The Best Place to Buy Your Dress
If you're looking to get the most gorgeous dress look no further. Even the staff are beautiful in how much they genuinely care about you, and how you will feel on your perfect day. Rosa was a gift and made my dress buying a moment I will never forget.

Brides by Demetrio's did an amazing job with my dress. My style consultant, Brittany, was the best! I went to Demetrio's with a certain idea in mind for a dress and Brittany suggested I try a few different styles on just to see how they looked. I figured I may as well try on as many styles as possible just to make sure I wasn't missing out on something great. I am so glad she made those suggestions because the second dress she showed me, which was definitely out of my style idea range, was absolutely perfect! I never knew I could look that amazing. Brides by Demetrio's provided such great service from dress selection to dress fitting. Everone I dealt with at Demetrio's was very nice, professional and easy to work with. I am very pleased with my experience and would definitely recommend this vendor to another bride.

I found the most beautiful wedding dress here at Demetrios. Imelda was my consultant. i wnet to try dresses with her 5 times. I found the dress that I loved, But kept taking my mom and some other frinds to check out the dress with me. Imelda was always very patient with me and never seemed bothered that I kept going back so many times. She never made me feel pressured . She would help me put the dress on and would give me all the time I needed to keep it on. She never made me fell like I needed to make the decision right there and then. Of course I took the dress. It is the most beuatiful dress. The dress arrived quickly. When it arrived (in March, my wedding was in August), I went in to try it on and make an appt for alternations. I took it home and went back in June for alterations. Penny did my alterations. She made the dress fit me like a glove. I was never worried that my dress would not be ready on time. I was and am sooo happy with my experience here at Demetrios

Everyone was very friendly. I got my dress off the rack and was able to use a discount from the San Diego Bridal Bazaar, which helped a lot! I'd recommend looking for a good sense of how much alterations are and the process for fitting, just so you are aware of what's to come. I felt like I didn't have a good grasp up front (which may be partly due to just my excitement at buying a dress and not worrying as much about the later details), and didn't realize how much everything would be all together with the alterations and sewing in built-in cups. I'm very happy with the uniqueness and details of my dress, and with the overall experience.

They say one thing always goes wrong at your wedding. For me, it was my dress. Both straps broke, at separate and very inappropriate times. The first strap broke seconds before I was to walk down the aisle which delayed me, freaked my husband out, and I walked down the aisle with SAFETY PINS keeping me together. Second strap was DURING my Father-Daughter dance, my Father and I having to change the choreography of our dance we took lessons for, and the photos show my broken strap dangling.
My consultant was great, my dress shopping experience was so fun, picked 8 bridesmaid dresses, all was well. A month later my bridesmaid dresses weren't available in my selected color and I had to settle for a different color, no discount offered (still not happy). My dress was heavily beaded, I have a large bust, and because my dress had a low back everything was relying on two tiny straps for support. At my first fitting, the straps were so tight they were digging into my shoulders and armpit and turned me red and really hurt within a minute. With other alterations it was $450!!!!! Yikes!!! At Fitting #2: It was still kind of ill-fitting in the top...but then since we were going to add cups to the bustline everything was supposedly going to fit perfectly. At the final fitting I was still constantly adjusting my breasts inside the dress, but it was 5 days to showtime and still needed to be pressed so I decided I'd strap them in with dress tape and hope for the best.
The dress fit well for the first half hour I had it on. But as the dress was getting warmer, things started loosening up and despite having a D cup I was no longer filling out the dress and the straps were getting pushed to the limit, and ultimately gave way. Perhaps the straps should have been reinforced, widened, or if it was explained to me that as the dress warms up things will loosen it could have prevented TWO terrible experiences during my wedding.

Phone Tag for Status Updates
I got married last week and I absolutely loved my dress. It fit me well thanks to the seamstress, Anna, and the first woman got the dress with, Melissa, was wonderful.
I would have reviewed Brides of San Diego higher if the customer service after purchasing my dress was better. I bought my dress in February and I was told that my dress would be in the shop mid-August. It made sense to me so I waited until August. I never got any notification that the dress came in when August came so I called and they said they would call me back. They didn't call me so I called them again. After 2 call backs, they told me that they had the dress and it needed the initial alterations because I made a request at purchase. Okay, that made sense so I left it at that. Two weeks go by and I didn't get any update. I called them again to get an update and they kept saying not to worry about it and it'll be ready on time. Mind you, its September when my wedding is in November so yeah, I was a little worried because I haven't even seen or put on the dress. At this point I called once a week to see what's going on. I finally got scheduled for an initial appointment mid-September but when I went, I was told that the dress wasn't there because they needed to order buttons! They had my dress for a month and they just realized they needed buttons for the initial alterations. They didn't get the buttons until the end of September so I finally got my initial fitting in early-October.
I'm honestly most frustrated with the fact that I had to go out of my way to find out about my wedding dress when I was told that I would get a phone call for when it arrives and basic status updates like "we can schedule you for your fittings now". Also, I felt like I was being talked down to every time I called about it.
TLDR, the dress looked great but I played phone tag with the staff to get status updates on my dress and I got it 1 week before the wedding so I guess 3 stars

I put down a refundable deposit for a dress on June 2016. Their normal policy is "All Sales are final" so I asked for it in writing when they offered to refund my money if I were to purchase a dress somewhere else. I found another dress in early Aug 2016 and called the store, spoke with my consultant Rosa to let her know I would like my refund back. I've called them several times and left messages with zero returned calls and even went into the store and spoke with a manager and they have been unresponsive. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company and only then did I get my money back 3 months later, not from the store but from the credit card company. I called them again a week ago and asked to speak with Laura, the manager and of course she was "busy" as soon as they heard my name and I still have not received a call from her.
It is absolutely unacceptable to not return someone's money in a timely manner. It was a large sum of money (approximately half of the cost of the dress which was over $3,000.00) that was sitting in my credit card accruing interest. As if wedding planning is not stressful in itself, I did not need to lose sleep over this store's inability to pay me back. Reading through some of the other reviews, I don't think I'm the only bride that has run into this issue. Proceed with caution.
