anthony last minute and he was very accommodating; met with us before the ceremony, offered several recommendations on venues, gave us step by step instructions on what to do prior to the ceremony, and gladly agreed to a very last minute venue change. Anthony was pleasant, he had the vows memorized (we chose to use vows of his as they were A+) and made no mistakes, and our guests thought he was great as well. We are very pleased with The Wedding Judge as our minister/officiant and recommend him highly!
