Emily is the owner and lead photographer who is dedicated to capturing couples’ big occasions so that the photos are timeless, genuine representations of who they are together and the love that they share. Emily loves photographing weddings to capture all of the beautiful details and moments her couples so carefully plan out. Services Offered
Emily enjoys making the process as special and seamless as possible for her clients. This is why she likes to familiarize herself with the newlyweds-to-be who engage her services. This session allows her to figure out how the couple wants their milestone celebration to be captured. Emily Marcella Photography offers a complimentary engagement session when a couple books her for their full wedding day photography. This engagement session is important so that couples can get comfortable in front of the camera prior to their wedding day. These photos are ideal as save-the-dates! The wedding package includes the complimentary engagement photoshoot, eight hours day-of coverage, digital files, and much more. Planned our wedding in 30 days and she was so flexible. Emily was able to find a second photographer who was also amazing. She really took the time I wanted on my wedding pictures and captured the sweetest moments.

Emily was amazing!
We hired Emily for our wedding and engagement photography sessions, and both my husband and I are very shy on camera, but Emily made us feel very comfortable and got some great photos out of the shoots! She helped me figure out some of the timeline for our wedding and took the different detail photos as well as our family, wedding party, and couples photos. So far we’ve just received the sneak peek of the wedding photos, but I’m in love with the shots she’s sent over, and I can’t wait for the rest! She was also very quick to send us sneak peeks, and it only took her a few weeks to send us all the engagement photos, so I would imagine the same is true for the wedding photos. I would definitely recommend hiring her, and I will be keeping her in my contacts for any future photo shoots!!

Perfect Photographer
Emily was just fabulous! She made us feel comfortable during our engagement shoot and the entire wedding day. Price was great and she was very easy to work with. Emily has great advise and will help walk you through every part of your wedding photo plan. She captured our entire day and was never in the way. She was honest and helpful for every single step. We can't say enough good things about Emily. We plan to use Emily for other family events or future life moments we want perfectly captured.

Bloopers are the best!
Emily was absolutely the best photographer I could ever wish for. James and I are a mixed couple who always have a hard time finding a photographer who will not wash him out, or make me look too dark. Emily has perfected it and is the absolute best when it comes to telling us what to do so our photos aren't awkward. She always gives us more photos than we agreed on and takes her time to edit them all perfectly with a quick turn around time. After our wedding, James and I were looking for a few blooper-like photos to make a funny photo album and we had thought there just weren't any (which is too good to be true), but guess what, there were! All we had to do was email Emily and she quickly edited a few and send them right over. We absolutely loved them because those truly represent how dysfunctional our family really is. I cannot be more grateful and will be using Emily for all my future photography needs!

It was such an incredible honor to work with Emily and her team! We had Emily and another photographer capture our big day and it was truly the greatest experience. They both made it so easy and fun for us. They went above and beyond and even helped us with other things to ensure that everything went smoothly for us! I couldn’t be happier with the service we received and will definitely be booking with Emily for future events! The photos exceeded our expectations! She is truly talented!

Highly recommend!
Emily was flat out amazing to work with! We went to her for our engagement photos and we were not disappointed! My fiancé and I went into the photo shoot timid and not knowing exactly what to except but she made us feel super comfortable and after about 2 minutes into the shoot, we were literally just having fun and forgot we were even having our pictures taken! She was very quick with editing our photos and we had them back in only a few days! I would hands down recommend Emily for any and all photo needs!

Highly recommend!!
Emily was AMAZING throughout the entire process. She is very kind, talented, professional and caring. If I could give ten stars I would! The price was extremely reasonable for the Northern Virginia area and she went above and beyond my expectations. She was also very prompt at responding to my emails and I feel like she went the extra mile! She was able to capture every single moment that was important to me and even put in extra time to do so. Emily made everyone feel comfortable and I even had wedding guests come to me after the wedding and say how great she was. I received my sneak peak the next morning and was so impressed! In less than a week I got all of my photos which I was able to download on my computer off of her website. Emily has amazing marketing skills and the website was beautiful! I now have over 600 photos from my wedding that show every single detail, candid shots of all the guests (they love them!) and beautiful portraits that I can’t wait to have printed and framed! I was unable to afford a videographer and was worried about missing all of the little things but my fear went away thanks to Emily and her attention to detail and I’m thankful she was able to capture EVERYTHING. I would definitely want to use Emily Marcella Photography again in the future, and I highly recommend her services!
