If I hadn't met Evelyn, I'm not sure my wedding would've happened. She has been the greatest light and comfort in such a huge milestone of my life. Despite numerous obstacles, Evelyn treated our planning process with a level of professionalism, kindness, and closeness that I rarely see in the event planning industry. From the beginning, she took the time to get to know my husband and I, and our love story. It's clear she genuinely loved us, and wanted to give us the best, most authentic wedding possible. And it was.

My husband and I had no idea what we wanted in terms of design; Evelyn took every jumbled thought in our head and actualized a gorgeous, whimsical day. Design and details are her expertise. Expect to be wowed with every choice--from the color palette, to unique guestbooks, to the types of flowers in your bouquets. She is not afraid to go against the norm, with bursts of color and unconventional choices for attire. Evelyn encouraged us to let our personalities shine; so many compliments from our wedding are thanks to her and her encouragment to be bold and original. It is a true gift to be able to say that our wedding reflected each of our personalities, and our love story, perfectly.

Finally, Evelyn dealt with different strong personalities with ease. You typically hear that your wedding is going to be the best day of your life, but you don't hear about how stressful it can be if you don't have the right support. Evelyn is that support. She is an expert mediator who will put you and your partner first, and make sure you remember it's *your* day. She balances creativity, organization, and warmth with ease. I feel that we've made a friend for life. I can't imagine hiring anyone else to plan my future events. Evelyn is our girl!

Evelyn was a Godsend when it came to planning our wedding. We had actually already been through one wedding planner who didn't pan out and had interviewed several others before a family friend recommended Evelyn. Evelyn is extremely knowledgeable and professional but also friendly and approachable. She helped us plan for things we had not even thought about, and was great at handling a lot of the minutia that we didn't need to be involved in so that we could focus on the bigger picture details. She was always very responsive and advocated for us with vendors when there were challenges. She also has a great sense of style and helped us unify the decor for our wedding. She made our experience as stress free as it could have been. Highly, highly recommend!

Evelyn was recommended to me by a colleague who had a destination wedding in 2021. I really wanted to make something similar happen for us, but did not even know where to begin. Evelyn helped us from selecting a location (researched and presented options), to keeping us on a timeline that was manageable the whole step of the way, to being with us in St. Maarten and putting out last minute fires. She gave us ideas that matched our vision, was honest if/when she thought something might not work or would be difficult, and helped us brainstorm tweaks when we needed it. She kept a good spirit the whole time and also knew how to be forward with vendors to ensure we were treated properly and had what we needed. If we didn't have her help, it never would have happened. But when it did, let's just say, everyone was blown away. Our wedding was unforgettable and Evelyn helped us make that happen.

Evelyn was absolutely amazing! She was very attentive and detailed from start to finish. So much goes into planning an event like a wedding. Evelyn was such a pleasure to work with, and I am so glad I decided to bring her on as my event coordinator. While I had everything booked from a vendor perspective, she was really able to pull everyone in and fill any gaps that I had. She is extremely knowledgeable and organized - it really shows in the work that she does.

10 years ago my Husband and I went to the courthouse to get married agreeing that on our 10th anniversary we would have a wedding! Being the planner of the family (trips, get togethers and parties) I began planning our wedding. Shortly after we learned we were expecting and I quickly realized I was going to need help! I began searching different planner sites and I had phone meetings with my final two planners. Upon my initial conversation with Evelyn I was “SOLD”. Her professionalism, her attentiveness and passion won me over! With less than a year to plan and pregnant we got the ball rolling. Evelyn didn’t miss a beat. Not only did she execute my vision but she also brought to light things I wasn’t aware of. She’s full of ideas, patience and serious about her work. Events by Evelyn is very professional and yet personable. Evelyn is very hands on and knowledgeable. Hiring her was definitely a smart move for our wedding. I truly enjoyed working with her for the following reasons:
Flexible, she understood my life. Pregnant with a special needs child starting Kindergarten and a preteen Evelyn was very understanding and flexible when it came to scheduling meetings/calls. She kept me on a timeline making sure I didn’t miss a beat but made sure to work around feedings, school needs and family time. Compassionate, about two weeks before our wedding we lost my Mother In Love. Evelyn told me to take the week to do what we needed to handle that. She answered all emails and handled any business she could with ease. I was very comfortable and confident to take care of what was needed for my Husband with no stress about the wedding because the planning was in great hands!! Lastly she’s great working under pressure (and applying it when needed with vendors 😉). The day before the wedding it SNOWED!!! My original makeup artist wasn’t able to make it to the venue; however when Evelyn returned she had 2 artist ready to get the job done and I had NO CLUE, of the stress that was taking place. Looking back I’m truly thankful for that, because of her I had the opportunity to enjoy my day to the fullest. So if you want someone who takes care of business, is compassionate and professional.
