Emily Marcella Photography offers a complimentary engagement session when a couple books her for their full wedding day photography. This engagement session is important so that couples can get comfortable in front of the camera prior to their wedding day. These photos are ideal as save-the-dates! The wedding package includes the complimentary engagement photoshoot, eight hours day-of coverage, digital files, and much more. Getting to know your photographer is a great first step in having a great photo experience. So why don’t I share a little more about myself…
Northern Virginia native, born and raised. I graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Marketing that has taken me through various roles. While I'm a nerd for marketing, there was something about photography that was more captivating.
My photography journey started as a volunteer photographer for a local non-profit which then connected me to families and couples. My passion for photography and the desire to learn as much as I could grew with every photo session. After my first few elopements in 2018, I was hooked on weddings. All of the beautiful details, an abundance of fresh flowers, and the cherished moments I get to capture for my couples is my 'why' for wedding photography.
Photography holds a lot of meaning for me but sometimes it’s hard to convey how deep that meaning is. Simply, photographs carry a lot of value since they contain the ones we love and moments in time that we treasure. Weddings are just that - a day filled with moments we treasure surrounded by the ones we love.
On the personal side of things - I live with my husband and (almost two) sons in Haymarket. In my free time, I enjoy being outside with my toddler going on all the walks, trying out local wineries and breweries, and enjoying the quiet moments when it's just my husband and I.
